We had a recent recall completed for the hybrid battery/charging sytem where a software update was all that was required. Two weeks after a recall for the hybrid battery/charging system was completed, while traveling, we had a loss of power at 70mph in heavy traffic, and our vehicle stopped operating. We were able to limp our vehicle to the right shoulder, and was stranded on the side of I-75 south in GA, approximately 200 miles from home. The dash lights began flashing on and off, the various systems began flasing warnings and there was a burning smell of plastic. We discovered one of the electric lines attached to the fuse block in the engine compartment had melted at the terminal junction on the fuse block. This rendered us incapable of moving our vehicle. We had to call for a tow truck to have the vehicle taken to a shop. Our daughter had to come from 6 hours away to pick us up. Currently, 02/20/26, the shop that has our vehicle, is trying to get a replacement fuse block and determine if this is part of the recall that should have fixed our original recall issue.

The 78C recall associated with Jeep Wrangler 4xe's poses a great safety risk to myself, other 4xe owners, and other drivers on the road as it can lead to, "catastrophic engine failure, which can result in a vehicle fire or an unexpected and unrecoverable loss of propulsion." While Stellantis did notify us of this recall, it has already been 3 months since the recall was announced. The initial recall letter stated that the fix was estimated in Q2 of 2026, so another 2-4 months from now, which would be a total of 5-7 months from start to finish. We have not heard any updates on when this remedy may actually come. In my opinion, this is not remedying the issue in a timely manner and it is nerve wracking knowing this could happen whenever I get in my vehicle.

Back on October 10th, 2025, I took the software update related to the A7C recall. On October 11th, my vehicle became totally bricked and undriveable due to this update. I had it towed to a dealership where they supposedly "fixed" it by rolling the software back. However, my recall letter stated that this was not a permanent fix and there currently is none. It has been 4 months since this began and there is STILL no remedy or any updates on when a remedy may be available. This recall poses a dangerous risk for myself, other owners of 4xe's, and other drivers on the road as sudden loss of propulsion can lead to crashes. Submitting this report because while we were notified of this recall, Stellantis has not remedied it in a timely manner.

When running the vehicle in electric mode (and sometimes hybrid), there seems to be an issue with acceleration. When pressing the pedal, the vehicle begins to accelerate until it reaches around 50% power. Once that happens, it either barely accelerates or doesn't at all - even if you are pushing the gas pedal completely to the floor. After a short period of time, the engine kicks on to compensate, but there is of course a delay there and many times causes the vehicle to lurch forward. After taking my vehicle to the dealership twice for this, I was told that although Stellantis is keeping quiet about this, during the 68C recall software flash fix Stellantis installed something into the vehicles to essentially throttle the battery's power. They claim this is to avoid the battery from getting too hot. I was never notified that they would be completely altering the functionality of my vehicle and how it drives - which is inappropriate - and I believe this also poses a safety risk as the loss of propulsion/delay in acceleration and the lurching of the vehicle could cause an accident you're pulling out onto a road or are in traffic. Stellantis is claiming nothing was done to the vehicle and my dealership is now claiming it is functioning as intended, which makes sense because if they DID make this change, it is technically running how they want it to. However, I have had this vehicle for nearly 2 years and it NEVER drove like this before. I have also seen numerous posts and comments from other owners on the NHTSA website, Reddit, Facebook, and various Jeep forums mentioning they are having the EXACT same issues I am having, so I know it is not just my vehicle. This, along with the other recalls that STILL have no resolution is completely unacceptable and Stellantis would rather gaslight us into believing our vehicles are fine instead of owning up to the truth - that they are not.

See attached document. Dear Jeep Customer Care and Chrysler Capital,I am writing to formally request the termination of my current lease agreement for my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, VIN: [XXX], due to the severe safety risk posed by NHTSA Recall 25V-74 l, concerning the high-voltage battery fire hazard.Due to the severity of this unaddressed safety hazard, I am unable to use the vehicle for its intended purpose. This significant safety defect renders inoperable as designed and intended for use, but more importantly the vehicle is unsafe and unsuitable for normal use, as it risks fire while driving or parked as stated in your recall notice.Your own notices further indicate not charge it as designed for normal function.Furthermore, I live in a townhome surrounded by other families now put at risk and cannot safely park this vehicle outside due to the extreme fire risk, making it impractical and unsafe for my living situation. This also puts others at risk when parked in parking structures at the airport that I frequent on a weekly basis. When the same recall occurred in late 2024, I waited for four months without resolution as Jeep developed a remedy. With the new recall, I immediately contacted Jeep customer service, who informed me on December 3, 2025, that no solution is currently available and none is anticipated until late Ql 2026 (as documented during my call with Riana, case #[XXX]).I was advised to contact Chrysler Capital regarding a potential lease suspension due to the seriousness of the recall. At 11am EST, I called Chrysler Capital and spoke with Maren (ID774178). After discussing my living situation and concerns about driving an unsafe vehicle with my [XXX], Maren placed me on hold and subsequently returned to inform me he had obtained approval fornot just a lease suspension, but a full early return with no further financial liability. He recommended that I visit my local dealer promptly to process the early lease return and advised me to discontinue further payments. Before concluding our conversation, I confir

