I picked up my F-150 Powerboost from the Ford dealership after getting and oil change. Recorded mileage was 100,385 (just 385 miles out of the 100,000 EV warranty. Just 2 hours after getting it back the check engine light came on for P0B24 for hybrid battery failure. The Ford dealership diagnosed the issue and confirmed the entire hybrid battery has to be replaced. I requested Goodwill assistance from Ford being that it was <500 miles out of warranty. Ford denied the request immediately. The Ford service department wrote them an email with official confirmation of the issue and the timing of the issue starting. Ford denied their request for Goodwill assistance/financial help within 20 minutes of the request. The repair is $5,000+ out of pocket.

Due to cracking in the body seam towards the roof on the A-pillar on the drivers side. During moderate to heavy rain water enters the cab of the truck and soaks the floorboard and thus soaks electrical components underneath said floor board. Ford motor company refuses to fix it under warranty and I fear it could cause issues with my windshield or electric components in the pillar or floorboard and cause a wreck or in jeopardize my safety in other manners. If you look online it has been documented multiple times and yet ford still refuses to fix it under warranty. I discovered the issue after a rain storm last week when I opened my door to approximately a 3 inch puddle in my floor board, and the vehicle is just outside of fords “factory warranty” which when I talked to ford customer service they said I would be out of pocket on it still as they wouldn’t cover it.

I experienced two wet-road skidding incidents in my 2022 Ford F-150 hybrid. In the first, I was stopped at a light before turning across a three-lane roadway. When I began turning after the light changed, the truck skidded about two lanes over and I lost control. After it appeared to level out, I gently tried to keep it in my lane. I do not know whether traction or stability control was off or whether I may have pressed a control button. The following Friday, after stopping at a red light, the truck began to skid when I released the brake. I was not flooring the accelerator. I reported the incidents to Ford of Clermont. Its [XXX] service record documents my report that the rear end skidded side to side toward another lane and that traction control seemed not to work. Ford’s [XXX] response attributed the wet-traction concern to aggressive mud-and-snow tires and reported rubbing at the steering stops. Its [XXX] invoice recommended replacing four tires and performing an alignment, but states neither was performed. Two independent repair facilities later identified transmission problems. I was told by personnel at the shops that the transmission concern could explain the skidding or loss of control. Universal Tire and Auto’s [XXX] record documents a transmission diagnostic and lists transmission removal and replacement as declined, not performed. Ricky G’s Transmission Repair’s [XXX] document records chattering in reverse, no codes at that time, a diagnostic charge, and an estimated repair. These documents record transmission findings and atributed that the transmission caused the wet-road incidents. The exact cause remains to be established. I found an NHTSA investigation report concerning unexpected transmission downshifts and rear-wheel lockup in certain 2015–2017 F-150s with a 6R80 transmission. My vehicle is a 2022 hybrid, and I do not know whether that investigation is relevant to my vehicle. I ask NHTSA to consider INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6

I am reporting a concern about the truck’s apparent fuel consumption and hybrid-system operation. I purchased the used 2022 Ford F-150 on [XXX], with 39,647 miles. The truck is identified in the independent repair-facility records as a 3.5-liter full hybrid electric-gas vehicle. I did not modify the engine, hybrid system, transmission, fuel system, tires, lift, wheels, suspension, or other relevant vehicle components after purchase. During my ownership, I perceived that the truck used substantially more fuel than expected. I reported to Ford of Clermont service adviser Alberto Caro that the electric-drive system appeared to engage constantly and that a 36-gallon fuel tank appeared to be used for a round trip to and from Ocala. I compared this experience with my prior Chevrolet, which I reported used approximately one-quarter of a tank for a similar trip. I understand that a comparison with a different vehicle does not, by itself, establish a defect, and that hybrid operation may involve frequent electric-motor engagement. My concern is the truck’s actual fuel consumption and whether the engine, hybrid system, transmission, fuel system, sensors, or related controls are operating properly. Ford personnel reportedly responded that I could not compare the Ford with another vehicle and that the hybrid system engages electric drive frequently. I have not received a written technical explanation, fuel-economy test, hybrid-system diagnostic report, or other documentation establishing whether the truck’s fuel consumption is within specification. Ford’s written September 2 response stated that the truck’s aggressive mud-and-snow tires could affect fuel economy and smooth driving. That statement does not resolve whether the truck’s actual fuel consumption is normal for this vehicle or whether the engine, hybrid system, transmission, fuel system, sensors, or control systems require testing. The truck also had an existing lift, tires, wheels, and suspension configurat INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORM

