ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Instrument cluster shows ZERO function. No warning indication, No mileage, No fuel reading No Speed. At about 45 mph vehicle had reduced speed and reduced power while on a fairly busy road. Without the instrument cluster functioning, no idea what is going on and had to have it towed to dealership. Mileage unknown because of gauges not working.

Driving down the interstate at normal speed 60mph. There was a loud pop and white smoke, I pulled over and the drive shaft had broke loose, the u joint broke and cracked my transfer case. Dodge has a very bad problem in these year model with this same issue.

Have a exhaust leak during start up ticking really bad... exhaust is coming inside cab with ac on. This truck only has 36000 miles and has already had several issues with this trucks electrical system and now this exhaust issue

STEERING
When traveling at low speeds when turning right the power steering feels like it is going to go out. I noticed that there have been recalls on the 2019 Ram 1500 due to power steering problems. I believe there is something wrong with my vehicle and should be included with the other 2019 Ram 1500's that were recalled for power steering failure. I'm voicing my concern because it is probably only a matter of time before I have a major issue with the power steering.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
I am having an issue with the radio screen on the vehicle is delaminating. This isn't repair able buy putting a new screen or screen protector on. the only thing is to replace the radio. the radio has the reverse camera connected to it and the radio controls the heating and AC. the radio also controls or changes settings in regards to electric brakes for trailers as well as lighting and etc. This is a major safety concern as when the delamination gets to the point of full delamination it tends to short the radio out. Shorting the radio out can cause the AC and heating which in the current weather climates becomes dangerous to be in. (heat stroke, frost bite, etc). the reverse camera also would be disabled which can be a potential danger to anything in rear of vehicle that isn't seen in the mirrors. Also a device shorting out also can cause fire. FCA is aware of the issue and is only replacing vehicles under the original 36,000 warranty. for everyone else it is Over $1,800 closer to $2,500 to have issue fixed that should be a recall issue.

The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. The contact stated that the vehicle had been at the dealer for approximately two months. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

SUSPENSION
Automatic Air Suspension defective. Truck back 2 wheels remains in "off road" mode while the front 2 tires remain in" plant" mode. Brought to carmax after owning for a month. they brought to dealer where is was serviced and fixed at the time. same issue is ongoing after now 2nd attempt to fix. replaced relay part and broke a week later. now having battery and alternator issues along with suspension is still broken.

The 3.6-liter V6 24-valve VVT engine which is defective and is a safety hazard. First pinging then the truck stalls out in traffic. Dodge does not stand behind the Lifetime limited Powertrain warranty they sold me when I bought the truck because the dealer, I bought it from closed. Dodge knowing these engines are defective put us customers in life threating situations because of the faulty components in these engines. They put the cost on the customers to fix the faulty rockers and lifters, valves, camshafts. So, I paid $3,400.00 to have it fixed with them installing new defective parts that will fail again and put my life in danger when the truck just stalls out.

I was driving down the interstate and started to see flames and smoke coming from my hood. I pulled over and was able to put out the fire. The fire department showed up and determined that the fire started from the fuel injector system.

The lights on the dash went out while sitting still. All of them flashed on then off again, a warning light about the transmission came on and then off again. The motor surged and would not stop, the brakes would not work, the shifter would not work. The vehicle surged into oncoming traffic.

