SummaryMODULE Steering Control Before replacing the steering column control module (SCCM) due to front or rear windshield wiper operation / blindspot inop / lane assistant inop/ DTC B178F-15 active, please follow these steps: 1.- Refer to TSB-08-219-24 MP - Rear Windshield Wipers Operate Continuously and TSB 08-136-24 REV. A - Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Module Update. 2.- Verify if failure is still present (review wipers, turn signal, blindspot and lane assistant status) and if DTCs still active. 3.- If failure still present, make sure all the switches' and airbag's harness are properly connected and there is no corrosion, disconnect the switches & reconnect them, and reverify the issue. 4.- Read at the BCM diagnosis session if BCM is receiving information from SCCM. Through diagnosis review if activation from wipers is requested, if turn signal, blindspot and lane assistant work. 5.- Do a hard reset of battery to BCM and evaluate if any DTC is set. Retest if failure still present. If there are no DTC's, physical defects, wipers inop, nor turn signal inop, then SCCM does not need to be replaced.
