I noticed that my gear shift lever was loose. I removed the boot of the shifter and found the 10mm bolt holding the shifter in place finger tight. It definitely would have fell out in a short period of time leaving the driver unable to shift into park or into any other gear. This could have been a very dangerous situation. I tightened the bolt and reinstalled the boot.

All left rear wheel studs sheared off while traveling at 70mph 325 miles from home. This catastrophic failure was the direct result of recall Y26 not being preformed by Chrysler Corporation. This unsafe condition placed me and others on the highway in an extremely dangerous situation. When I was first notified of this recall I went to the dealer where I purchased the truck and was told the parts were on back order and they would notify me when the parts came in. That was in 2020. Since then I have been to three different dealers who told me the same thing. Parts never came in. Now my truck is disabled far from home and the dealer is telling me that he has only one out of four kits necessary to complete the recall. The other kits are back ordered with not date of expected arrival. I asked if that meant a week, month, or what time frame and his reply was he did not know. He did state that he didn’t expect them this year! I was stranded 325 miles from home, had to sleep along side the busy Highway with cars and semi trucks whizzing by me less than 10 feet away all. Ight and half of the next day.

ABS System Component Failure: My 2017 RAM 3500 truck was diagnosed with a failed ABS pump motor on XXX, the pump was replaced per dealer procedure and since the code did not clear the procedure was to replace the ABS Control Module. I was advised at the time that ABS Module was not availble at any of the RAM dealers in the [XXX] and a warranty recall was pending. On XXX I was advised the recalled part was in stock for installation. On XXX, the HCU (Hydraulic Contol Unit) pump was installed, however the ABS system still has an active fault code C2200-49, indicating a defective ABS control module, which is bolted directly to the HCU. The dealer will not replace the ABS module under the terms of the recall, and the replacement part is still on restriction through the STAR Center. It is my opinion that driving for 2 years with a failed HCU caused damage to the ABS module and needs to be included in the C4B recall. Bottom line the truck is still not safe to drive without Traction Control and ABS Brake Control. I have a case pending with a FCA Level 2 manager to get this part expedited and cost coverd by FCA. Your help would be greatly appreciated. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

There was a Recall C4B/NHTSA 24V-896 on my 2018 Ram 3500 truck back in 2024. The part HCU/ABS unit that was recalled went out on my truck on or about 6/23/2025. Went to dealership on 6/25/2025 they told me that they have an old model part NOT the new updated recall part in stock. Due to safety concerns, I agreed for them to fix my truck, and they explained to me that FCA US LLC would reimburse me the cost, which I did receive the cost back. I have on many different occasions emailed them through their web site asking to be notified about the replacement part for my truck, when available. I have never received any notice until 10/19/2026 stating that my truck has been fixed as of 9/28/2026 and there was nothing else I needed to do. After first call with FCA recall center, they said that my truck was fixed according to their service records. I told them that the new replacement part was never installed and that someone made an error on their end. After talking with them I told them I wanted this escalated to someone higher up. A supervisor called me today 10/21/2026 and basically said the same thing that according to their system, part was fixed. The invoice that I submitted to them for the reimbursement says that the recalled NEW replacement part was not available on 6/25/2025. I have all the documents needed to prove that the parts were never changed with the updated part. I asked them to show me documentation on what dealership said my part was fixed, they said I would have to talk to my dealership, so I did twice with Opelika Ram dealership and they have no record other than the old part being put on 6/25/2025. FCA recall center refused to give me any document or tell me who closed out this recall C4B/NHTSA 24V-896. They however said that they would give me a 2-year warranty on the old part starting on 9/28/2026; it took 7 years for the original part to go bad. My truck is still a safety concern because this Hydraulic Control Unit /ABS can go out at any time.

ONLY 1,800 MI. I continue to experience ongoing issues with this truck, despite having just received it back from the dealership two weeks ago following repairs related to a rear pinon gear. the truck is now back in the service department for concerns involving the front differential. Given the repeated drivetrain issues, I am increasingly concerned about the safety and reliability of this vehicle, particularly the possibility of a catastrophic mechanical failure while traveling at highway speeds that could result in loss of control. These ongoing problems have significantly undermined my confidence in the vehicle's safety and dependability. At this point, I am concerned not only about the continued mechanical problems but also about the potential risks to my safety and the safety of others on the road. I believe these concerns warrant serious attention and a resolution as soon as possible.

I have replaced my rear hubs on my Dodge 2018 Dodge ram Dooley Numerous times (and have multiple documents so far over 9K) because my brakes on the driver side rear tires, always grind even though I’ve replaced everything. I even got in an accident because the break went out! It keeps happening, I get it fixed at a Dodge dealership and they start grinding and I have to stop driving it, tow it and get everyone done again.

