I am formally reporting a serious safety incident involving the original factory-supplied tire jack provided with our 2024 Ford Expedition Limited. Vehicle: 2024 Ford Expedition Limited VIN: [XXX] Incident Date: [XXX] Location: [XXX]. While attempting to change a tire, my husband, [XXX], experienced a sudden loss of stability when the factory-supplied jack slipped, causing the vehicle to fall and trapping him underneath. My husband underwent total knee replacement surgery approximately two and a half months ago. The Expedition came down onto his surgically repaired leg, potentially causing additional injury. Even more concerning, the Ford-provided jack slipped three times during this incident. The first occurrence happened when my husband was attempting to remove the tire. As the tire came off the jack slipped and caught his leg underneath the vehicle. He caught it and tried to put the jack back in place to get his leg out, but it slipped again. On the third attempt, he was finally able to remove his right leg, which had been pinned underneath the whole time. Note: He followed the instructions and placed the jack where specified. We have video evidence showing the positioning of a tire underneath the Expedition. That tire appears to have prevented the full weight of the vehicle from coming down on his leg. Without that protection, this incident could have resulted in catastrophic injury or death. We have discovered that there are multiple safety recalls involving the 2024 Expedition, although we have not confirmed an existing recall specifically involving the original factory jack. Given the seriousness of this incident, we formally request: An immediate investigation of the factory-supplied jack and its potential failure. Identification of the original jack's manufacturer, supplier, part number, design specifications, and rated capacity. On [XXX] I was grabbing my wallet from the center console of the vehicle and the peeling chrome piece tore my left ring finger open. It was a flap tear that required an urgent care visit to fix/stop the bleeding. They applied derma bond and other bandaging to help stop bleeding and heal the wound - I also had to go back into urgent care on [XXX] to re-treat the wound after the initial bandaging fell off. My local dealer (Greiner) inspected the vehicle on [XXX] and provided a repair order to prove that the chrome trim piece was indeed peeling and sharp and subject to the recall. I contacted ford's customer service today, [XXX], to request reimbursement of medical expenses, some kind of interim fix for the dangerous trim piece, and a potential extension of goodwill via providing a free extended warranty. They provided none of the above and told me I would have to wait until some kind of fix was issued for the peeling trim piece before Ford can reimburse any of my medical expenses or do anything else for me. She said this wouldn't be until likely some time first quarter of next year and advised that I hold off on submitting anything to them until then as there's nothing they can do until a remedy is issued. I told her I'm not asking for a recall fix - I'm asking for reimbursement for medical expenses and some kind of interim fix or a loaner vehicle if possible - all under their injury claims processing rather than recall processing. She offered none of the above. After pushing - the agent ([XXX] was her name and she was reached at 1-800-392-3673) opened case #[XXX] to at least log my call/their refusal to do anything. I'm logging this complain to note that Ford refused to offer any kind of interim fix nor any kind of reimbursement for the medical expenses I incurred due to my injury sustained from their faulty center console. While leaving a parking lot the vehicle was pulling out a parking spot in reverse, as the vehicle changed from reverse to drive, teh vehicle randomly started accelerating without cause, the gas pedal was not initiated and there was no pedal influence at all. The car had an internal computer issue and started to sort through the cruise control settings, adapative cruise control settings, and just started accelerating out of nowhere without being told to do so. The car was able to come to a complete stop after the driver reacted quickly;y and swiftly, scaring the passenger of the vehicle which was his wife, and his (2) daughters one of which is an infant and the other a toddler. This was a scary moment for the entire family as the vehicle had zero control. We have reported the incident to the proper channels at Ford and have taken the vehicle in to have it diagnosed and nothing has been done to correct the problem; in fact they haven’t even found a problem. The car has done this on multiple occasions so now we dont park the vehicle in parking garages, car parking lots in close proximity to other vehicles, and we do not pull nose in to parking spots at all in the event that the car accelerates without cause. The car is also having a multitude of transmission issues from skipping to dropping out to locking up. The car has been taken in on multiple occasions just to be told they didn’t find any issues. Ultimately we believe the car has a software issue as we had another ford vehicle, a ford F250 also a 2024 that had computer issues and was purchased back by ford. This however is my wife’s vehicle and she needs the car for our kids sports and entertainment purposes so we dont have the luxury of dropping the vehicle off to be bought back and wait a long duration of time for the lemon law process to take place. This car has been nothing but a safety issue and a headache since it was purchased and I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS MODEL SHOULD BE ON THE ROAD WITH OTHER FAMILIES.
As I drove down the road my sunroof exploded, glass flew everywhere and scratched the top of vehicle

Hood striker fasteners failed allowing hood to separate from striker at highway speed resulting in hood flying open, striking and damaging windshield and blocking view of driver. Photos from incident scene and subsequent dealer inspection agree on fastener failure as the striker was found fully latched into the retainers. Fortunately, driver was in an outer lane and able to navigate to shoulder and stop vehicle without further damage.
