There is an issue with the fuel gauge. Not reading correctly and running out of gas. Needle is at half tank and it has run out of fuel. I’ve had this happen to me multiple times. Gage reads more than I physically have. I’ve even ran out of fuel on the freeway.

Purchased from Coparts end of March 2024 2019 Nissan Titan Xd S [XXX] ) Arrived with no keys, no batteries, other engine parts missing. we thought it would run once we got keys and battery for it because it had less than 13,000 miles on it. Connecting bar seems broke, oil pan was off so no oil. Afraid to try to turn over because of all the issues until the engine is pulled and inspected. We feel we received a lemon for it to be in such bad shape with less than 13,000 miles. Plus sold without catalytic converter, thought that was illegal. Can anything be done to help us? Drive shaft broke while driving down interstate. Diagnosed by Nissan Dealership and confirmed by private diesel mechanic. Currently sitting at mechanic shop waiting on quote to be repaired if possible- due to financial hardship to replace motor. There were no warning lights that lit up on the dashboard. Vehicle drove fine up to that point.

Engine failure -I was driving about 45-50 mph and as I was approaching a four way intersection with a stop sign approaching in my direction of travel. As I came to a stop, the engine locked up and could not be restarted. Leaving my truck dead in the middle of the road. After having it towed to a friend's shop I removed the oil pan, only to find a alot of copper colored metal shavings all throughout. I have an obd2 scan tool with live monitoring called a BlueDriver which connects via Bluetooth to my phone and allows me to monitor different sensors and checks for any trouble codes that the truck may currently have. I had this app open and was monitoring about 6 different sensors at the time. The truck never showed any signs of anything unusual or out of the ordinary. I also never had any warnings or the check engine light come on. After joining a few Facebook groups and online fourms, and I realized this was not a very rear occurrence and that many others have experienced similar engine failures as well.

I was accelerating onto the highway approaching 60 mph when a loud rapping noise began from the engine with a loss of power and seveare vibration almost causing me to lose control of the truck. Engine lights came on at the same time. I was able to pull over to the shoulder and shut the truck down. It would not restart after that. Dealer indicated snapped crank shaft and a replacement motor would be needed. Truck powertrain was supposed to be covered under the certified pre-owned agreement but they indicated block replacement was not covered however. Truck only has 64,000 miles on it (2017 Titan XD 5.0-L Cummins). Thanks [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Crankshaft failure resulting in complete engine failure. I still have both halves of the crankshaft laying on my bench. During the engine failure experience the truck lost all engine power and came to a stop alongside of interstate barrier wall. I couldn't even open my door without obstructing a lane of interstate traffic. No warning lights led up to the event or any symptoms leading to the catastrophic engine failure.

I am trying to get an appointment at the Nissan Service in Clarksville, MD about the safety concern. They haven't returned to me after I left numerous messages via text and their office answer machines. My truck acts very oddly at around 40 mph which is very hazard and I did send the video link but they rather not view it until I get an appointment. I did reach the Nissan Consumer Affairs that I have waited long enough but they told me to continue to contact the service and they are aware of it due to the log. I did send the video to both of them but they couldn't view it at their work computer. The truck drifted on the ramp around 40 mph as I captured it. See the video below, at :20, I kept on the gas for around mph, the RPM and MPH dropped and the slippery warning light and the brake system was triggered. I felt like my truck was pulled back when that happened. That is a bit dangerous to drive. I dont see any damages under my truck. Can you escalate the issue to the Nissan and the local service that they should take a look at and take care of it? The truck has plenty of problems and it is only two years old. My old Nissan car almost had no issues and ran hundreds of thousands miles. [XXX] -- INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The engine crankshaft failed and broke in half while driving. I was driving on the New Jersey turnpike on cruise control with a trailer and a mower and all of a sudden the motor is making [XXX] noises and I lose engine power completely. This is a huge defective part and one of the main components of a motor that should not fail and break in half like it did. It’s a major catastrophic failure that should be resolved with a recall. The danger and risk that involves this issue is ridiculous and it should be resolved immediately. I have kept up on my services like I should the truck has been well taken care of. After research I have seen there has been alot of people with the same issue with very low miles. Even with higher miles this issue should not happen. The cost of this repair is outrageous no vehicle owner should pay that on their own specially when they still owe a lot of money on the vehicle. There were no fatalities in my incident but there could have been and it could have been bad. The manufacturer needs to take responsibility with this issue and fix it and prevent future incidents and hopefully save a life if it occurs. Vehicle stalled earlier in the day and displayed Service AT. Symptoms included loss of power, fluctuating service lights, but no DTC codes. Shortly after powering off and starting vehicle functioned as intended with slight smoke when activating ac. Vehicle stalled again later within the day, experiencing immediate loss of power with smoke emitting from the engine bay sides. Electrical system began to flash indicating malfunctioning with darker smoke indicating flame intensity. Vehicle was coasted to a safe location away from personal property and other vehicles to ensure safety of surrounding area. Fire Department was contacted as soon as possible after exiting the vehicle and removing as many personal belongings as possible. Truck was engulfed in flames and was unable to be salvaged. Total loss.

The truck was parked on hill and as I unlocked it, it rolled down 2 blocks. Hit a brick wall and finally went into a yard and hit a parked car. This is the second time this truck has rolled down. First time, I was able to catch it but this time I couldn’t. It was horrific to witness.
