I was driving down [XXX] from my house. My engine light started to flash.I tried to accelerate my car barely went 10 miles an hour.I got Home 2 minutes later. There was major knocking.I had the car towed to [XXX], Hyundai, the only code that is showing up on the diagnostics, is P1326 there is an open class action lawsuit for this exact code. For the rod bearing failure, Hyundai is denying the claim, saying there's a gap in maintenance history on a car. I didn't own yet when I bought the vehicle. It passed a 190 point inspection. There's no way there was anything wrong with this vehicle.I am under fifty thousand miles , and if I was on the highway , it could've been deadly i could not accelerate. No other lights were on in the vehicle, except for the flashing engine light.I have already reported to the better business bureau and they have sent it to arbitration. I have contacted the escalation department for Hyundai. They opened up to separate cases. The agent that was assigned to me didn't even get the code from [XXX], they just denied the claim without it.I have the emails to prove that I had to give it to her. I have.\n All my maintenance history, but as you can see from the text message from XXX Hyundai, they are requesting maintenance for a car that wasn't in my possession yet. They're asking for dates from a year before I had the car, I bought it through EchoPark. I have everyone on my side including fFdelity , as I tried to go through Fidelity and they said they couldn't approve the warranty because of the class action lawsuit against Hyundai for that exact manufacturer malfunction. I have noticed that the engine oil level in my vehicle drops significantly between regular oil changes. Despite adhering to the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule, I frequently have to add a quart of oil after driving only about [800~1,000 마일] miles.I understand that this is a widely reported issue with Hyundai Owners Forum affecting 2019 models. Many experts and fellow owners have identified that this rapid oil loss is often caused by manufacturing defects, such as faulty piston rings, which can eventually lead to catastrophic engine failure. As a Hyundai owner, I am highly concerned about the safety, reliability, and decreased resale value of my vehicle. Running low on oil without warning creates a high risk of sudden engine breakdown while driving on the highway.I kindly request that Hyundai Corporate or my local authorized dealer investigate and resolve this matter. Specifically, I am asking for:An official engine inspection and a proper Oil Consumption Test.Necessary repairs or a full engine replacement under the applicable powertrain warranty at no cost to me.

The vehicle was taken to the dealership for Recall 304 (NHTSA Campaign 26V400), which was supposed to fix an instrument panel/heads-up display (HUD) communication loop crash. However, the software update merely isolated the crash so that only the HUD goes black and reboots while driving. The underlying signal drop or hardware defect is still actively occurring. The issue may appear to be a loose physical connection or faulty wiring harness, as the HUD loss may be triggered after hitting a bump or uneven road surface, though it remains intermittent. The driver's safety is compromised due to sudden, unpredictable driver distraction. Vital safety information, including vehicle speed, blind-spot monitoring alerts, and forward collision warnings, is instantly lost. The vehicle was returned to the dealership, but technicians stated they "did not find anything on their test drives (<15miles)" because the hardware dropout is intermittent. The vehicle was inspected and worked on by an authorized Hyundai dealership service center for the initial recall but they failed to diagnose the persistent post-recall failure.

Electronic display keeps rebooting while driving. Today dashboard info (speedometer, tach, gas level, etc.) totally blacked out for a 25 mile trip. Couldn't tell how the speed, how much gas left, etc. Vehicle has been serviced twice for this, most recently 6/30/2026. Software upgrade did not fix.

The rear door locks and trunk lid do not always unlock. This creates a safety concern for rear passengers because they cannot easily exit the car because door won't unlock. The dealership says issue is intermittent yet it's still happening.

I bought my car in for recalls and they performed service. I got down the road when the HUD started going out over bumps. They could not duplicate it when I bought it back after picking it up. This was yesterday 7/16/26. They have had this car for a total of 18 days not including other issues that I have bought it in for. Today I am having issues with the instrument cluster and HUD going out randomly over bumps still. This is exactly what I explained when dropping it for the repair. This is resulting in me not being able to read the instrument cluster since it displays no signal on cluster or goes completely black.

