- #11649932March 22, 2025AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Lights flash, air bag flashes, seat belt flashes, vehicle startles to start, the electrical system is completely torn apart, the diesel fuel system is not functioning and running properly due to a missing filter, the transmission is a stalling when accelerating, vehicle barely stops, incomplete inspection was not performed, the commercial insurance on the vehicle is expired, registration expired, poses a huge risk to all motorists on the road, vehicle travels all over the United States from Indiana, to Kentucky, to Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, where it was manufactured [XXX] with FCA US LLC as an incomplete vehicle, from Mexico. Not safe on the road at all, no clue if the vehicle actually has air bags, etc. In the open cab, there are two- cylinder tanks, one with a label showing Linde Gas and Equipment (UN1001) located within/on the back of a truck/vehicle seeming to be improperly stored and the smaller cylinder tank (UN1001) is not vertical and angled, held on by a fabric strap, side by side with the other cylinder tank, with welding, electrical, and other equipment around them. Used to long distance travel from Indiana to Kentucky without proper registration, expired tags, and constantly causing problems with all electrical components, brakes, ABS system, 4x4 not running right, deft tank always empty, bc of the modifications done to it, no stack to release exhaust, vehicle lags, it’s completely just an incomplete and a hazard to every single person on the road. At any time the vehicle will and can shut off and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop it. Let alone the air bag issues. It’s a huge huge safety issue. Please listen and read this. I care about others on the road. Being a victim of a head on collision, I take safety very seriously. Vehicle backed into a Chrysler town and country & caused major damage to the van, bc the break slipped on the dodge ram 3500. No air bags deployed. I’m not the owner I personally know the driver. - #11649373March 20, 2025SEAT BELTS
The rear driver’s side and rear center seat belts no longer latch. When sliding the belt into the recepticle it fails to “click” or connect. The belt pulls right back out. It does not work at all, it is reproducible every time. The dealer will charge a lot of money to say that they ran diagnostics to tell me what is obvious, so I have not brought it in yet. This is a serious safety risk since the law requires passengers to wear seat belts for safety reasons and this basic safety equipment fails. The vehicle is less than 4 years old and the rear belts have not been used all the time as there were not always passengers. Also, there is no damage to them. I would like it fixed asap and believe the equipment is faulty since two of the three rear belts have failed.

Trailer brake controler will report not connected when it is connected correctly. Systemm was tested and everything on the trailer is working properly. system was working corretly and suddenly stopped when on the interstate. Have had multiple shops look at the issue and no one can locate the issue. The radio/infotanment system will also disconnect radomly. Both act like a wire is lose. disconnect then reconnect and disconnect and reconnect, over and over. The radio disconnecting from the phone is an issue however not a safety concern like the trailer brake issue is. When I am pulling a 16,000 pound camper and the trailer brake stops that means I no longer have traler brakes and that can be an issue when stopping.

On March 3rd, This dealership replaced the stop sale safety recall on our Commercial vehicle (C4B) with a part that was not created for our truck. This resulted in hydraulic brake fluid spewing out of the HCU all over significant areas under the hood, including the ABS Module and wiring. Upon realizing the HCU was spewing hydraulic brake fluid, we brought the truck back on March 7th, and again, the dealership replaced the HCU with the incorrect part (but assuring us it was the actual part for this specific recall) and Sam (service advisor) told us they would also be replacing the ABS Module and the wiring associated, as the ABS module had also been recently replaced and was still covered under warranty. When we received the car back, Sam (service advisor) explained that they would like the truck back at a later date to replace the wiring - that they have already replaced the ABS module so we will still see the ABS light, but only because the wiring needs to be redone. We picked up our truck on Friday March 8th, and when my fiancé began his route on [XXX] with his trailer attached, he made it about 20 miles before his truck completely shut down mid-drive while on a busy road- forcing him to have to coast over a 4 lane roadway and into a ditch avoiding collision of oncoming traffic with his trailer and equipment attached. We discovered that the mechanics had fraudulently replaced our HCU with another trucks HCU and had to force the recall through Mopar's reimbursement process, as it was rejected multiple times because the remedy is not currently available therefore unable to be completed. I have attached the full story in a PDF document for further information. Phone: [XXX] Email: [XXX] contact me for any information you may need in addition to this. ABS is not working and no part is available. Towing an RV without trailer brakes is dangerous. The ABS malfunctions at random and we never know when this will happen. ABS control deactivates traction control, as well as trailer breaks, and effects transmission functions as well.

The ABS system has deactivated along with traction control and all the lights are on the dash with a message that says service electronic brakes system. Stellantis claims that I am not included in the recall even though my model year and model match others being recalled and the part needed to complete the repair is the one that is being redesigned because the original one is faulty. Please help!

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated while at a complete stop at a stop sign, the front brakes seized. The ABS warning light was illuminated, and a message to service the ABS was displayed. The contact noticed smoke coming from the front end of the vehicle and pulled into the parking lot of Les Schwab Tire Center, where the vehicle was test-driven, and the contact was informed that the front brakes had seized and were overheating. The mechanic determined that the front rotors, calipers, and brake lines needed to be replaced due to the excessive heat damage. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred while driving. The local dealer was contacted and informed the contact that the failure was related to the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. P2609 check engine code for a component in the diesel fuel intake chamber. The relay failed, melted a bolt and attached nut that fell into the intake manifold. The part then traveled into piston cylinder destroying the valves and the engine. The truck then is powerless on the roadway. This is a known issue for all Ram diesel’s manufactured 2007-2024. This should be a major recall and Ram has done nothing for vehicles out of warranty. Please help.

I was driving in dense traffic at 55mph. The rear window suddenly, and without warning, exploded. Glass shards peppered my wife’s and my back neck. The window is protected by a headache rack (see pictures). My thought is the glass is improperly made, in that it should not explode; or improperly factory installed.
