Brand new 2025 Ram 1500 Bighorn/Lonestar purchased on 10/24/24. From day 1 it pulls to the right at highways speeds. The dealer has tried to fix the issue with alignment two times, but not luck, they don’t know what is wrong because all the numbers in alignment are green and good. There are several online posts that are talking about this issue with the 2025 Ram 1500s. Also in regard to my truck greeting light feature, the service advisisor said the technician claims it is not a feature on the Bighorn/Lonestar trims, but I believe it is. If it wasn't a feature, then I wouldn't have those options in my settings. I also discovered something interesting about this. At night, after turning my truck off - but without pressing the key fob, LOCK button, if I press the key fob UNLOCK button, the headlights and taillights come on (as per the featured settings) like they are supposed to do. However, if I press the key fob LOCK button first (1 or 2 presses - it doesn't matter), when I press the key fob UNLOCK button, the headlights and taillights do not turn on (as per the featured settings) like they are supposed to. Again, I believe this is a software issue, but could be related to the headlight module that I am seeing being reported online as well.

The truck brake pedal got hard and went all the way to the bottom. Dash lighted up like a Christmas tree. Luckily I was entering a parking lot so I was going slow and was able to park the truck. Truck only has 453 miles and is only 2 weeks since purchase. If there's a recall for this issue I believe it wasn't taken care of before selling it to me.

While driving this truck at approximately 45 mph to 50mph the steering locked up and could not turn wheel either way with both hands . It then broke loose causing to truck to take a herd right turn . It does same thing if you are pulling to left when it frees up causing a quick left hand turn . This is very dangerous as total loss of steering occurred . Luckily there was room to stop . The steering then started working again then after consort distance it happened again . At this point I had a roll back haul it home . This could cause serious injury to me and or my family or someone coming in other lane . This is a totally bad design a vehicle should never be unable to be steered .

The bolts that connect the two parts of the exhaust pipe, about midway on the truck, sheared off. The truck is a 2021 with only 47,000 miles on. These bolts should not be shearing off like this

My 2013 Ram 1500 has had issues with the horn not working when the middle of the steering wheel is pushed but sounds when the key fob is used to lock doors. The EVIC control on the steering wheel would also not work. This started in 2018 where the problem was intermittent. This was part of recall R36 where the rubbing of the steering wheel harness on the retainer springs could cause an electrical short and or inadvertent air bag deployment. I took my vehicle to Bill Volz WestchesterDodge, Cortland Manor, NY for the recall on 10-19-15 with 18,205 miles. I feel the work wasn’t done properly because the problem reoccurred in less than 3 years and about 6,000 miles later. The horn and EVIC has not worked in over 7 months. My concern is that I could be driving on a major interstate when my vehicle airbag deploys causing a crash. I contacted Chrysler customer service on 1-13-2025 and spoke to a representative. That person called me back on 1-14-2025 and stated that he referred my case #[XXX] , to a specialist who would contact me in 2-3 business days. As of 2-2-2025 I have not received any response from Chrysler customer service. I need assistance in correcting this safety issue. See attachments. My Ram 1500 front drive assembly issue. The initial issue was failure to engage in 4wheel drive. In either 4 wheel low, high or Auto. During replacing the transfer case it became obvious that axle in some way basically became welded to housing so had to replace left axle as well. Do to these problems I now have to replace front differential (part# 68349702AE and right axle (part# 68259567AA) as well because of the failure of transfer case and left axle. My issue is 1st the differential part is not available in my area (Nassau County NY). 2nd is that there is a recall for a faulty gear or bearing in the front drive train that my VIN# is not included in this recall. Could this bearing/gear have caused my issue? 3rd is if the front differential is on such a long back order that is telling me that Stelantis has an issue with the reliability of this part (68349702AE). Why if this is in such demand and numerous problems with them hasn't NHTSA not forced Stalantis to recall these parts. My truck is a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie 5.7 Hemi with just 38,677 miles presently today. I have never taken this truck 4 wheeling or on the beach. The only time I have used 4 wheel drive is when the roads are slick due to rain, snow or ice, because of the light rear end. The last time 4 wheel drive was used was last years snow storm. Just don't understand hardly ever used and all this damage, truck was never in a substantial accident. I clipped drivers side back door and small section of bed, minor. Any information or help would be greatly appreciated. I'm already into this for $2500 and looking at another $3000. Thank You.

2025 RAM 1500 with 1580 miles. While in 4WD at 10 mph, vehicle message “service electronic stability control” followed by “ 4WD system temporarily unavailable” and “emergency braking unavailable. I was on a beach when it failed. Managed to get off the beach with failure still there. I shut down the vehicle a few miles later and started it back up and failure still there. After 7 miles the failure disappeared. Called service and they said call back if it happened again?? Told me the code would not be observable by the time I got to them. Sounds similar to a recall on vehicles manufactured thru August of 2024. This truck was built in September 2024.

