Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024-2026 Mustang vehicles. The engine compartment wiring harness ground connections may fracture and result in a loss of drive power, or a loss of function in the windshield washing system, headlights, air conditioning, or engine cooling fan. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment," and 104, "Windshield Wiping and Washing Systems."
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024-2026 Mustang and 2025-2026 Mustang GTD vehicles. During certain cold temperature conditions, the windshield wipers may function only at their high-speed setting and the washing system may fail to function properly.
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Mustang, and Mustang GTD vehicles. Water may enter the body control module and cause a loss of communication with the exterior lighting, including the license plate light, side marker, and tail lights. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling one 2024 Mustang vehicle that was repaired incorrectly under recall 24V802. The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) may not illuminate at startup or while driving. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 101, "Control and Displays" and 102, "Transmission shift lever sequence, starter interlock, and transmission braking effect."
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Bronco, F-150, 2021-2024 Edge, 2022-2025 Escape, F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, F-600, 2022-2024 Expedition, 2022-2025 Transit, 2021-2023 Mach-E, 2024 Ranger, Mustang, 2021-2023 Lincoln Nautilus, 2022-2024 Navigator, and 2023-2024 Corsair vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera image to delay, freeze, or not display when the vehicle is in reverse.

I own a 2024 Ford Mustang (VIN above) subject to safety recall 26V547 / Ford 26C40 for engine wiring-harness ground eyelets that can fracture and cause loss of motive power. As of Oct 10, 2026, Ford's VIN lookup still shows the recall incomplete with no remedy or parts available and no dealer able to schedule the repair. Ford anticipates parts around Dec 21, 2026, while NHTSA's filing points to remedy owner letters around March 2027 — months after the Aug 25, 2026 campaign. I attempted to open a Ford Customer Relationship Center case via Ford's online chat on Oct 9 (evening) and again Oct 10, 2026 at 9:21 AM ET; both times only an AI assistant responded, live agents were unavailable, and no case number was issued. The vehicle is unlisted from rental use until the safety repair is completed, resulting in documented loss of use (about $3,276 in 2026 rental earnings before the grounding, roughly $150 per trip). I am reporting the extended remedy delay and requesting NHTSA record it; I am separately pursuing a case number, written remedy timeline, and goodwill/loss-of-use review with Ford CRC by phone at 1-800-392-3673.

COMPONENT / SYSTEM FAILED: The Electronic Power Steering Assist / Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) and vehicle electrical ground system failed. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. RISK TO SAFETY & NEAR-MISS INCIDENT: While driving on the highway at 62 mph in light rain, the electronic power steering assist cut out completely without warning. The steering wheel instantly became extremely stiff and heavy, giving the immediate sensation of locked steering. Because power assist cut out without warning, the vehicle drifted toward a concrete side wall and adjacent highway lanes with heavy semi-truck traffic. I had to exert significant manual force to keep the car straight, gradually decelerate, and bring the vehicle to a safe stop. This failure created an imminent risk of a high-speed rollover or collision with surrounding tractor-trailers. DIAGNOSIS & INSPECTION STATUS: The incident occurred over the weekend on October 10, 2026, while the dealership service center was closed. The vehicle has not yet been inspected or reproduced by a dealer, service center, or law enforcement, but will be presented to the dealer as soon as they open. WARNING SYMPTOMS & TIMING: There were no warning lamps, messages, chime alerts, or steering symptoms prior to the sudden failure. The failure occurred abruptly at highway speed.

My car would not start so I had it towed to the Ford Dealership where I bought the car - The car would not start even though the battery had power - it also had a burning wire smell which is consistent with the recall The dealer has not looked at the car since it was towed to them on 9/3/26

2024 Ford Mustang has shown severe defects since September of 2025. Vehicle has been in and out of shop every month since first incident of vehicle going completely dead without cause or warning. Vehicle has since produced escalating engine misfires, loss of acceleration while driving on highway, and occasional antifreeze seeping through a/c vents on startup. Dash has started to glitch upon startup as well and fuel economy has dropped 7mpg in one month. Every Ford dealership I have went to for repairs, except for Town and Country Ford, has told me, "there's no issue with your vehicle". After a year of issues that are getting worse, and trying to receive answers from my Ford case manager, I went to check on any recalls myself and found there is a recall for my vehicle that has no remedy until December 21st, 2026. Ford case manager did not inform me of any recalls, my Ford app does not display any active recalls, and no dealership has made me aware either. When asked why I didn't receive a letter of notice, Ford Motor Company said, "it got lost in the mail I suppose and we can't send it again". My vehicle is getting increasingly worse and it can not remain in current condition for another 3 months.
