Vehicle has had multiple instances of lurching forward and/or not even moving when gas pedal is pressed. Several of these instances have occurred when coming to a stop or when trying to start from a stop. When the brake would be pressed the vehicle would jump forward. In one very memorable occurrence I was at a 4 way intersection coming to a stop and the vehicle lurched forward into the intersection almost hitting another vehicle. It also has issues when pressing the gas, you will give is gas and it won’t go anywhere and then all of a sudden lurch forward. We have several instances of a hard transmission shift where the vechile will “buck” and jar you into your seat. Vehicle has been to 3 dealerships, all state nothing is wrong, no codes were thrown.

ON NOVEMBER 2022 I HAD THE FIRST LOST OF POWER ON MY JEEP WRANGLER 2021 4XE SAHARA, I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY ON THE CARPOOL LANE ABOUT 65 MILES PER HOUR AND THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN LEAVING ME, MY MOM, MY AUNT AND MY SERVICE DOG IN THE MIDDLE OF THE [XXX] IN LOS ANGELES WHICH HIGH TRAFFIC FREEWAY WITH NO POWER TO KEEP MOVING I COULD HAVE GET KILLED AND MY FAMILY AS WELL. AFTER THAT THE JEEP HAS BEEN IN FOR REPAIRS FOR THE SAME ISSUE ANOTHER FOURTEEN (14) TIMES. CHRYSLER WONT ANSWER TO OUR REQUESTS. VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, ENGINE
When driving the jeep and the engine light comes on (this light comes on and off repeatedly but is mostly on). When the light is on you will have major issues when trying to accelerate regardless of the speed. if you push the gas to full acceleration the speed will drop down from 3-5 mph or completely drop to zero. If you leave your foot on the gas it will take 15-30 seconds for the engine to engage and provide power. It feels like its trying to look to the battery EV motor for power even though the battery is dead. in same cases the engine does not restart at all and i have had to pull over to the hard shoulder to pull off of live traffic. I have several videos showing the issue. i have been to the deal 4 times to have this reviewed and they keep telling me they can't find an issue regardless of the videos i have provided. at this time Jeep has taken my Vehicle and gave me a long term rental as they look into this issue more. My Videos are on my cell phone and i can't get them uploaded. I think i could compress the videos and e-mail them.

My 2022 4xe has been in the shop a total of 10 months due to engine shut down, (slamming to a stop while driving along w/ auto park engaging). All of this started after having the 22V865 recall preformed in 2023. The dealership has yet to figure out the remedy, despite popping multiple codes. This is a SERIOUS SAFETY issue that could ultimate kill someone, if Stellantis continues to turn a blind eye. The dealership released my Jeep unfixed, I am now looking for another dealership who may have an idea how to correct the problems.

Loss of power while driving in Electric mode with sufficient battery charge left. This has happened multiple times at speeds greater than 55 MPH. No error codes were reported on the dash. Required the car to be put manually into hybrid mode for power to be restored.

After charging my vehicle, I received a “Service Charging System” followed by a check engine light. I tried to shift gears from P (parking) to R (reverse) and it wouldn’t let me. When I finally got it to drive, my vehicle was only throwing hot air and it wouldn’t accelerate. I was going about 20 miles per hour and it loss all the speed. When I got to the light and tried to accelerate again, it moved for like 10 seconds and I wasn’t able to accelerate again leaving me stopped at the intersection for about 30 seconds. Once I was able to move again, my vehicle would stall.

While climbing a mountain pass between 2000' and 2500' MSL and passing some vehicles at approximately 70 mph, the vehicle suddenly lost power and multiple warning lights illuminated. These included: Service Electronic Throttle Control, Check Engine Light, Automatic Emergency Brake system failure, Adaptive Cruise Control system failure. After the initial power loss, the engine seemed to partially recover and could be driven below 60 mph until the vehicle was shut down and restarted. There were no signs or warnings of any impending failure. The coolant, engine oil, and transmission temperatures were well below the published limits. The danger was the power loss was sudden, unexpected, and at a critical time when passing large trucks and in the vicinity of heavy traffic with no emergency parking available. This reported event is the fourth time it has occurred. The vehicle has been taken to the dealer to repair it, and the dealers have attempted three times to fix it (all three times dealer fixed something different). All three times they reported the issue had been fixed, yet it has re-occurred after each time. It is currently scheduled for a fourth dealer visit.

