Since the 68C Recall software update was performed on my Jeep, the vehicle has experienced recurring, unexpected losses of motive power while driving in Electric Mode. During these events, pressing the accelerator yields no response. Moments later, an "Electric Mode Unavailable" warning displays, followed by the gasoline engine starting and causing the vehicle to surge forward. This phenomenon occurs unpredictably—typically when the hybrid battery charge drops below 45–50%—and has occurred twice in the past week alone, nearly causing a rear-end collision each time. I previously submitted the vehicle to the dealership for repair, but no corrective action was taken. The dealership advised that the vehicle operates normally according to post-recall software parameters designed to prevent battery overheating. However, forcing an unprompted loss of motive power in active traffic creates a critical safety hazard.

My jeep has been in the shop MULTIPLE times for a check engine light. Approximately 7-8 times. I've always been told, it's just giving 2-3 different codes and it's nothing to worry about. About a month ago, I was driving my Jeep and it just stopped running. I was sitting in the middle of a very busy intersection. I could not put it in natural to push it to the side of the road, I couldn't get it started, it was just doing nothing. For approximately 45 mins It sat in the middle of an intersection with people yelling at me, beeping at me, etc... When my wife arrived to help me get my stuff out of the vehicle, I tried it one more time and it started up. I then drove it immediately to the dealership. Every light on the dashboard was lit up and the engine was revving like a lawn mower. Got it to the dealership AGAIN was told the whole EV battery needed to be replaced. It's a 2024 Wrangler 4XE with around 15,000 miles on it. I think it's been in the shop longer than I've actually driven it the past couple of year. I will never buy another Jeep product.
