The component is the 6R80 transmission; the transmission is not available for inspection as i purchased an entirely new unit through ford. After having ford service department technicians perform the recall service, my vehicle began shifting erratically over the course of a few weeks. When I reached back out to the service department I was told- "It will take time for the vehicle to go through a re-learn procedure." I was instructed to give it a few weeks. After about 2 weeks the vehicle began shifting erratically between 6th and 3rd gear at highway speeds. It would randomly hold gears and then skip multiple gears; these issues began and progressed drastically in a span of 2 days. After this issue occured i took the vehicle back to an authorized Ford service department only to be told that the vehicle would need a new transmission and that the update would force the vehicle to "clear/reset, the system after every shutdown." Furthermore the vehicle would only display an error or warning light momentarily before locking the transmission in gears 3-5. At which point the warning light would disappear, after the "limp" mode. Once in this "limp" mode the vehicle would again randomly downshift in 1st or 2nd gear and then jump to 6th.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V236000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer was contacted several times and informed the contact that the parts were on backorder. Due to the safety risk, the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the brake master cylinder was replaced at the owner's expense. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the repair and informed the contact that reimbursement was denied because parts were available.

On XXX, while the vehicle was parked and not in use, the passenger-side front coil spring abruptly fractured, causing the front passenger side of the vehicle to drop onto the tire. The failure also damaged additional components. The vehicle and failed component are currently located at Hines Park Ford in [XXX], and are available for inspection upon request. This failure presented a serious safety concern. Had the spring fractured while the vehicle was traveling at highway speeds, the sudden drop in the vehicle’s front end, contact with the tire, and damage to additional components could have resulted in a sudden loss of vehicle control, potentially causing a serious crash, significant injuries, or fatalities. I am unaware whether the failure has been independently reproduced. However, the dealership inspected the vehicle and confirmed that the coil spring had broken and that additional components were damaged as a result. There were no warning signs, unusual noises, dashboard warning lights, or other noticeable symptoms before the failure. The spring fractured abruptly and without warning while the vehicle was parked. The sudden failure of a critical suspension component on a vehicle that was not in motion raises serious concerns about the component’s reliability and the potential consequences if the same failure occurs while driving. On XXX at approximately 6:50 AM, I was backing out of my driveway. After entering the roadway, I came to a complete stop and shifted from Reverse to Drive while in Normal drive mode. Immediately upon shifting into Drive, the vehicle lurched forward and rapidly accelerated without any accelerator pedal input. My foot was not on the accelerator. The vehicle accelerated to approximately 15-16 MPH and continued moving under power. I had to quickly steer to avoid striking my brick mailbox. The vehicle continued moving until I applied the brakes and brought it to a complete stop. After stopping, the engine RPM returned to normal and the vehicle then operated normally. No warning lights or messages were displayed. This event created a significant safety hazard and nearly resulted in a collision. In addition, the vehicle has experienced intermittent transmission and driveline issues since it was new. Symptoms include harsh upshifts and downshifts, gear hunting, shuddering, driveline clunks, RPM fluctuations under steady throttle, and jerking during acceleration and deceleration. Some downshifts have been severe enough to make the vehicle lurch as if lightly rear-ended. Other events have felt similar to placing a vehicle in Park while still moving. I have experienced abrupt downshifts while slowing from approximately 40 MPH, rapid multiple-gear downshifts accompanied by shuddering, harsh shifts while coming to a stop at low speeds, and repeated gear hunting in traffic. The symptoms occur intermittently, often at low speeds, during the first few miles of driving, and sometimes while traveling uphill. I have returned the vehicle to Ford of [XXX] three times for these concerns. The dealership has been unable to duplicate the condition and no repairs have been performed. I am concerned that the unintended acceleration event and longstanding transmission/driveline abnormalities may be related to an underlying powertrain, transmission, or electronic control defect. Ford F150 Recall 23S65. Took truck into Palmetto Ford in Charleston, SC for recall repair due to loud scraping coming from back axle. Told that they do not have parts in stock and will have to order, but the last order they placed for this recall was in February 2026 and has still not arrived. I asked - am I expected to just drive around until it snaps and the truck is immobile? The recall said it could move while parked - am I just expected to always use the parking brake now? - they told me that they cannot answer those questions, which is unacceptable.

