I have to constantly add oil.I have more frequent oil changes.Panel doesn’t display low oil .Mechanic & several others tell me these cars burn oil faster.Combustion of oil leading to excessive oil consumption & premature wear on engine After putting air in tires,the sensors have to be reset & they say I have to go to a dealer

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 MPH, the vehicle stalled and failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, who diagnosed that the fuel pump was faulty and needed to be replaced. The fuel pump was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the failure recently reoccurred while accelerating from a stoplight. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer and was diagnosed with fa uel pump failure. The contact was informed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V013000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). The contact owned a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that the vehicle was consuming 5 quarts of oil for every 2,000 miles driven. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where an oil consumption test was performed, and the dealer confirmed that the vehicle was experiencing an excessive oil consumption. Additionally, the contact stated that upon starting the vehicle and while driving, the engine made abnormal metallic and banging sounds. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the engine was replaced at the contact's expense. However, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the engine was replaced twice under warranty. The contact stated that the vehicle seemed to be repaired; however, the vehicle was involved in a crash and was totaled. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.

I have a leak somewhere inside the car. Every time it rains I have water under the cargo area, that I have to vacuum water out. ( where the spare tire is) I don't know where its coming in at. I don't feel like vehicles that cost as much as they do should have major problems like this and now because of this my moon roof no longer works. Thank you for your time

SERVICE BRAKES, ENGINE
Vehicle brakes became hard and failed to stop, check engine light came on and warning saying reduced engine power. Vacuum pump seized and broke off in the crankshaft. After vacuum pump replacement vehicle failed to start multiple times. Vehicle started and had rough idle and stalled multiple times. Currently awaiting dealer inspection.

The vacuum pump went out on the car while I was on I-70 in a rain storm construction traffic… I absolutely had no brakes they were so hard to push… I was stuck I almost crashed this crappy designed car… The brake light engine light came on.. I barely made it to the side of the highway… Now my engine is messed up cause of some faulty brake pump… What kinda silly design is this… I could have died out there on that highway.. I was on the way to the airport and I missed my flight… GM needs to get their stuff together on this they’re going to kill somebody….

STEERING
My son was driving when the steering "locked" into one position which caused him to leave the interstate, cross the median, across oncoming traffic and roll the vehicle three times. He suffered a lower back injury and his passenger only encountered minor cuts. We were not aware of any issues at the time. We did not have the vehicle inspected after the crash. No warnings or prior warnings were displayed by the car.

ENGINE
This 2010 Chevy Equinox has the 2.4 liter motor that is recalled in similar vehicles by Chevrolet due to the piston rings having “blow by”. We have had to carry a quart of oil because of the constant consumption of oil, which led to the catalytic converter getting clogged. Most recently while traveling to Denver cylinder 3 lost compression and put the vehicle into “limp mode” on [XXX] (XXX) with traffic traveling at 75MPH and our car doing 20 MPH trying to exit. I spoke to Chevy customer service several years ago and was told “Yes we know the issue however your VIN isn’t part of our recall, we’ve satisfied the NHTSB call for action”. In my research loss of compression due to “blow by” can be direct correlation to engine failure. Oil was checked as I always do before any road trip, no engine lights or warning signs were present, we were 210 miles from home when this happened, and had to rent a car to continue our trip to Denver and return home to retrieve a truck and trailer to pick up our broken down vehicle located in Silverthorne. FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
My fuel pump just gave out randomly while driving on the highway. Unable to drive over 14mph. I head other 2018 Equinox’s experienced this problem often. I believe my vehicle should be included as well. In the past I’ve also gotten a random alert that my forward collision was disabled while driving on the highway with no warning. It always goes away on its own.

While I was driving the Engine reduce power came on. I was currently doing 75 miles and the truck dropped down to 55 miles per hour. I took it to the Chevrolet place and it needed a fuel pump , and I was advised that this has been a common issue for the Chevrolet Equinox vehicles , and my vehicle is practically brand new. This issue needs to looked into because the is dangerous and a-lot of dealerships are stating this is a common issue.