I am reporting a concern about the engine-coolant condition in my 2022 Ford F-150 hybrid. During a September 1, 2026 inspection at Ford of Clermont, dealership personnel reportedly showed or described the coolant as black-brown or discolored and recommended coolant replacement. I recall the coolant appearing abnormal, but I have not received a written coolant test, laboratory analysis, technician diagnosis, or explanation establishing why it looked that way. I purchased the truck on July 18, 2026, with 39,647 miles. I did not modify the cooling system, engine, transmission, hybrid system, or related components after purchase. I have requested the September inspection findings, coolant test results, the recommended service and estimate, and records concerning the reported July 3 oil change and 176-point inspection. I have not received a complete written explanation reconciling the reported July service with the later coolant observation. I am concerned that the coolant’s reported appearance could indicate a cooling-system or powertrain problem requiring diagnosis. I do not know the cause. I have not established that coolant and transmission fluids mixed, that a heat exchanger failed, or that the coolant condition caused transmission damage. Separately, two independent repair shops identified transmission concerns. The September 18, 2026 Ricky G’s Transmission Repair document reports transmission chattering in reverse and gives an estimated repair total. Universal Tire and Auto’s September 11 record documents a transmission diagnostic and lists transmission removal and replacement as declined, not performed. Those records do not state that the coolant caused the transmission condition or that either condition caused the wet-road skidding incidents. I report these findings as separate powertrain concerns and ask NHTSA to consider whether a coordinated inspection is warranted. I also reported two wet-road skidding incidents to Ford of Clermont. I do not know whether

URGENT SAFETY COMPLAINT – 2024 FORD F-150 TREMOR Since May 2026, my 2024 Ford F-150 Tremor has repeatedly experienced a dangerous transmission gear-shifting malfunction. Without warning, the gear selector locks, preventing the vehicle from engaging Drive, Reverse, or Park, leaving it immobilized. This has occurred in parking garages, blocking entrances and exits, and on interstate highways after stopping in traffic. The vehicle can become stranded in active traffic with no reliable way to move it to safety. This creates an extreme collision risk, potentially resulting in serious injuries or fatalities involving myself, my family, and other motorists. This is not an isolated concern. Ford issued Technical Service Bulletin 25-2276 addressing gear shift module failures in 2021–2025 F-150 trucks, including inability to shift into Park or out of gear. NHTSA complaints 11745086 and 11751717 describe similar failures in 2024 F-150 vehicles. Despite the recurring safety hazard, Ford has refused to repair my vehicle without charging me, citing expiration of the 3-year/36,000-mile warranty due to mileage. A potentially life-threatening safety defect should not be dismissed solely because the vehicle exceeds its warranty mileage. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate these recurring failures, determine whether a broader safety defect exists, and evaluate whether a safety recall and manufacturer-funded repairs are warranted. I fear that continued operation could result in a preventable fatal accident. Immediate investigation is necessary to protect vehicle owners, passengers, and the public.

The contact owns a 2025 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 15 MPH, the trailer hitch connection fault and blind spot fault messages were displayed. The contact and wife then became aware of a smoky odor, followed by smoke coming from the instrument panel. The vehicle caught on fire at the steering wheel and instrument panel. The contact and a neighbor extinguished the fire using a water hose and a fire extinguisher. A fire report was filed. The vehicle was towed by the insurance company to a storage facility, where it was inspected by the insurance company. The vehicle was not repaired, and the contact was informed that the vehicle would be declared a total loss. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure by telephone. The approximate failure mileage was 24,000.

The VVT Cam Phasers had a " consumer satisfaction program" that didnt include my VIN but included the year which was 2017-2021 3.5 ECOBOOST engine that mine has. The program has now expired and my truck has this exact issue. Not fixing the issue can cause engine failure. My truck has 47k miles on it. I called Ford back in April 2026 to file a compliant and nothing happened. I took my truck to Germain Ford in Beavercreek, Ohio to get a diagnostic done [XXX] and they said it was the VVT cam phasers. I called Ford 10/7/2026 again about the issue and they said my VIN wasn't included and there was nothing they could do. This is absolutely absurd they are ignoring an on going issue and they refuse to do anything about this.I will continue to fight until something is done. This repair is costing me $4400. This is where you can help. Please make them do the right thing and reimburse me and I'm sure so many others their money. My 2016 Ford F-150 experienced an unexpected downshift into second gear at approximately 45 mph. I also experienced warning lights and an occasion when the truck would not move in Drive until I shifted again. The dealership documented P0705 and P0706 before performing a PCM software update. I retained the repair order showing those codes. After the update, the truck registered P0720. The dealership diagnosed an output speed sensor circuit fault and recommended replacing the molded leadframe for approximately $2,000. I was told replacement would not be covered unless specified transmission range sensor codes returned after the update. I am concerned that a physical defect remains in the leadframe assembly despite the software update. I request review of the safety issue, the effectiveness of the recall remedy, and Ford’s handling of my documented diagnostic history. I cannot establish whether the original range sensor faults and subsequent speed sensor fault share the same cause.