Formal Financial Assistance Statement RE: Goodwill Cost-Share Request for 2021 F-150 King Ranch VIN: [XXX] Current Mileage: 119,000 miles Diagnostic Trouble Codes: P2704, P07E6, P2886, P2885 Dealer Repair Quote: $9,820.50 (Full Internal Transmission Replacement) To Whom It May Concern at Ford Motor Company and Dealer Leadership: I am formally requesting a corporate Goodwill Cost-Share for the catastrophic internal transmission failure on my 2021 F-150 King Ranch. While this vehicle is slightly past its 100,000-mile powertrain coverage, a total mechanical failure on a top-tier luxury vehicle at this stage—caused by well-documented, inherent factory defects—is entirely unacceptable. The diagnosis and fault codes pulled by the certified mechanic map directly to systemic, factory-recognized hardware flaws in the 10R80 10-speed transmission: 1. The Core Mechanical Failure (TSB 24-2209 / TSB 23-2250): My truck exhibits severe gear slippage and loud internal clunking, triggering code P2704 (Friction Element E Apply Time). As documented heavily by Ford’s own service network, this code is the direct result of a design flaw where the internal CDF clutch drum bushing migrates out of place under heat, slicing internal seals and destroying line pressure (triggering pressure codes P2885 and P2886). 2. The Safety Concern (Code P07E6): My transmission has also thrown code P07E6 (Unable to Engage Park), which directly mirrors the mechanical components Ford is actively tracking for transmission parking pawl issues. Ford Motor Company has issued multiple Technical Service Bulletins acknowledging this exact failure sequence and has since redesigned the CDF drum assembly to correct the manufacturing flaw. I should not be held solely responsible for a $9,820.50 repair bill caused by a component that Ford has publicly acknowledged was defectively designed from the factory. As a loyal Ford customer driving a premium vehicle, I expect Ford to stand behind its product. I am req INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION

My 2013 Ford F-150 is experiencing the dangerous failure associated with NHTSA Safety Recall 19S07. While driving, the transmission abruptly and unexpectedly downshifted into 1st gear at speed. This causes sudden, violent deceleration equivalent to a severe rear-end collision, creating an extreme safety hazard and loss of vehicle control. To protect public safety, the vehicle is parked at my residence. On October 23, 2026, I contacted the local authorized Ford service dealership. The service department refused to provide or cover loaner/rental transportation while performing this recall repair, stated that neither Ford Motor Company nor the dealership would cover towing for an un-driveable vehicle affected by a factory safety recall, and warned that I would face out-of-pocket fees for additional diagnostic reports if the recall software reflash does not clear the transmission fault. Requiring a consumer to operate a dangerously defective vehicle or bear out-of-pocket expenses for towing, rentals, and diagnostics to resolve an active safety recall directly conflicts with federal safety recall mandates and public safety objectives.

When using the cruise control and passing a 65MPH speed limit sign, the vehicle accelerates to 85MPH. The posted speed in the area 65MPH. The max speed for the state of NC is 70. Yet, the vehicle acts as if the speed limit is 85MPH. This event is repeated routinely approximately 95% of the time as I pass this particular location on I-885 South, just north of the Ellis Road exit, in Durham NC.

I am writing on behalf of my father, [XXX], age [XXX], regarding his 2015 Ford F-150 (VIN [XXX]), which is covered by Safety Recall 26S28 for unintended transmission downshift. His truck has already experienced the defect. In early October, it unexpectedly downshifted while he was driving. He contacted Asheville Ford multiple times to schedule a service and has been told the recall has been paused. His request for a loaner or rental was declined. Ford's recall page describes this defect as one that can cause the rear wheels to slide or lock up and increase the risk of a crash. Ford's site now also instructs owners not to have the repair performed while Ford investigates problems with the software remedy. As a result, the truck has a confirmed safety defect that Ford is not currently able to repair. This truck is my father's only transportation. He cannot safely drive it, and Ford has not provided a timeline for a repair. We are asking Ford to provide a loaner or rental vehicle until the recall repair can be completed. We believe this is a reasonable request given that the vehicle is unsafe because of a defect Ford has acknowledged, and the delay in repair is due to Ford's own investigation. Thank you for your help. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V237000 (Power Train); however, the failure occurred after the recall repair. While driving at 62 MPH, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted, and the transmission warning light illuminated. The contact pulled over, and the vehicle made a loud thumping sound before shutting off unexpectedly. The vehicle was restarted but failed to shift into 1st and 2nd gear. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the lead frame needed to be replaced; however, the correct code was not retrieved for the repair to be covered free of charge. The failure mileage was approximately 136,000.