This is a follow-up to NHTSA Complaint Number 11684726, submitted to provide additional information after the dealer diagnosis confirmed the defect. My 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara has experienced a complete Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) failure, which has been diagnosed and confirmed by an authorized Jeep dealership. The instrument cluster remains blank during vehicle operation and is available for inspection upon request. As a result, I cannot view critical safety information including the speedometer, fuel level, warning lamps, turn signals, and other required driver displays. This creates a significant safety risk, as I am unable to monitor vehicle speed or receive warning indicators while driving. The vehicle has also experienced related electronic failures consistent with network communication disruption, including loss of the center infotainment display, radio failure, and HVAC malfunction with the defroster stuck in full operation and unresponsive to controls. Stellantis has declined repair assistance despite dealer confirmation. This failure mode is consistent with Recall 24V-652, which identifies internal instrument cluster failure resulting in blank displays. However, my VIN is not currently included in the recall population. Given the confirmed failure and safety impact, I respectfully request NHTSA review whether additional VIN ranges, including my vehicle, should be included. I have had my transmission in my jeep Wrangler fixed five times it is still barely working. As well as I am having an extremely bad death wobble when I drive, which is very unsafe for me and my son when we are in the vehicle. We have been trying to keep getting it fixed, but it seems like nothing is working. As well as my lights have been going in and out on my dashboard, which is again unsafe during the night. I am afraid for me and my sons safety and we are not wanting to keep driving this vehicle as well it barely passed emissions so I can get my tag for my plates. We are wanting to get something safer for me and my family.

Unsafe Vehicle, Unresolved Mechanical Failures – Serious Safety Concern On [XXX], I purchased a Jeep (VIN: [XXX] ) from Whipple Auto Sales. Since the purchase, the vehicle has experienced repeated mechanical failures that have created serious safety concerns. Approximately two weeks after purchase, the dealership replaced a fuel injector due to performance issues. About one month later, the vehicle began showing sensor codes and experienced sudden power loss while driving. On [XXX] the vehicle completely shut off while I was traveling on the highway, placing my safety at significant risk. The dealership initially stated that the key required reprogramming. However, after keeping the vehicle for approximately one month, they were still unable to repair the issue. The dealership later claimed the problem was related to the powertrain. Without resolving the issue or providing proper notice, they returned the vehicle to my residence in worse condition than when it was left with them. At this time, the vehicle is unsafe and unreliable, and I cannot confidently operate it. This situation demonstrates a lack of proper repair, accountability, and resolution. I am extremely concerned about the safety and reliability of this vehicle and the dealership’s handling of this matter. I am seeking a proper resolution to this issue. Jeep continues to apply bandaids to the high voltage battery system. The latest recall, 68c, is another software fix that doesnt address the root cause, high voltage battery. after the recall, the car drives horrible when in electric mode - engine kicks on all the time, loss of power until you stomp on the accelerator (which then kicks on engine). NHTSA needs to hold Jeep Stellantis accountable for selling an inferior product and take care of the customers who have supported them for the past 5 years until they stopped selling them! there are 320,000 jeeps impacted, lets fix this!!! I will be scheduling service soon, but you cant expect customers to stop our lives to live at the service center. Jeep really needs to start offering a large scale buyback OR fix the issue which would be to replace the battery with new improved updated one that doesnt become a fire risk every year! Thats where the NHTSA should come in to play - which is "dedicated to saving lives, preventing injuries, and reducing economic costs associated with motor vehicle crashes. It achieves this by setting safety standards, investigating defects, issuing recalls"

My vehicle is subject to an open safety recall (NHTSA Recall 25V-741) involving high-voltage battery separator damage that may cause a vehicle fire when parked or charging. The recall has been active on this vehicle for over four months. The manufacturer and dealers have confirmed the recall applies but have not provided a remedy timeline or parts availability. The vehicle is considered unsafe to park near structures or other vehicles and I have been advised to avoid recharging. No repair has been performed. The condition places occupants and others at risk of fire and prevents safe use of the vehicle. I am reporting this because the manufacturer has failed to remedy this safety recall in a timely manner.