My jeep quit while driving down [XXX] . I was the only one in the vehicle and was in the left lane. I pulled to the shoulder and shut down the vehicle. I could not get it to drive after I restarted. Vehicle was in the Jeep Dealer Garage 3 times within first 6 months of purchase. It would not start, it wouldn't turn over. Absolutely nothing. First time in they said my wife must have done something wrong because the next day it worked fine. Next time it happened to me, again I must have done something wrong because next day it was fine and they couldn't find a problem. Third time they found something (not sure what) but assured us problems were over. Next incident was January 2024, car now out of warranty and I was told it needed 2 new batteries at a cost of $800. Next incident is now, Vehicle wouldn't start and I had to get a jump to drop it off at dealer again. Next day they tested batteries and said they were good. Vehicle is still there 4 days later because they don't know.

The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while his wife was driving approximately 65 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated that the “Shift to Park and Restart" message was displayed. The contact's wife was able to pull the vehicle to the side of the road and restarted. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, but no failure was found. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000.

We ordered in April 2022, a 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Sahara plug-in hybrid, arriving late May 2022. In mid-June 2024, when starting the Jeep, it went into "limp" or "safe" mode. The Samsung EV battery was fully charged, indicating a 99% charge available, which translates to an approximate 24 mile range on the EV motor. The check engine light (CEL) came on as well as a "charging system failure" message came on in the center of the message center. The Jeep dealership in Temecula, CA, received the Jeep, which would only operate on the Internal Combustion Engine, and even then at 50% of available power, with the a/c system non-operable. The Internal Combustion Engine would not respond to throttle input, where it would not start (from engine off mode) more than a dozen times while en route to the Jeep dealership. It was unsafe being at the front of a long-line of cars when a light turned green and then applying the throttle, nothing happened, where we very nearly got rear-ended on multiple occasions. The DCH Temecula dealership who is servicing the Jeep advises the Samsung EV battery had an internal failure and requires replacement. The Samsung EV battery is on order or in transit/shipping, has not arrived. We have been without the Jeep approaching a month. In addition to our concern for this happening to others, we are really concerned about this being a recurring issue and problem.

I took my 2021 Jeep Wrangler to the dealership for the clutch recall, which has been completed. However, my Jeep is now stalling and they cannot seem to figure out what the problem is. They repeatedly tell me that it is a "software issue" but there is not resolution to this software issue. My vehicle cannot be safely driven. Each time the clutch is released and the gas is engaged, the vehicle stalls. There was an announcement sent to dealerships to suspend the completion of the recalls on 2021 Jeep Wranglers as there is an issue. Additional communication was expected on June 27, 2024. The service manager at the dealership called me yesterday to inform me that the Jeep engineers are aware of the problem but there is no fix and there is not anticipated timeline on the fix.

Jeep issued a recall number 19A in 2022. It's been two years with the company providing no solution or fix. The vehicle is designed for off-road use. The recall states that the failure could cause a fire. I would not like to be off-road and cause a fire in the forest. I've called the company multiple times.

About a week ago the light for the rear axel locked activated while driving in 2H. It comes on and off while driving sporadically. I called the dealer and the earliest appointment they have is for Oct 2024 which I had no choice but to take the appointment. Yesterday 7 July 2024 I checked the sensor for the rear axel for damages and cleaning. Nothing seemed burnt or worn out except when I cleaned the connector coming out from the axel it had traces of fresh oil. Oil is coming out through the sensor.

July 2024 – driving over 40 mph the Rubicon on a busy two-lane highway with my [XXX] and lost all acceleration. Interior warning lights started flashing with the warning, “Service Electric Throttle Control.” As this was up hill, there I nearly started going backwards and two vehicles swerved around me as I was able to pull over. As cars honked that drove by, I turned the vehicle off which was at this point, making a rattling/wobbling noise. I turned the vehicle back on and off at least three times, with hybrid vehicle working. As I was two miles from home, I was able to get back with the vehicle dropping acceleration (with no horsepower and no ability to go on gas mode) twice until I rolled back in basically neutral. We called USAA to have the vehicle immediately towed to Jeep Rairdon in Kirkland, WA. Jeep Rairdon said they would do an inspection three days later where they will assess if we can get a loaner. I HAVE A 2023 JEEP WRANGLER 4X3, IT HAS BEEN THE SAME SINCE MARCH 28, 2023 AT THE ALBERIC CHRISLER DEALER IN SAN JUAN PUERTO RICO. IT HAS PROBLEMS WITH CHARGING AND IT DOESN'T WANT TO CHARGE. THEY CHANGED A MODULE AND IT DOESN'T CHARGE. AS THE 23V787000 CAMPAIGN HAS NOT BEEN NOTIFIED TO PUERTO RICO, THE DEALER HAS NOT TAKEN ANY ACTION. I UNDERSTAND THAT THEY COULD DELIVE IT TO ME AND AN ACCIDENT COULD OCCUR.
