SummarySome 2025 Transit vehicles with gasoline or flex fuel engines may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0773 and/or P097E stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). These vehicles may also exhibit various other powertrain related DTCs setting in the PCM. This may be due to pushed out pins and/or poor terminal crimping at connector C1280. Refer to Wiring Diagram Cell 30-5 for location information.

SummaryCertain 2024 Model Year Transit Electric Vehicles High Voltage Battery Array Inspection and Replacement On the affected vehicles, incomplete sealing of a cell in the high voltage battery may have occurred during the manufacturing process. Incomplete sealing of a high voltage battery cell may lead to an electrolyte leak, resulting in an isolation fault or low battery module voltage condition. Initially, the operator may observe a wrench light and will not experience any change to drivability. Over time, the condition may progress to a no-start condition, or reduced power with wrench and turtle warning lights. Eventually, the operator may experience a “Stop Safely Now” message followed by a loss of propulsion

SummarySome 2022-2025 Transit vehicles may experience an unsuccessful programmable module installation (PMI) on the body control module (BCM) using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) diagnostic tool. This may be due to a software to hardware correlation issue. This correlation issue has been fixed on the Ford servers. To correct this condition, download and run the "BCM-Body Control Module Installation (PMI)" application using the FDRS scan tool. If the PMI fails with an error stating "check valid application failed" and the self test shows the BCM responds negatively (purple color coding), replace the BCM with service part number NK4Z-15604-E or NK4Z-15604-F. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-10. For claiming, use causal part 15604 and labor operation numbers 12651D and 12651D4 if BCM replacement was not required, 12651D and 12651D5 if BCM replacement was required.

SummarySome 2021-2025 Ford/ Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC4 may not be able to perform an update to the accessory protocol interface module (APIM). This may be due to the software in the APIM. Ford Engineering has de-activated the ability to update these SYNC4 APIM modules as applicable, and the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) will not present an update for the APIM module. Some existing directed repairs may be impacted, check Professional Technician System (PTS) before attempting any specific technical service bulletin (TSB)/special service message (SSM) and check field service action (FSA) landing pages before attempting any FSA repairs. For any vehicle repairs requiring a software update that includes an APIM update in the programming sequence, if the 5-digit product code for the APIM software is equal to or lower than 23187, do not attempt to update affected modules at this time. To determine the 5-digit product code for the APIM software on the vehicle, while the vehicle center display screen is powered up with ignition in run or accessory, go to Settings > General > About SYNC.

SummarySome 2022-2025 Transit vehicles equipped with a 360 degree camera may exhibit one camera display inoperative with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B12BE:31, B148E:31, B12BF:31 and B115E:31 stored in the image processing module B (IPMB). These DTCs will set when only one camera has the condition. Replacement and/or reprogramming of the IPMB will not resolve this condition. To properly identify which camera/circuit has the condition and requires repair, visually confirm which camera display is inoperative (grayed out/blank/blue). If the condition is intermittent, interview the customer to find out more details and/or review the DTCs stored in the IPMB. The DTC with a status byte of 2F (example: B12BF:31:2F) indicates which camera/circuit has the condition. Repair as necessary. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 413-13C.
