I was driving on the highway at 80mph with the truck in 10th gear and it downshifted to 1st gear and would not shift back to 10th and slowed down rapidly. This problem is since repeating and now unable to be driven.

The same exact issue as stated in recall 19S07, I was driving on the highway at highway speeds 75-80 miles per hour, and my truck suddenly and instantly down shifted directly to 1st gear. Catastrophic failure, I am extremely lucky that I did not get in an accident or die, and that my engine did not explode from the sudden RPM jump.

My 2013 Ford F-150 started demonstrating operational transmission issues in October 2024. I took the vehicle to a local transmission shop and they advised the issue, a defective molded lead frame in the 6R80 transmission, was actually covered under a Ford safety recall (#19S07) which was issued prior to that date. I subsequently had my truck towed to Sarasota Ford (Sarasota, Florida) where it sat for several months. In January 2025, I was notified my truck was being brought in for evaluation. After several delays (i.e.-dead battery, incorrect recall, etc.) my truck was diagnosed. While the service techs were able to duplicate the transmission failure (stuck in 1st gear, wrench displayed on dash display, speedometer and odometer stop working), they claimed they were not able to obtain the needed diagnostic codes. After several more weeks of attempting to work with Ford's corporate office to find a solution, I colllected my truck from Sarasota Ford on January 31, 2025. Six r, days later, I delivered my truck to Vic's Performance Transmission and Automotive Inc. (1201 11th St E Palmetto FL 34221). Within two to three hours, the staff at Vic's Transmission were able to diagnose my truck as having a faulty transmission molded lead frame. They made the repair within a few days and my vehicle has been operational since then. On February 19, 2025, I mailed a letter outlining greater detail of the aforementioned events and requested assistance from the President of the Ford Customer Service Division. To date, I have not received any correspondence or reply mail from Ford. I am requesting your assistance with addressing this matter. As a loyal Ford customer of 30+ years, I think I deserve corrective action. I attempted to resolve the matter myself, with not response from corporate, I have moved on to my only option. The recall (#19S07) was there, yet Ford failed to act or respond appropriately. I only seek reimbursement of the money spent to repair my truck. Thank you.

On a separate occasion, the console screen ceased to function and would not display data and shut off intermittently and turned on independently. The headlight warning lights, and Forward Collision Avoidance warning light was illuminated, and a message that the center sensor not active was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the dealer made several software updates; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. Ford stated a solution to this would be available Q1 2025, but has not provided one. They had already pushed this back once before. THE WHEEL END HUB BOLT IN THE REAR AXLE MAY BECOME LOOSE OR BREAK. CONTINUED DRIVING WITH A BROKEN BOLT MAY LEAD TO WEAR WITHIN THE AXLE AND DAMAGE THE AXLE HUB SPLINES. THIS MAY INITIALLY RESULT IN A CLICKING NOISE AS THE BOLT BECOMES LOOSE AND A RATTLE NOISE FROM THE WHEEL CAP IF THE BOLT BREAKS. VEHICLES WITH DAMAGED AXLE HUB SPLINES MAY ROLL IN PARK WITHOUT THE PARKING BRAKE APPLIED, OR, ALTERNATIVELY, LOSE DRIVE POWER, BOTH OF WHICH MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF INJURY OR A CRASH.

I received a letter many months ago from Ford stating that recall 23S65 would be remedied during the first quarter of 2025. Ford is now late in addressing this recall, and should face scrutiny, fines, or some other form of punishment. I continue to wait for information from Ford and for the fix itself. Meanwhile my truck is at risk every time I drive it.

f150 EQUIPED WITH 4r80 10 SPEED TRANSMISSION. Starting several months ago, the vehicle started experiencing up shifts with hesitation during upshift, typically the mid gears. Starting from a stop, the shift from 1st to 3rd is very harsh and stutters. Condition has progressively gotten worse. While upshifting, I am now experiencing more exaggerated pausing/delays during mid gear upshifts. While entering a freeway, accelerated to merge with traffic and the transmission downshifted and there was an approximately 2 second delay in the shift which caused the vehicle to bog down substantially, nearly causing a following vehicle to impact my vehicle.