STRUCTURE:BODY
The tailgate intermittently opens on it's own while driving. This has happened approximately 6-10 times since I purchased the vehicle in November 2021 with 10k miles. One time it was noticed less than 1 mile from home as I was travelling under 45 mph. Other times it has been at higher speeds. I was only made aware of it happening when other cars were motioning to me while I was driving. I always firmly shut the tailgate and give it a pull to confirm it is latched. I have gotten in the habit of clicking on the backup camera after I have been driving a few minutes because there does not appear to be a warning light. Because I carry many tools in the bed for work, there is a safety risk to following vehicles (in addition to the cost of lost tools). Upon inspection I have noticed play in the right hinge. It appears to be missing a bushing on the right side that is in place on the left side (photos attached). Because I drive so much for work I didn't take it to the dealer until it had 41k miles on it. The service writer witnessed the play. A an appointment has been made for August 4, 2022 for service, but I was told that it will not be covered under warranty. On Saturday, July 16th, I was passing a vehicle at approximately 65mph on a two lane road with no shoulder when my engine stalled. Fortunately I was on a straight stretch of the road and was able to coast to a safe location to attempt to restart my engine. After I stopped, I attempted numerous times to restart my engine without success. This stall caused me to be on the side of the road with no shoulder partially sticking out into the roadway. I eventually had to be towed to my mechanic. Once at my mechanic, he found two recalls that had similar symptoms concerning Dodge RAM Ecodiesels- recall W58 and W68 along with TSB 14-007-21. I contacted RAM and was informed that my VIN number was not included in this recall and that they would not fix my vehicle under this recall without me paying in full and their mechanic verifying what was wrong. They were also backlogged and could not even diagnose the issue for 5-8 business days. I elected to have my mechanic perform the work. Once my mechanic opened the transmission assembly, he found that the tone wheel in fact had lost a piece of the magnetic material just like the photo in the service bulletin. He had to repair all the components of the tone wheel and crank sensor assembly just as the service bulleton said to get the vehicle to run again. I have contacted RAM and they stated there is nothing they can do since there is not an open recall on my VIN number even though my truck matches the model and engine type along with affected years from the recall. My VIN should be included in this recall because this incident matches perfectly what the recall states. I have all the paperwork and the actual tone wheel if that is necessary. I am simply trying to get RAM to pay for what they should be obligated to fix on a known problem. They stated that NHTSA is the organization that recalls vehicles and maybe my VIN would be included at some point- of course I know they just don't want to pay for the repair using this as an excuse.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, SERVICE BRAKES, ENGINE
The truck currently has 5804 miles. It has been to the dealership 4 times already for electrical-related issues, and once for a recall on the ECM. Total of 4 CILs by first 1000 miles. Then 1 additional light 8 days ago. Has been at service department since. The first major problem was at apx. 400 miles. The truck shut off at a light, even with the stop/start deactivated, and attempted to restart without success. The starter engaged but the injectors did not. It made a diesel sound until I pressed the start button again to retry, It had a CIL for injector bank misfire, then started back as normal. I drove straight to the dealer (within 2 miles) where they kept it for a week. They called and told me to come to pick it up because there were no issues with it. Apparently, the computer had no stored codes or history. Since then it has had a transmission over temp CIL, and 2 other lights that did not show me a message. The 12-inch Uconnect is constantly having errors and restarting (still awaiting a response from Ram on how to remedy it). The most current issue is when I was pulling away from a stop sign and the truck shifted to park and set the brake while shutting off on its own. Again stop/start was deactivated. Restarted the truck and drove straight to the dealer where it was observed by the service writer and manager that the low battery voltage message (11.5V) and light were on as well as several other lights. While driving it showed a low volt warning and started turning off loads to conserve power. I left the truck with them for 8 days so far. They have checked the truck multiple times as well have driven it. No evidence of any codes in the computer and no error lights anymore. Awaiting Ram to tell them what to do. At this point, I am afraid to drive the truck for fear it will shift to park while traveling at a higher speed and cause an accident. I now have a truck I cannot trust to drive and a hefty payment.

On three separate occasions within two months, the truck completely shut down without any warning. The first time I was at a stop light, when light turned green, I stepped on gas and truck died. Nothing worked on the vehicle, there were no messages or warnings. The truck was towed to dealership, tried to replace RF hub but "unable to be performed"-swapped star connector cavity to C12 and communication achieved-RF replace procedures passed. Five weeks later, went to start truck in driveway and wouldn't start, truck was completely dead, had mechanic come to home ,test the battery ,and it was fine. He thought the remotes were not communicating; had to be towed to dealership again, truck sat there for a few days, dealership said it started up, they did diagnostics, found nothing wrong and handed truck back to me. One week later, started the truck with remote and as I was walking to the truck, it died, completely shut down and had to be towed again. Truck has been at dealership for 17 days, diagnosed that the RF hub needs to be replaced. This truck is unsafe and unpredictable as it could just shut down at any time, cause an accident where people could get injured or killed.

While starting to drive forward or backward turning, there is a shutter vibration felt slightly heard. It also has grinding shutter vibration at turn in intersection during the turn. The dealer on the 3 complaint visit replaced a front passenger CV Joint and bearing, upon picking the truck up it did it immediately again. Could not return as it was the service department closing time. There is also vibration grinding around 50 mph and up. Dealer states they can not duplicate issue. This is abnormal and concerns me as in a turn or higher speed, something breaks will put my family's lives and other motorist in danger. Also when using AC defrost vent stays open and will cause dew on the windshield.
