The contact owns a 2023 Gulf Stream Conquest built on a 2022 Chevrolet Express Chassis. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V231000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages, Structure); that was misplaced. The contact stated that the entry door latch had failed, and the door could only be locked or unlocked from the outside. The contact stated that he was physically disabled, and the failure required his wife to exit the RV through the front driver's side door to unlock or to lock the RV entry door. The RV was taken to the local dealer for the recall repair, but the dealer was unable to verify that the RV was covered under the recall. The RV was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 4,000.

The same issue has occurred on my vehicle but the dealership is stating my vehicle is not covered even thought it states it has all the issues stated in this bulletin. N192271200 Charge Air Cooler Disconnect at Throttle Body. The car blows off the hose at the throttle body even after I replace the retainer clip myself. I am now having the dealership repair the hose and clip as it needs both they said. It obviously is a flaw in more vehicles than what they have disclosed. Very unfortunate they do not cover this for all owners in the same year as this series of vehicles.

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:POWER ASSIST:VACUUM, ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:CRANK/CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while exiting the highway at 50 MPH, the brake pedal had hardened and the contact could not depress the brake pedal. Several brake warning messages appeared on the instrument panel. The contact shifted the vehicle into neutral(N) and pulled into a parking lot to allow the vehicle to coast to a stop. Once the vehicle slowed to a complete stop, the contact shut off the vehicle. The vehicle failed to restart after multiple attempts. The contact called a relative to the scene who used a code reader to determine the cause of the failure. The code reader showed that there was a defect with the vehicle's vacuum pump, brake sensor, and intake camshaft position timing. The vehicle's codes were reset and the vehicle restarted; however, the brake failure persisted. Due to the failure, the vehicle was initially towed to the relative's home and eventually to the dealer. The dealer performed a diagnostic where they discovered metal shavings in the engine camshaft which damaged several parts of the engine. The vehicle had yet to be repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to file a complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

No warning lamps. I was 3 quarts low only going 1614 miles from last oil change. Oil consumption , piston rings not correct. No oil leaks just consumes a lot of oil. Low oil made my car stall out while driving. No oil light came on to fill. Piston rings recall , needs replaced. Bought from an individual in July.

excessive Oil Consumption problem- which we were not aware of and it caused our vehicle to shut down in the middle of the street blocking traffic- making it a huge safety issue & should be a recall. Due to the excessive oil consumption that caused our timing chain to break. This is an issue that chevy knew was happening to this year & other years around the same time, but never informed us - now it needs a new engine & they won't replace it. It only has 88,000 miles, we had recently changed the oil & oil filter so this was unexpected.

I'm writing to request an extension of the recall for the Brake Vacuum Pump issue and seek compensation for repairs on my 2018 Chevy Equinox. In November 2023, while exiting [XXX] in Warwick, RI, my brakes failed despite full pressure. I had to steer into the breakdown lane and eventually stopped in a parking lot. At the time, I was nine months pregnant and extremely shaken. After stopping, the vehicle exhibited erratic behavior and not stopping, entering "limp mode." The car was towed to a local mechanic who initially thought the brakes were at fault. It was later diagnosed at Sullivan Tire that a "catastrophic failure of the Brake Vacuum Pump" caused camshaft damage, leading to repair costs of $3,197.17. The mechanic stated this failure was unprecedented for a vehicle with only 64,271 miles. I discovered that a recall for this issue exists but does not cover the 2018 Equinox. Many owners of this model have reported similar problems. Requests: Recall Extension: Please extend the recall to include the 2018 Equinox and other affected models to prevent further incidents. Compensation: I seek reimbursement of $3,197.17 for repairs. I have documentation and faulty parts available for inspection if needed. I have contacted Chevy and they have not been helpful, and this needs to be filed for a full recall. Attached are the repair invoice, proof of faulty parts, and links to related complaints. I look forward to your prompt resolution to prevent future issues for consumers. I still have the damaged parts for proof failure in my possession. POWER TRAIN
When put in drive it does move when gas pedal is pressed for a couple of seconds, and also when I come to a stop and the start ans stop feature activates it stalls as well with the D flashing. The engine light comes on as well.

Was driving (in July) through a parking lot when brakes became hard to push. After stopping car, it would not start and went into battery save mode. Car was towed to Chevy dealership in Paducah, Ky. Vacuum pump was replaced and damage to cam shaft and timing chain. Problem was fixed after about $5800 of repairs. Now 2 months later, was driving and noticed “service brake assist” light came on, and brakes were hard to press. Luckily was at a low speed and able to pull over on the side of the road. Car was towed to the local Chevy dealership in Hopkinsville, ky. It is currently waiting for diagnosis of probably the same issue. first incident happened in July, 2nd was at the end of august.

Water leaks into the rear of the vehicle from The shark fin (I am told from the dealership GM I purchased the car from). It has however now entered into the fuse box and is getting fuses wet which IS a safety issue if they were to short while driving in a rainstorm. This is a major issue with multiple reports online on forums and complaint boards.

I was driving home when I exited the freeway my car turned off on me. I tried to turn it back on since I was in the middle of a busy street it started for under a minute which it gave me enough time to merge jusr a little to the right. After that the car wouldn't start at all. This problem could've been a lot worse if it would've happened while I was on the freeway. My vehicle turned off without any warnings any vehicle would've slammed in to me at high speed if it would've shut down a minute prior to me exiting. I didn't get any warnings/ lights nothing it just turned off on me in the middle of the road. I had to get it towed to Autonation where they detected the Fuel Module was the problem. This item has been out of stock for sometime now. My car is still at a dealership and may be inspected if needed.

The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH, the vehicle went into LIMP Mode and failed to exceed 10 MPH. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an auto repair shop to purchase a diagnostic tool; the diagnostic tool was used to diagnose the vehicle. The diagnostic scan tool determined that the ECM Module, air induction system, and oil pressure system needed to be repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 144,919.

Defective turn signal stalk -- often after I engage the right turn signal and complete a right turn, the left turn signal will flash for approximately three blinks, falsely alerting others in my vicinity that I'm preparing for a left turn or lane change. Additionally, it is often difficult to engage the right turn signal, as the stalk won't stay engaged, making it difficult for me to signal a right turn or lane change.

Was parking and the brake went hard without warning. Using both legs pressing as hard as I could, but the brakes would not work. Had to tow this to a repair shop - No warning light at all. Brought to the shop, they confirmed a faulty vacuum pump that had gone completely bad. Very dangerous!

I bought a new 2014 Chevy Equinox with the base 2.4L engine at David Maus Chevrolet in Sanford Florida My car suffered a sudden, premature engine failure on August 2024. even though we have religiously changed the oil every 3,000 miles My car is at 152000 miles stop working and unfortunately and the engine cost repair is near around $3000. Not including labor. I was told by my mechanic the Equinox has has a recall on burning oil however was 2011 to 2013. Seems as chevrolet still has not fixed this problem. My Vin # was not in a class action suite of recall. I need help for Chevrolet replace the engine on my car
