The passenger Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) has stopped working on my 2021 Ford F-150. This condition potentially puts myself and others at risk because DRL's are a well-known safety feature to increase frontal visibility of vehicles while driving, especially during changing daylight conditions such as going under a bridge or tree-covered roadways. There were no symptoms of impending failure other than many complaints from owners of similar vehicles

Mandatory recall 24E12 reprogrammed the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to stricter emissions monitoring standards. This caused the Check Engine light to appear within 24hrs showing code P0430. There were NO codes showing and the Check Engine light was not on before the recall was performed. Ford is denying responsibility and charging me $2,500+ out of pocket to replace the converter. I feel like they a FORCING me to purchase parts because if I don't, my vehicle wont pass emissions tests and is un-drivable (legally). Ford case#: CXH0966043220H4B3 Apparently, this has happened to THOUSANDS of F150 owners and needs to be addressed ASAP!!!!!

Trace water accumulation routing from clogged/faulty drain plug to corroded DCN wiring connector during rainfall. Due to manufacturing design of '23 Ford F150 model windshield drain cowls, minor debris allowed for water to backflow into the Data Communication Network (DCN) wiring harness and Body Control Module (BCM) connectors, interior electrical components, and interior of the cab wetting the upholstery and flooring within the front passenger side of truck. Driver experienced electrical black outs within the dash and center screens, lighting failures, and multiple system alert misfires while driving the vehicle. Alerts consistently glitching on the dash screen included: Service Vehicle Soon, Pre-Collision Assist Not Available, Service Advance Trac, Rear Belt Monitor Fault Service Required. The issues were reported to Ford, whose representatives noted the history behind water damages associated with cowl/drain designs, but confirmed the issue has not been formalized for recall. This known issue presents buyers with financial and physical safety risks, known by Ford, and places full responsibility for poor engineering on new owners. The vehicle is currently at the dealership for repairs and parts replacement. All at the owners expense.

I am the owner of a Ford F-150 Raptor R, a vehicle that Ford specifically engineered to require 5W-50 full synthetic motor oil. Despite following Ford's recommended maintenance schedule, I have been informed by multiple dealerships that they cannot perform a routine oil change because Ford is not supplying sufficient quantities of the required oil. What I find unacceptable is not simply the temporary shortage itself, but Ford's apparent lack of urgency in addressing the problem and the complete absence of a customer solution. I purchased a premium vehicle with the expectation that Ford would be able to support and maintain its own product. Instead, I am being told there is "nothing that can be done" while the vehicle continues to accumulate mileage. This puts owners in an impossible position. If I continue driving the truck, I risk exceeding the recommended service interval and potentially jeopardizing warranty coverage or engine longevity. If I stop driving it, Ford has effectively rendered an expensive vehicle unusable through its inability to provide a basic maintenance requirement. When I contact Ford Customer Service and request escalation to a supervisor, I am repeatedly told that all available resources have been exhausted. However, offering no remedy, no alternative service plan, no approved substitute oil, no reimbursement process, and no timeline for resolution cannot reasonably be considered a remedy. I am asking Ford to provide, in writing: An immediate solution for servicing affected Raptor R vehicles. Written assurance that owners will not suffer warranty consequences if oil changes are delayed due to Ford's inability to supply the required oil. Reimbursement options for customers who must obtain approved oil from third-party sources. A clear timeline for when dealerships will have adequate supplies available. A direct escalation path to management with authority to address this issue. Ford markets the Raptor R as a flagship performance vehicle.

The Transmission has failed. Hard shifting, random gear switching while driving at any speed. i put it in reverse and it went forward while in reverse. it slows itself down while on the highway. it acts like it wants to turn off while running, its a matter of time before I'm driving down the road and it decides to stop suddenly and cause an accident. I got it diagnosed by truck works garage and they confirmed that the shifting was all over the place with random high rpms. The dealership quoted me $2500 just to diagnose the problem so i had it diagnosed at truck works garage for $160 to confirm the issues matched the tsb's and recalls that they wont acknowledge my VIN for. The failure 1st appeared 5 years ago when i was under warranty, i took it in (and have the work order still dated 10/22/202) for hard shifting and they brushed me off and sent me away with false information about the cause. 5 years ago (25 days before i brought it in for the hard shifting) there was a tsb 21-2315 published for the exact issue on my truck, They ignored it and sent me away without fixing anything or addressing the issues.

My vehicle is experiencing the exact severe safety risk detailed in NHTSA Recall 26V237 (Ford Campaign 26S28) - dropping gears and risking a crash. The dealer technician confirmed the lead frame has physically failed but is denying the remedy due to a technicality over ancillary speed sensor codes embedded in that very part Molded Lead Frame.

The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, the vehicle experienced a slight loss of motive power, and the transmission failed to shift in synchronization with the engine. The check engine warning light and the service vehicle soon warning light illuminated. A diagnostic scanner retrieved transmission code 6R80. A dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V075000 (Power Train). The failure mileage was 225,000.