On 9/25/2026, I made an appointment with a Ford Dealer to receive a fix for NHTSA saftey recall 26V237 on 10/7/2026. Before 10/7/2026 Ford paused the recall. In their own notice Ford says this problem could result in loss vehicle control increasing the risk of a crash. They do not rule out that a crash could occur at high speed. It appears that before the pause, they applied a software fix to many vehicles which caused new problems. They should make a serious effort to effect a solution even if it requires replacing hardware.

- #11772985October 22, 2026STEERING, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
On 10-20-2026 while driving at highway speed of approximately 65 mph on a mountainous curving road, the steering became noticeably hard and the vehicle gave a Steering Assist Fault Service Required warning. Slowing down to a stop to park the steering was very hard. The Warning was dismissed, but reappeared on the dash withing 5-10 miles of driving. After shutting off the Truck for 30 minutes, I drove directly to a Ford Dealership. On the way there, the Steering Assist Fault warning came back on. The truck has 39,206 miles and is just barely out of warranty. The Dealership checked for weak failing 12 volt battery, loose or corroded ground/terminals and software updates and found none of these minor issues. The dealership did diagnose the PSCM was bad. They told me the Fault error code was U3000 and the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) that is built into the Rack & Pinion steering rack assembly would need to be replaced. This is a Severe Safety Concern where a sudden failure of a primary steering component at 65 mph is a severe safety incident that could cause a catastrophic crash. Because my vehicle is barely out of warranty, and this is a very expensive repair to have the steering rack assembly replaced, re-programmed and wheel alignment, I have contacted Ford Corporate Customer Relationship Center as well as the Dealership for and After Warranty Assistance also known as Ford's Goodwill Assistance Cost Share. I am currently awaiting word on if Ford will help me with the cost of this repair. This is unknown at this time.

**Subject: Potential Engine Oil Pan Seal Defect — 2019 Ford F-150 2.7L EcoBoost — Ford TSB 19-2189** I am submitting this complaint regarding an engine oil pan seal leak on my 2019 Ford F-150 Lariat equipped with the 2.7L EcoBoost engine. The vehicle has approximately 172,000 miles. A mechanic has identified an oil pan seal leak. The vehicle is actively dripping oil, and I have observed a drop in the engine oil level. The leak has not yet been repaired. I have contacted Ford regarding the issue. My vehicle's reported build date falls within the production period addressed by Ford Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 19-2189, dated August 6, 2019. That bulletin states that certain 2018–2019 Ford F-150 vehicles equipped with the 2.7L EcoBoost engine and built on or before May 21, 2019, may develop an oil leak from the engine oil pan RTV seal. Ford's specified corrective procedure involves replacing the oil pan with one equipped with a press-in-place gasket. The similarity between the condition described in this bulletin and the leak on my vehicle raises concern that this may be a known design, sealing, or durability issue affecting multiple vehicles. An ongoing engine oil leak can require repeated oil replenishment and may lead to insufficient engine lubrication if the oil level falls too low. Depending on the severity and circumstances, an oil leak may also create additional hazards. I have observed oil dripping and a reduced oil level, but I am not claiming that my vehicle has experienced engine failure, a crash, a fire, or loss of control. I am requesting that NHTSA review this reported condition and determine whether the oil pan seal issue described in TSB 19-2189 represents a safety-related defect warranting further investigation or a recall. I also request that NHTSA evaluate whether the existing repair guidance adequately addresses the underlying problem and whether affected owners should receive a safety-related remedy.
