Inform the customer they can continue to drive the vehicle. For 2021 F-150 vehicles exhibiting this concern, perform Technical Service Bulletin 21-2388 and confirm if the concern is still present. Monitor for OASIS for updates.

SummarySome 2021-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit a condition where the high voltage battery stops charging when connected to level 1 or level 2 chargers with an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2C94 stored in the secondary on-board diagnostic control module A (SOBDM). To restore charging capability, disconnect the off-board charging station charge handle from the vehicle charge port and reconnect. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in June 2023. Replacement of the SOBDM will not resolve this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information.

SummarySome 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine may experience a loss of engine coolant with possible engine overheat and/or illuminated malfunction indicator (MIL). This may be due to a crack in the exhaust heat exchanger coolant spigots on the top of the exhaust heat exchanger. The exhaust heat exchanger coolant spigots are now released and should be serviced in pairs. It is no longer necessary to replace the muffler inlet pipe assembly for this type of concern. Workshop Manual, Section 309-00D has been updated to include a new service procedure. Refer to Workshop Manual Section 206-04 Rear Disc Brake. For claiming, use causal part number 2552 and applicable labor times from Section 02 of the Service Labor Times Standard Manual. These concerns may be caused by faulty connections between the pickup bed, tailgate, rear lamp assemblies, or bumper where connectors are disconnected, damaged, or coated with bedliner. Prior to performing any warranty diagnosis or repairs, verify if the vehicle had an aftermarket spray-in-bedliner. Any repairs resulting from aftermarket products/installation, including but not limited to a spray-in bedliner, are not covered under warranty.

This may be due to the configuration data for the VDM. To correct the condition, download and run the VDM - Vehicle Dynamics Module Configuration app using the latest level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). After the VDM configuration has completed, download and run the VDM - On Board Scales Calibration app and perform the Vehicle Payload Update and the Height Sensor Calibration to complete the repair. The Vehicle Payload Update entry in FDRS should correspond with the rating shown on the Tire and Load Information label found on either the B-pillar or the edge of the driver door. SummarySome 2017-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with a 10R60/10R80/10R80 MHT/10R100 transmission may exhibit a whine noise at idle and/or while driving. This may be identified as coming from the bellhousing and the front of the transmission fluid pan. The whine noise may become louder when the transmission is at operating temperature and may increase with engine revolutions per minute (RPM) in the park (P) position. A small amount of whine noise is considered to be characteristic of the 10R60/10R80/10R80 MHT/10R100 transmissions due to the offset gear drivetrain in the front support and has no effect on durability.

SummarySome 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles may not be able to communicate with some emissions testing equipment. Engineering is aware of the concern and is currently working on a solution expected in 2nd Quarter 2023. Monitor OASIS for updates. As a temporary corrective action, technicians may attempt one of the following: (a) Leave the engine running when performing the emissions test, even when the machine prompts to shut the engine off. (b) If a Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) tool is available at the same location as the emissions testing equipment, use the FDRS tool to download and run the On-Demand DTC self-test on the audio front control module (ACM) and clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) in the ACM, even if none are present. Then within the same key cycle, connect to the emissions test machine and perform the emissions test immediately.

The connection for these features has been removed from the Android version of the FordPass app, and will soon be removed from the iOS version. The Smart Hitch and Onboard Scales will also be removed in a future FordPass release expected no later than March 1st, 2023. Full functionality of these features will remain in vehicle, but will not be controllable from FordPass. Advise the customer of the FordPass changes and do not perform any repairs for this concern.

This may also be accompanied by diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B118C:11 and/or B118C:15 stored in the driver door module (DDM), and/or B118D:11 and/or B118D:15 stored in the passenger door module (PDM). This may be due to the connector going from the mirror to the BLIS module (C576 for driver side, C676 for passenger side) having a pin out condition. To correct this condition, inspect the connector on the side experiencing the issue for a pin out condition and repair the circuit as necessary. Refer to Wiring Diagram, Cell 005, Connector Repair Procedures. If there is no issue with the connector or circuit, continue with normal diagnostics.
