I'm recalling an incident I reported last year. GM refused to honor the service bulletin, and Palmen Buick GMC Cadillac in Kenosha, WI refused to work with Michelin. At 30,000 miles, I now hydroplane, and when I had my car serviced a few weeks before my warranty was set to expire, the dealership again refused to honor the prorate chart for the tires, and again tried to just sell me new ones. I provided a picture of one of the tires now, and you can clearly see how they have deteriorated. I IMPLORE YOU TO MAKE A FULL RECALL. GM IS CLEARLY AVOIDING THIS ISSUE, AND THEIR DEALERSHIPS WILL NOT WORK WITH MICHELIN TO CORRECT IT. Below is the original complaint. Tires are measuring low tread (4/32in) under 27,000. At under 25,000 miles on 6/17/2022, my vehicle experienced a blowout at low speed (approx 20mph), minutes after it had been parked. No pressure sensors were alarming until the blowout occurred. I have a case with Michelin, but the dealership won't contact them. I have a case with GM, but they will not honor the existing service bulletin [XXX] for ANY of the tires, stating it does not appear under my VIN. I'm fortunate this event occurred at low speed, but given the quality of these tires, I'm sure others have not been so lucky. I believe this to be a safety issue, not just a manufacturer defect. Purchased new in March 2023 -Repair Safety Restraint System failed (alert signal) failed late June 2023. Inspected at the Dealer/mechanic on July 11 2023, and it was determined the Safety Restraint System panel was defective. Part ordered late June early July 2023 (estimate). Part was backordered and not available for installation August 31 2023. Service department failed to notify me that the part was in. I had to call them. Appointment was set for Replacement part to be installed on September 6 2023. In the meantime a new alert appeared (Check engine light). I notified the service department of the new issue (check engine ) and the need for them to inspect that. The vehicle was due for an oil change and rotation as well. Service department determined that the engine failure resulting in the (check engine light) was due to a defective fuel pump/injection system. Part ordered and an appointment was set. Replacement part was installed on September 12 2023. Literally three days later, after the fuel pump/injection was replaced, another alert appeared (check engine light). September 15, 2023. This particular vehicle has major issues and I am contacting the dealer for a complete buy back and/or replacement vehicle. My safety and the safety of my passengers was at risk from the first minute the restraint system failure signaled. The part was backordered for a long while. I had no other form of transportation. The dealership did not offer a loaner vehicle or to pay for a rental car, nothing. In fact they did not seem concerned at all. Not concerned enough for the service department to place follow up phone calls to me with status updates over the many weeks I waited for the part to arrive. The car obviously has electrical and fuel injection issues straight from the manufacturing floor (which according to reports Buick is aware of). Ref. Edmunds and NHTSA reports. There are a host of reasons why my safety was at risk during the few mo of ownership.

HVAC CASE DOOR MELTED. GM case #9-10542006159. Repaired 2 years ago under warranty and GM knew there was a problem with the design. The air distribution system is placed to close to the heating coils and it keeps melting. It has failed again and GM will not do anything about it and keeps saying its out of warranty. They did not repair the problem correctly when it was in warranty. They tell me there is not a fix for it and there has not been a recall. I'm afraid the car will catch on fire

I put the car into park and I exited the vehicle because I forgot to push the stop button. So I reached accross the driver's seat and push the stop button. When I did this the car began to roll back as if it was in neutral. I did not touch the shift knob. It shifted into neutral on its on. The front down was open at the time. The car should not have moved if the front door was open. The car ended up rolling down a small hill and ran over me.

At the time I purchased this vehicle there was a shortage of chips to warn of items in the path while backing up. This is a safety feature and should be updated. Nine months is long enough to wait for promises to be acted on!

Car shut off in middle of the highway. Couldn’t get it to start. Fortunately there was light traffic. Couldn’t get the car in neutral to push on side of road. Had it towed to a shop and it was a faulty fuel pump module. Manufacturer won’t honor warranty.

The collision warning system allows you to choose whether you want beeps or just seat vibration. I always chose beeps. But the vehicle randomly switches out of this and goes to seat vibration without me doing anything. This has happened numerous times, and the first time contributed to me, backing into another vehicle. I asked, my service department to check it and of course nothing showed up because it happens randomly. Just yesterday as I was pulling into my garage I was waiting for it to beep and nothing. So I put it in park and checked the vehicle settings, and once again, it was not on beeps, although I had never taken it off. I’m disgusted with the safety feature that is not working.

