Terms of Use

These are the basic rules between Car and Problems (the "Site") and you. By using the Site you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the Site.

1. Purpose

Car and Problems is a free reference layer over publicly available vehicle-safety data. It is not an official publication, it does not sell or repair vehicles, and it is not a substitute for professional mechanical or legal advice. Always verify with your authorized service center, legal counsel, and the primary source before acting on anything you read here.

2. Acceptable use

• You will not hit the Site with automated clients at abusive frequencies (e.g. over 1 page/second or 30 API calls/minute). Contact us if you need bulk data — we provide a permissioned dump.
• You will not scrape editorial content for resale. Short quotations with attribution are always permitted.
• You will not violate third-party legal rights (trademark, copyright, privacy), inject harmful code, or submit discriminatory/illegal content.

3. Intellectual property

Original prose, imagery, code, and layout on the Site belong to Car and Problems. Raw data derived from official sources is public; we claim no intellectual property over it. You may quote editorial text with attribution, but may not republish it in full. Fair-use excerpts with a link back are always welcome.

4. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Source datasets are updated continuously and our sync has some lag. You rely on information at your own risk.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Car and Problems and its operators are not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Site.

6. DMCA / takedown

Send copyright or trademark claims to [email protected] with:

• Your name and contact information
• Description of the work you own
• URL of the allegedly infringing content
• A signed good-faith statement that you have authority to act

We review valid notices within 10 business days.

7. Third-party links

The Site links to external sites. Car and Problems is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those destinations.

8. Advertising

The Site may display ads from third-party networks such as Google AdSense. These ads are clearly separated from editorial content and imply no endorsement. See the Privacy Notice for cookie details.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will update the effective date and be posted as a homepage notice. Continued use of the Site after the update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul.
