SummaryThis article supersedes TSBs 24-2100 and 24-2070 to add 2023 F-150 vehicles, update the TSB Issue statement and the TSB Service Procedure. Some 2021-2023 F-150, 2022-2023 Expedition/Navigator/Mustang and 2020-2023 Transit/Explorer/Aviator vehicles equipped with a 10R80/10R80MHT transmission may exhibit a harsh/delayed engagement and/or harsh/delayed shift, an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P0751, P0752, P0756, P0757, P0761, P0762, P0766, P0767, P0771, P0772, P2700, P2701, P2702, P2703, P2704, P2705, P2707, P2708, P0729, P0731, P0732, P0733, P0734, P0735, P0736, P076F, P07D9, P07F6 and/or P07F7 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) or transmission control module (TCM). This may be due to the software in the powertrain control module (PCM) or transmission control module (TCM), the transmission solenoid ID strategy, sticking valves in the main control valve body and/or axial movement of the CDF clutch cylinder (7H351) sleeve. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to identify and correct the condition.

SummarySome vehicles equipped with SYNC4 may exhibit one or more of the following symptoms after all currently available accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software updates have been performed. - General system performance, stability, and intermittent system reboots. - Intermittent Wireless CarPlay or Android Auto function. - Phone related concerns with intermittent No Audio or Static. - Navigation/global positioning system (GPS) related concerns through CarPlay and Android Auto. - Alexa function consistency and stability. These symptoms may be due to the software in the APIM. Replacing the APIM will not resolve these symptoms for the customer. Before returning the vehicle to the customer, review the procedures within Workshop Manual, Section 415-00 and ensure the latest APIM software is installed. Refer to General Service Bulletin (GSB) 23-7146 for help determining the latest available level of software. IMPORTANT: some module software updates will only display as available on Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) after prerequisite modules are updated. This may require the technician to update certain modules multiple times during the service visit, before the latest APIM software is accessible in FDRS. If symptoms continue after latest APIM software has been installed, inform customers that Ford is working on additional software enhancements which are expected to be delivered over-the-air (OTA) by Q4 2024 on F-150, F-150 Lightning, Mustang Mach-E, Mustang, Escape, Corsair, Expedition, Navigator, Bronco, Mustang, and 2023-2024 F-Super Duty. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicle's settings. For all other vehicles with SYNC4, schedule a service visit for customers in October 2024, when the updated APIM software is expected to be available to dealers. Monitor OASIS for additional information.

The supercharger drive assembly KR3Z-6J022-B is now available as a lower level service part, separate from the supercharger assembly. Refer to the parts catalog and Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-12 for installation.

SummaryAll accessory stick-on keyless entry keypads come with a wallet card containing the master code. If the accessory keypad was factory installed, this card will be placed in the glove box and should be handed to the vehicles owner during initial delivery. Unlike the integrated (wired) factory keypad, the accessory keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. Dealer Key Code access is granted through the Dealer Program Enrollment System (DPES); dealership management can authorize users. The authorized user must go to FMCDealer.com > Parts and Service > Parts Product Line Information > Keys/Entry Devices > Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the master code for the accessory keypad.

SummarySome 2024 Mustang vehicles equipped with a mid-series instrument panel cluster display screen (minor feature code HCAAT) may exhibit a crack on the lower left-hand corner of the IPC display screen. To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS) website. This crack will be internal and cannot be felt. If the crack cannot be felt, this is a warrantable condition and the IPC display screen must be replaced. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 413-01. For claiming, use causal part 10D885 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. Vehicles built on or before 14-Nov-2023 are not equipped with auto start-stop and the Workshop Manual (WSM) is in the process of being updated with this information.

SummarySome 2020-2023 Mustang vehicles may exhibit a configuration failure when trying to program a BCM for field service action (FSA) 23C35. This may be due to the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) software level. To correct this condition, make sure the IDS software is at R130.04 or newer when configuring the BCM. If the state of charge (SOC) is less than 50%, charge the battery by attaching the battery charger's negative clamp to the engine or chassis ground and not the negative battery terminal. SummarySome 2023-2024 Escape/Corsair vehicles equipped with a 1.5L or 2.0L EcoBoost engine, 2024 Mustang vehicles equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine, and 2024 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit an engine misfire condition with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P0301, P0302, P0303 and/or P0304 set in the powertrain control module (PCM). If the codes are stored in the PCM, remove and inspect the condition of all the spark plugs. If any spark plugs appear to be damaged, use a borescope to inspect the condition of the cylinder walls. If the cylinder walls are scored/scraped/damaged, replace the long block engine assembly (6006) to resolve this condition. If the cylinder walls are not scored/scraped/damaged, replace the damaged spark plug(s) and advise the customer that engineering is investigating this issue. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.