I had the brake fail twice in the past 2 months while driving the vehicle and was not able to stop it. I kept pushing on the break pedal but vehicle wouldn't slow down. I was only able to stop the vehicle by shifting the gear to neutral and letting the car come to stop on its own. While driving along, multiple signs such as malfunction indicator light, brake light, ABS light, traction control, electronic stability control, Forward collision system failure etc lit up on the dashboard and I could no longer slow the vehicle down using the brake pedal. The image of the dashboard with all the lit up signs is attached for your reference. Once the vehicle came to stop, I turned it off and waited to catch my breath. When I turned the vehicle back on, most lights were off but malfunction indicator light was stayed on. However, brake started working. I narrowly avoided hitting a car in front of me on the highway because I couldn't slow down the vehicle. I would have hit the vehicle in front of me if it had slowed down. It put my life along with of those around me on the freeway in danger and it could have turned out a lot worse. I am taking the vehicle to the dealership tomorrow morning. Prior to the brake fail, there were no warning lights, messages, or other symptoms of the problem. The warning lights only came on while I was driving and the brake was no longer working.

This is the second time its happened but today while I was already out my driver side seat belt will not release. No matter what I do, the seat belt will not release. Therefore I had to drive home without a seat belt, which is scary. This same exact thing happened before and I had it fixed at the dealership. I've not had any accidents or anything that would affect the seat belt.

The contact owns a 2017 Buick Envision. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal to stop the vehicle, the brake pedal extended to the floorboard. The vehicle failed to immediately stop, causing the braking distance to be extended. Upon inspection, there was brake fluid leaking from the front driver’s side wheel. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed that the front driver’s side brake hose had ruptured causing brake fluid to leak from the vehicle. The brake hose was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The contact later experienced the same failure to the front passenger’s side brake hose. The mechanic stated that the rubber hose had detached from the metal coupling. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 33,902.

On Wednesday, 06/07/2023, my 2022 Buick Envision Avenir suddenly displayed a large number of error codes on the dashboard. I was able to quickly identify that the only operation of the vehicle that was impacted seemed to be the brakes as I had to exert a much larger effort to slow the vehicle than normal and it obviously took a much longer time to stop. I had the vehicle towed to Scranton Motors in Vernon CT and they have basically told me that they "can't replicate the problem" and that I should, "bring it back if it happens more consistently." As this is the brakes we are talking about, "happening more consistently " might end up in me not being able to bring it back due to a potentially fatal crash that may result from driving this vehicle for over an hour twice per day on my way to work. I have opened a case with Buick, and told the dealer that I do not feel comfortable picking up the vehicle at this point.

My vehicle's motor stopped without any warning in the middle lane of a busy freeway. I put the emergency flashers on but when I tried to restart the motor it overrode the flashers, causing a semi truck to just miss hitting me. The transmission went into Park mode and since this car is electronic shifting it would not let me put it in to neutral when the motor is not running . People stopped to help me push the car off the road but we could not get it into neutral. Very DANGEROUS situation to be stuck in a center lane on a busy freeway. ODOT and state police that stopped to help me said that they have never seen anything like this. Towed the car to a Buick-GNC dealer where they have had it for over 2 weeks now. They say that the fuel pump control module failed and they are on back order. My car has 11,200 miles on it.

I had just left the driveway at my in-laws house, which is approx. an hour and 45 minutes from my home. Within moments, randomly, the sun roof popped open, as if someone had hit a remote. It would not close, and after trying for a bit, decided to drive home and we would address it there. When I hit the open road, the roof went the rest of the way open and then about two miles from the house, I starting choking on the smell of burning plastic. I immediately pulled over on to the shoulder of a side road, turning off the car. My husband was in a vehicle behind me and came over and we were both very concerned the vehicle was going to catch on fire. He tried to pull the fuse in the panel, but when we turned the vehicle back on, there was smoke coming from the sunroof motor area, and the smell was atrocious. The inside hood liner was very warm near the rear of the vehicle with the motor. At that point, we decided to call a tow truck, because it was obvious there was an electrical short. Because the sun roof was stuck open, we had to get a car cover to protect it from the rain coming in. The dealership investigated the next day, and confirmed there was an electrical short that was throwing high-voltage power in to the sunroof. It had melted the motor and wires around it, and had we gone any further, the voltage would have caused a more significant fire. They had to do significant repairs, costing $1400, as well as some clean-up of the interior to try and ensure we weren't continuing to breathe burnt-plastic fumes.