Truck has 33,000 miles on it. Transmission finds numerous neutral gears while trying to go forward. Sometimes bangs into gear and shock loads the drivetrain. Other times it will start to accelerate then stop accelerating while trying to get up to road speed. Trans has been serviced, fluid and filter at 30,000 miles. Cdf drum failure. Would love to see Ford stand behind this unit.

My truck has had repeated transmission issues, and has been "addressed" by two separate recalls (24S37 and 26S45). However, I am still having issues. I believe that "24S37 Supplement #1" specifically covers the issues I am having, yet Ford still continues to disregard my request. Tis is a major safety issue. It is my son's truck, and I am driving it now since I don't want anything to happen to him.

The vehicle is experiencing an immediate, uncorrected mechanical steering safety defect where the internal steering geometry physically slips out of specification while driving at highway speeds. During a comprehensive diagnostic tear-down by an authorized manufacturer technician at Porter Ford on September 24–30, 2026 (RO #56117630), a structural component hardware failure was verified and documented in writing. The master technician explicitly noted that the 'steer head alignment was slipping out of spec' and that the root cause was a defective 'worm gear stake causing steer head slip.' Despite three consecutive dealership service alignment attempts, the internal steering mechanism continues to slip while the vehicle is in motion. This causes the vehicle to tracking-drift unpredictably on the highway and alters the steering wheel center position, creating an immediate loss-of-control crash hazard. The manufacturer has been unable to correct this structural failure

In mid-September 2026, I had safety recall 26S28 (NHTSA 26V-237) performed on my 2016 Ford F-150 at Corwin Ford Reno in Reno, NV. The recall remedy was a powertrain control module software update intended to prevent unexpected transmission downshifts. Before the recall repair, the vehicle had no drivability problems of any kind. About three days after the recall repair, the truck began repeatedly losing acceleration while driving at highway speed. The vehicle would stop responding to the accelerator, and the wrench warning light came on in the instrument cluster. This happened on multiple occasions over several days. Losing acceleration in highway traffic creates a serious risk of a rear-end collision. This is the same type of loss-of-control hazard the recall was meant to address, and the condition appeared only after the recall software was installed. I contacted the dealer right away to report the safety problem. Over two days I called at least six times and left multiple messages that were not returned. When I reached the service department, they would not inspect the vehicle until the following week, and a service manager offered the same delay. I also contacted Ford customer service and received no help. The vehicle has been at the dealer since September 30, 2026. As of October 7, 2026, there is still no diagnosis or repair. I believe the recall 26S28 remedy either failed to correct the defect or introduced a new powertrain fault that causes loss of motive power at speed. I am asking NHTSA to note this complaint in connection with recall 26V-237 and investigation EA26001, and to evaluate whether the remedy is adequate.

- #11769845October 8, 2026STRUCTURE:BODY, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
I am reporting a potential safety defect involving the hood latch sensor or electrical system on my 2017 Ford F-150, currently at 151,895 miles. On three occasions (10/3/26, 10/4/26, and 10/7/26), the "Hood Ajar" warning appeared while driving, accompanied by an audible chime, although the hood appeared securely closed. The message remains displayed until I press OK on the steering wheel. 10/3/26: The warning activated while driving. I safely pulled over, released the hood latch, inspected the hood, and closed it again. The hood had appeared properly secured. 10/4/26: The warning activated while I was descending a steep hill with no shoulder or safe place to stop. Concerned the hood could open and obstruct my windshield, I had to continue driving until reaching the bottom of the hill and finding a turnoff. Upon inspection, the hood was completely closed. 10/7/26: The warning activated again. Because the previous two inspections showed the hood was closed, I dismissed the warning without stopping. This demonstrates how repeated false warnings can cause drivers to disregard a potentially legitimate safety alert. The security alarm also intermittently activates while parked, sounding the horn and flashing the lights without an apparent cause. These malfunctions create safety concerns, including driver distraction, potentially dangerous roadside stops, and the risk that drivers may ignore a legitimate warning about an unsecured hood. My experience descending a steep hill without a safe stopping location demonstrates the hazard. The exact cause is unknown. A defective hood latch sensor, switch, or wiring is suspected. No dealership or mechanic has inspected the vehicle. The components remain installed and are available for inspection. I request that NHTSA investigate whether this is a recurring safety-related defect affecting Ford F-150 vehicles and whether corrective action or a recall is warranted.

Ford sent me a recall letter stating there was a remedy for my truck. I took the truck to a ford service center and was informed that the remedy they had in place to fix the recall does not resolve the problem. They also informed me that they have no idea when the new remedy will be out to fix my truck. Seeing that there is no remedy or any timeline of when I’m getting my truck back I called ford customer support to ask for a loan vehicle. They told me they was unable to give me one. Seeing that it is a transmission problem and even having in the letter it increases the risk of an accident. I feel unsafe to drive the truck in my 60 mile commute to work or in general