Months ago, experienced loss of power, deacceleration and a grinding noise as it downshifted by itself. I ran an ODB-II on it and got 4 codes. Had it towed to dealership and was told it was the manifold arm and paid over $4,200 to replace it. Now, it'd happening again- with the same 4 codes and according to FORD whom I just talked to, states that this is the Powertrain molded lead frame issue. It is a known issue(recall 26S28/26V237) and that is has no remedy. The current value is over $13,000 but it's been sitting at the dealership where I had to have it towed. With no end in sight. What are we supposed to do with a non-operative vehicle? How can ford just say, "Sorry- there's nothing we can do." And the issue have been know for years. Where is the proof they are actively searching for a remedy??

- #11772151October 19, 2026STEERING
Over the past year, the steering on my 2023 Ford F‑150 Lightning has progressively developed a severe “sticky” or “notchy” condition when turning the wheel to the right. The steering wheel will resist movement and feel like it is caught on a notch. Additional force is required to overcome the bind, and when it releases, the vehicle abruptly jerks to the right. This sudden movement can cause the truck to swerve into the adjacent lane or off the roadway. The condition began as an occasional notchy feel but has worsened significantly over time. It now occurs frequently and requires substantial steering effort to overcome the bind. This presents a serious safety hazard, especially at highway speeds or when making small steering corrections. My Ford dealer (Sam Pack’s Five Star Ford of Lewisville) inspected the vehicle and confirmed the failure is in the electric power steering rack/module. The rack is binding internally and must be replaced. The repair estimate is approximately $3,500. Steering binding and sudden directional changes are safety‑critical. Loss of smooth steering control can lead to lane departure or loss of vehicle control. This appears to be a developing issue with the Lightning’s EPAS rack and warrants investigation.

In the last month this has happened twice. While driving down the freeway my vehicle just downshifted on its own, speedometer dropped to 0, and I lost steering power but vehicle was still running. The wrench for service came on and the battery light also. As I was trying to get to a safe location the infotainment system went off first followed by my dash lighting. On the first time it happened after letting the vehicle sit for about an hour upon restart everything reset and was ok, but the engine light is still on after second incident and I'm afraid to drive it now.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V237000 (Powertrain), and the recall repair was completed. The contact stated that after the recall repair was performed, the vehicle experienced transmission downshifting at high speeds and hesitation. The contact also received notification for Customer Satisfaction Program: 26N04 (Transmission Molded Leadframe Replacement). The contact stated that the failure initially occurred when an orange wrench icon illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer refused to perform the program repair at no cost. The dealer stated that the failure originated within the output speed sensor located inside the molded leadframe and required the contact to pay for the repair out of pocket. The dealer stated that the component would not be replaced under the program because the vehicle did not display the specific Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) required for coverage. The contact stated that the code was absent because the dealer completed the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software update, erasing all stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes. Both the manufacturer and the dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 105,000.

In July of 2024 I took my truck into Cleburne Ford in Cleburne, Texas for transmission issues. The vehicle registered 39, 581 miles at that time. My complaint was mainly clunky issue regarding shifting when down and upshifting. The dealer test drove and advised completing transmission rebuild IAW with TSB 24-2176. The truck stayed at the dealership for approximately one month closing out the work order on 8/6/2024. I drove the truck for approximately two years until experiencing a serious issue that was extremely dangerous. On a road trip to to El Paso from Glen Rose with the cruise control set travel at approximately 80 miles per hour, which is the legal limit on that stretch of road. The vehicle started lunging, lurching, and hunting! it was extremely unnerving and could have caused a lesser driver to lose control of the truck, because at that speed it only takes one small issue to happen and a grave accident could have occurred. The service engine soon indicator light then came on the dash. The cruise control was deactivated and we were near a rest stop where we stopped. When I turned the truck back on the service engine soon indicator light was off. For some reason I thought maybe it has something to do with the cruise control, so I did not turn it on again for the remainder of the trip there and back. The truck seemed to be ok, but I wanted to take it in again to have it checked. I took it to Triple Crown in Stephenville Texas, because I felt upset to think I might have experienced another transmission issue just two years ago. They system identified code P 07F7 and determined TSB 26-2226 was required. They commenced to do another rebuild replaced everything again. They did not find evidence of the CDF or trash can being bad. They said its also important to replace the pump and valve body to mitigate the possibility or reoccurrence. Ford paid approximately $1,800, because of a request from the dealership and I paid approximately $2,200 out of my pocket.

I went out to my 2025 F150 Lightning and noticed there was frost on the windshield. I turned the defrost on using the app. About 10-15 minutes later, I went out my ty truck, closed the door, and heard what sounded like ice sliding off the back glass. When my wife closed the passenger door, I heard the same thing. I looked up in the rearview mirror and the back glass was shattered. Oct 17, 2026. Outside temp was low 40s.