The contact owns a 2013 Ram 3500. The contact stated that the vehicle became uncontrollable and was difficult to maneuver while driving on the road. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where the contact was informed that the part was to repair the vehicle was on back order. While driving approximately 45 MPH, the vehicle crashed into a ditch caused by a failure with the drag link. The contact stated that the shift interlock was fractured, causing the gear shifter to detach while the vehicle was driven. The vehicle became stuck in park(P). The vehicle was towed to a mechanic and was repaired with an aftermarket part. The contact stated that the dealer had not repaired the vehicle causing the failure. The customer care department was contacted but was unable to assist with the dealer. The contact was concerned that the aftermarket part might not meet the OE standards. The approximate failure mileage was 155,000.

On [XXX], I was involved in a serious collision while operating a 2019 Ram 3500 Laramie Crew Cab dually in California. I was traveling westbound when another vehicle traveling northbound failed to stop at a posted stop sign and entered my path. I applied my brakes but was unable to avoid colliding with the passenger side of the other vehicle. Following the collision, both vehicles left the roadway and entered an orchard. My truck sustained extensive damage and was subsequently declared a total loss. Despite the severity of the collision, none of the airbags deployed. I am concerned that the supplemental restraint system may not have operated as designed, potentially increasing my risk of injury. I sought medical evaluation at an emergency department the following day. I also maintained a paid subscription to the vehicle's connected emergency assistance services. I expected the vehicle to initiate an automatic emergency notification following a serious collision, but to my knowledge, no automatic emergency call was initiated. I did not manually activate the SOS button. I am concerned that the automatic collision notification system may not have functioned as intended, potentially delaying emergency assistance. Whether the impact met the manufacturer's airbag deployment thresholds, and whether the vehicle was equipped and configured to initiate automatic emergency assistance under these circumstances, remains UNKNOWN. The vehicle is currently at a collision repair facility and has been requested to be preserved for independent inspection. The vehicle has been evaluated for collision damage, but no independent technical examination has yet confirmed or ruled out a defect in the supplemental restraint system or emergency notification system. Whether any relevant diagnostic trouble codes, warning messages, or stored crash data exist is UNKNOWN. No pre-collision warning symptoms have been established. - #11769446October 6, 2026ENGINE, STEERING, SUSPENSION
I own a 2015 Ram 3500 equipped with the 6.7L Cummins diesel engine. An authorized Ram dealership diagnosed an engine oil leak originating from the timing gear housing-to-engine block/cylinder block gasket. The leak has progressed beyond minor seepage. Engine oil is traveling down onto the chassis/track bar area and is leaving drops on the ground. The dealer estimated the repair at approximately $4,000 because of the extensive labor required to access and reseal the timing gear housing. My concern is that an engine oil leak from this sealed housing may worsen over time and could potentially result in significant oil loss, contamination of nearby chassis components, or oil reaching hot engine/exhaust components depending on the path and severity of the leak. FCA/Stellantis has previously issued technical communications concerning oil leakage from the timing gear housing gasket. STAR Online Case [XXX], titled “Oil Leak From The Front Timing Gear Housing Gasket,” instructed dealership technicians to document the leak location, photograph the condition, and measure the breakaway torque of the timing gear housing retaining bolts. FCA also issued later engineering communications involving the rear gear housing/timing case gasket on later Ram 6.7L diesel trucks, including requests to document loose housing bolts and retain removed bolts for engineering analysis. I am submitting this complaint because I believe this may represent a recurring engine oil leakage condition involving the timing gear housing on Ram heavy-duty trucks equipped with the 6.7L Cummins diesel engine. I am requesting that NHTSA review owner complaints and manufacturer technical communications to determine whether this condition presents a broader safety-related defect. Since first test driving the truck in March of 2025, there was an issue with the ABS system warning coming on. When that happens, it also disables 4 wheel drive, electronic stability control, cruise control and trailer brakes. The first 3x it happened while NOT towing at about 45mph. Other times it happened while towing a 16,000# trailer which caused vehicle control issues when braking. I did however discover, in a panic, that the manual trailer brake lever still works. The cause of the ABS system shut down was determined to be code: C0037-2F (Left Wheel Speed Sensor Signal Erratic) It has be brought in to the dealer for repair at the following mileages: 4,478, 4,699, 13,790, 14,745 and 16,487 miles. Since then, the wheel speed sensor has been replaced along with the "tone ring" and other components. Most recently, it was determined that the main wiring harness was pinched and (2) wires for that circuit were shorted. The dealer ran (2) new wires outside the wiring harness. The new wire were also NOT sleeved as per SAE vehicle wiring specifications. They "said" they removed the fuel tank to access the repair, however forensic evidence does not support that. There is still undercoating on the bolt threads. It should have been disturbed or worn off when removing the fasteners. After the repair was made, the problem once again came back while towing a smaller 5,000# trailer on 10/4/26 at approximately 16,654 miles. The failure has occurred about 8 times now since the initial repair was made.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 3500. While driving approximately 35 - 40 MPH or while reversing at undisclosed speeds, the steering wheel intermittently seized. The contact stated that after decelerating, the steering feature released and operated as needed. The failures nearly caused a crash on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and it was determined that there was moisture inside the steering sensor and that the steering sensor needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure by phone, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000.
