I am writing to bring to your urgent attention a troubling issue I've encountered with my recently leased 2024 VW Taos, which I obtained in March 2024. This vehicle was meant to be a birthday gift to myself, a gesture of personal and professional advancement as I pursue my career as a home inspector. However, since the day I drove off the lot, I have been faced with a persistent and potentially hazardous problem: the CarPlay Apple Play GPS system has been malfunctioning, redirecting with every single use. I took immediate action by returning to the Volkswagen shop services, expecting a prompt resolution. To my dismay, I was met with a disheartening response. The technicians informed me that they were unable to rectify the situation, attributing the issue to my carrier cell tower and the vehicle system. Such a dismissive response not only fails to address the severity of the problem but also disregards the fundamental purpose of a vehicle's navigation system: to ensure safe and efficient travel. As a black man working in a demanding profession such as home inspection, the reliability of my vehicle's GPS system is paramount to my safety. Being redirected unexpectedly due to a GPS malfunction poses not only inconvenience but also potential danger, particularly in unfamiliar areas. Furthermore, as a consumer, it is deeply unsettling to pay for a vehicle that falls short of basic expectations in terms of functionality and reliability. The response from Dick Hannah VW shop service, stating that they cannot address this issue, is wholly unacceptable. As the manufacturer of the vehicle, they bear the responsibility of ensuring that their products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. To dismiss a critical issue such as a malfunctioning GPS system as beyond their control is not only irresponsible but also undermines the trust and confidence of consumers.

My 2024 S AWD VW Taos has a serious lag when I need to speed up fast. The car does not go at all if I try to accelerate quickly and has almost caused many accidents. I have needed to quickly get out of the way of other drivers who were not paying attention and tried to accelerate quickly only to have my car not go anywhere. I am afraid to let my children drive this vehicle or even ride with me due to the fact that i cant count on it to work when i need to drive defensively.

I was at a light with the car on and in drive. The light turned green and I pressed on the gas and the vehicle was unresponsive. I confirmed that the vehicle was turned on and actively in drive -- but when I pressed on the gas to accelerate, it wouldn't move. I had to turn the car off and on again for it to restart. I was in traffic with people behind me, unable to control my vehicle. And my child was in the car.

The contact owns a 2023 Volkswagen Taos equipped with Kumho Tires, Tire Line: Crugen HP71, Tire Size: 215/55/R18, DOT Number: [XXX]. The contact stated that the TPMS warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer and the warning light was reset. The contact stated that the failure had reoccurred. The contact stated that the tires were defective; however, the dealer refused to replace the tires. The tire manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The tire failure mileage was unknown. 2022, Volkswagen Taos VIN: [XXX] Dealer Servicing:Nailey Volkswagen, 1550 Mansell Road, Alpharetta, GA 3009 We have owned this vehicle since [XXX]/2022 and I’m starting to regret buying it. We have had a ton of random things gone wrong with this vehicle, like Fluids Leak, Faulty Cylinder Head Gasket, Coolant Leak, Check Engine Light ON doesn’t function sometimes. This Car stayed with Dealer Service Center more than in my drive way. We are completely fed up with this car., and we are totally concerned and scared as my son drives this car., with all the mechanical issues I am seeing, it’s really getting worried of his security with this car. Overall, the car was with the DEALER is 7+ Months in the last 21 Months I own this car. I’m super annoyed with this whole situation. Today I dropped it off again, after receiving the car just 5 days ago from OIL CHANGE and I see Check Engine Light ON…. Dealer don’t have LOANER CAR to support my son job and his classes during summer. Moreover, I am not comfortable taking the car back… you guys rather buy this back… or get a more stable model for my son…. We cannot accept this car anymore…. 1. car is unsafe starting from a stop and after slowing down to accelerate out of a turn. in both instances there is a significant lack of response w/ the accelerator where it won't actually respond until there's about 2-3k RPMs. this makes it extremely dangerous at intersections because you can't trust that it will accelerate in a responsive manner. many times, the car will respond as if you've dropped the clutch on a manual transmission - jerking around like a 15YO learning to drive a stick. The problem has not been confirmed by dealer - they were supposed to review at our 1st year maintenance but didn't then wanted to charge me to come back. It has not been inspected by others. There are no warning lights. 2. The coolant level on car consistently drops despite low mileage (1st time was around 9k) and less than a year old. It's a risk because it may be a head gasket or engine issue. The dealer did not find anything, but it continues to go through coolant. Advised to keep an eye on it. 🙄 Not inspected by others. Yes low coolant warning light - first appeared multiple times around 9k.

Car has 11,144. Took it in for coolant issues had NY State Inspection done. Was told rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced at the cost of1000.00 dollars. I need to check fronts in 6 months. I use the car mostly to see my daughter and granddaughter in Ct. mostly highway driving. I went on line and found a lot of customers are having the same problem. This is my third VW LEASE I never had a problem with brakes. I was upset that this is a problem for a lot of people. I also have a check engine check coolant problem. This will be the sixth time I am bringing the car in. They are keeping my car with no loaner for a week to replace the head gasket. I have a baby shower on Long Island for my niece and will have to pay hundreds of dollars for a rental or Uber. I am disabled and live on a thousand dollars a month.

The contact owns a 2022 Volkswagen Taos. The contact stated while driving 30-40 MPH, the Electronic Power Control (EPC) warning light illuminated, and the vehicle was sputtering while driving. The contact was able to drive to the residence. The contact stated that upon scanning the vehicle with a scanner, diagnostic codes indicating an EPC and throttle body failure were retrieved. Additionally, the scanner retrieved the recall alert of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V214000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included. The dealer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to take the vehicle to their location for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 52,382.

Rear brakes wore so rapidly they were deemed unsafe for driving by state inspection, down to under 2mm in a year. Volkswagen knew it was an issue and extended the warranty, but put such limitations on when they would cover the warranty they caused customers to drive on unsafe rear brakes before they would consider coverage.

Within weeks of leading car, EPC light flashing, check engine light, limp mode from 55 to about 30. I bought it to dealer said fixed. A few months later again, brought it to another dealer fixed it, said don’t use eco mode and high tier gas. It was fine for a few months did it again two days ago. I shut the engine off and turned it on was fine. VW HQ said no new car. They will keep trying to fix it. Dealer won’t change it. Dealer wants me to bring it in again….They will try something else. I explained to dealer and VWHQ this is very dangerous. Previous incident 11/2023, previous incident shortly after leasing the car. Each time told it was fixed and not.

ABS, Tire Pressure monitor system, front/rear/side assist warning lights lit up while driving solid yellow indicating there was an error. Also a start stop error light on. Stayed lit for one minute and then they all went away. This is now happening every day for the past three days. Today the steering light turn on as well and had difficulty with steering the wheel for about 30 seconds. These incidents occurred after turning the car on after it had been parked for 5 hours. Then while driving at 30-40 mph.

my taos is been on the shop several times for a check engine light and it works for a couple of months and the light comes back on according to the dealer ship it is an evap sensor that keeps failing the power train it not at 100% it can cause an accident I was traying to do a buy back but the company said that NO my car it been on the shop at least 5 times for the same problem. Please HELP.