The contact owned a 2014 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH in the mountains, the check engine light illuminated. There was an abnormally strong odor of anti-freeze inside the cab. There was antifreeze coming from the tailpipe. The contact and her son noticed smoke on the side of the vehicle. The contact decreased her speed to approximately 45 MPH and was able to pull over. After stopping, the vehicle caught fire and was engulfed in flames. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V757000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The contact, her son, and her dog were able to exit the vehicle safely. The contact and her son sustained a traumatic injury, but medical attention was not provided. The dog sustained unknown injuries and was taken to the veterinarian for medical attention. A police report was not filed. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Before the failure, the vehicle had been taken to the same dealer for NHTSA Campaign Number 19V757000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The insurance company deemed the vehicle a total loss. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

I had my 2014 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel serviced for a recall regarding the crankshaft position sensor, recall 66A/NHSTA 23V-411 in December of 2023. The recall calls for an update to be downloaded to the crankshaft position sensor to allow it to continue functioning when the adhesive fails on the magnetic strip on the tone wheel. In January of 2025 I was driving down the road when the Service Electronic Throttle Control System light came on. I immediately lost power, my truck wouldn't go above 3K RPMs, and has a hard time starting. I took it to the dealership on January 21, 2025 and they diagnosed it as needing the crankshaft position sensor replaced. The dealership quoted me $1600 to replace. I called Ram to see if they would cover the bill since that part is recalled. They said that since the 8 year warranty is expired, and the recall had already been served, they would not honor the recall. My concern is that adhesive on the magnetic strip failed, causing the crankshaft position to be damaged. This occurred while driving at low speeds. Had this happened while driving down the interstate, the sudden loss of power could have been catastrophic. My truck still will not go above 3K RPMs, has very little power, and has trouble starting. Even though this part is recalled, neither the dealership nor the manufacturer will cover the costs to replace the part.

The Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) is malfunctioning and causing the ABS light, Electronic Stability Control and other warning lights to be triggered. The failing HCU initially resulted in loss of ABS and traction control. There has been a recall of 2017-2018 Ram 2500, 3500, 4500 & 5500 trucks and the recall addresses a defect in the hydraulic control unit (HCU) that could lead to the failure of the anti-lock brake system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), and traction control systems. Below is the link to the 24V-896 Safety Recall Report: [XXX] This HCU failure causes the Anti-lock braking system and Traction control system to no longer function limiting function under wet or slippery conditions. This puts the driver and others at risk. Ram settled a class action lawsuit addressing this issue for the above-mentioned vehicles but left out the 1500 series. This is a $2,000 repair that should be a recall. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My vehicle with 70k miles on it has had a failure of the motor generator unit (MGU). This is a mild hybrid system that provides power for the vehicle. My truck is completely unusable per the service technician at the dealership. If I continue driving it the battery power will drain and I will be stranded. It appears it is a bearing failure in the generator. Upon investigation there are numerous cases of other Ram 1500 owners having the same issue at relatively low mileage for such a crucial engine component. The part is currently backordered and I just read a report that there are over 5000 currently ordered in the system, so that would lead me to believe that over 5000 owners are having the same issue. Luckily I was near my home when this occurred as this could have left me stranded. Reports say it could be 1-2 months before parts are in stock to fix the issue. This just seems unreasonable for 5000 customers of a major automotive manufacturer to have potentially dead vehicles for 1-2 months.

Electric Power steering (EPS) Warning lamp came on while driving this 2014 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 1500 Big Horn and had no power steering! Mechanic states approximately $4k to replace rack and pinion steering. Searching there are thousands of these trucks out there with the same problem. I have checked the Ram "recall" and the S/N on this gear does not match any of those listed. Terrible design and FCA needs to step up to the plate and make this right for Ram Owners before more are injured or worse. Truck will be parked it it not safe to drive and who has four grand laying around to fix these trucks?

The brakes on my 2017 4WD Lonestar Ram 1500 have been malfunctioning intermittently over the past few months. When depressing the brake petal, three things happen at once; the brake petal pulsates up and down, the ABS and "Service Electronic Braking System" lights illuminate on the dash, and I can hear a loud, gurgling sound. While researching the issue online, I noticed that a recall for the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) responsible for failure of the braking system has been initiated for the 2017 Ram 2500 and 3500 models, but I believe that an inspection will reveal that the HCU in my 1500 is also faulty. This issue greatly impacts the vehicles ability to slow down or come to a sudden stop, as the brakes often lock when they are applied, and has almost resulted in several collisions.