Subject: Formal Safety Complaint Regarding Steering Failure – 2017 Hyundai Tucson To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint to request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) investigate a potentially serious safety defect involving the Motor-Driven Power Steering (MDPS) system in my 2017 Hyundai Tucson. I am the second owner of this vehicle. The vehicle currently has approximately 61,000 miles and remains within Hyundai's 10-Year/100,000-Mile Powertrain Warranty period applicable to subsequent owners. Approximately two years ago, the vehicle's engine was replaced under a Hyundai safety recall. Recently, I began experiencing intermittent steering problems in which the steering wheel becomes extremely difficult to turn and appears to momentarily jam or lock while driving. This condition significantly affects vehicle control and creates a serious safety hazard, particularly during turns, lane changes, or emergency maneuvers. I brought the vehicle to Advantage Hyundai in [XXX] for diagnosis. The dealership determined that the vehicle had a Motor Position Sensor Error (Diagnostic Trouble Code C2401) within the Motor-Driven Power Steering (MDPS) system. The dealership informed me that the repair is not covered under the vehicle's warranty and declined to repair it. The dealer also submitted a request to Hyundai for goodwill assistance (Prior Authorization No. XXX), but Hyundai denied that request. I subsequently contacted Hyundai National Consumer Affairs (Case No. XXX) seeking assistance. Unfortunately, Hyundai also denied my request despite the relatively low mileage and the serious safety implications of the steering malfunction. My concern extends beyond the cost of repair. A malfunction in the electronic power steering system that causes steering to bind, jam, or become difficult to control presents a significant risk of a crash, injury, or loss of life. Steering is one of the most critical safety INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C.

On XXX, while approaching a stop sign, the vehicle did not engage the brakes as expected. I had to press the brake pedal multiple times, and the vehicle jerked several times before it came to a stop. Given that a brake failure of this kind poses an immediate risk to my safety and the safety of others on the road, I had the vehicle towed in for service right away. I took the vehicle to Courtesy Hyundai of Tampa (3810 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa, FL 33614) on Monday, XXX (Repair Order #XXX). Service Advisor Dominick DeLeva documented the complaint and had the vehicle test driven. The dealership's notes state that the issue could not be duplicated, no fault codes were present, and the brake fluid level was correct. A multi-point inspection was also completed. The vehicle was returned to me on July 14, 2026, with no repairs made and no explanation for the braking irregularity I experienced. I have had nothing but trouble with software issues since the very first recall (software related) on my vehicle, just a few months after I purchased it. I have had a very difficult time having Hyundai address these issues, and recently opened my third case with Hyundai. The issue: On 6/24/26 Peddar Hyundai conducted the software update for the recall regarding the front collision system. Later in the day on 6/24/26 and in the days following, whenever I turned on the car, Googlemaps would automatically pop up on the infotainment screen, the car’s navigation voice (not the googleMaps voice) would instruct me to turn right or left, etc. throughout the drive, despite no route being set. I have a video of this occurring. MOST CONCERNING: 6/25/26 I was pulling out of a parking lot, with no other cars or obstacles in my path, going slowly, and the automatic braking system ground the car to a stop. There was no warning on the dash. It took a few seconds before the car would allow me to accelerate. This is the very problem the software update was supposed to fix. 7/2/26 I was using GoogleMaps navigation at night and as I was driving, the infotainment system went blank and I had no navigation. After a minute or so the map came back on, but it was just spinning in circles and couldn’t right itself. Additional issues: the infotainment system randomly keeps popping up the question, asking if I want to open Google Maps. Sometimes when using the parking camera, an informational window keeps popping up stating “Press the button to display the camera view, or press and hold to activate the parking assist system”. I use this function every day, but for some reason, at times it keeps trying to teach me how to use it. (These types of glitches have happened before after software updates.) 6/26/26 I opened a case with Hyundai. Case number 42790134. I have yet to hear from them. I've called several times and they won't return my call or address this safety issue.

The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving, after an hour, the vehicle was shaking and shuddering abnormally and the vehicle lost motive power. The driver was unable to maintain a steady speed while driving the vehicle. The vehicle was making an abnormal sound while driving at 60 MPH, and the vehicle was struggling to accelerate. There were no warning lights illuminated. The blue link indicated that the failure was associated with DTC: P03600. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who was unable to retrieve a diagnostic trouble code. The vehicle was diagnosed as needing the fluid, tires, and brakes to be changed, and the low jack to be removed. The vehicle was not repaired. Another local dealer, Napleton Hyundai (4333 W Ogden Ave, Aurora, IL 60504) was contacted, but there was no response. The manufacturer was contacted, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000.

- #11750434July 14, 2026SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
My vehicle is subject to the Hyundai Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) safety recall (NHTSA Campaign 26V316 / Hyundai Recall 302). The front camera software logic is overly sensitive, creating an imminent danger of unexpected, severe, and sudden automatic braking at high speeds. This manufacturing defect poses a catastrophic safety hazard to myself, my family, and other motorists on the highway. I consider the vehicle completely unroadworthy and unsafe to drive. Despite the severe risk to human life, Hyundai Motor Finance is refusing to allow a fee-waived early lease termination, attempting to financially penalize me for refusing to drive an inherently dangerous vehicle that they manufactured. I am filing this complaint to document the severe hazard of the defect and Hyundai's failure to provide a safe, penalty-free resolution for a life-threatening vehicle glitch
