Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Car and Problems ("we", "us", the "Site") collects, uses, and shares personal information. It covers the disclosure requirements of Google AdSense, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and Türkiye's KVKK.

1. What we collect

Car and Problems does not offer user accounts. We may process:

• Technical log data: browser user-agent, truncated IP address, URL, HTTP status, referrer. Retained as standard server logs for a maximum of 30 days and then deleted.
• Search queries: the text you type into the on-site search (e.g. "2022 Audi e-tron"). Never tied to your identity; used only to compute aggregate statistics about which vehicles users look up.
• Contact requests: the contents of any email you send to [email protected], retained as long as needed to resolve the request and then deleted.

2. Purposes and legal basis (GDPR)

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Strictly necessary

Language, theme, GDPR consent record. Run without opt-in; the site does not function without them.

Analytics

Anonymous page-view counts. Not set without GDPR/ePrivacy consent.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

When Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its partners may set cookies and similar technologies to serve, personalize, and measure ads. See the Google partner-site privacy notice. Opt out of personalized ads via Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info/choices.

4. Third parties

• Google LLC (AdSense, reCAPTCHA): ad serving and form security.
• Cloudflare: DDoS protection and CDN.

We do not sell personal information, nor do we share it for cross-context behavioral advertising outside these processors.

5. International transfers

Our infrastructure is located in Türkiye and Germany. AdSense and similar services may transfer data to the United States under Google's Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Children's privacy

Car and Problems is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from this age group.

If this notice changes we will update the effective date and post a notice on the homepage.
