I am filing this complaint regarding the unavailability of a critical safety component for my vehicle. Multiple dealers have informed me that the part is not available through the Mopar parts chain. However, the identical part is currently available for purchase by consumers through MoparGenuineParts.com (111 Bond Street, Westbury, NY 11590) at the following link: [XXX] ). One verified buyer even confirmed this discrepancy. As [XXX] wrote in his 5-star review dated 04/03/25: *"ABS PART – Fixed my problem just what I needed. Dealership said they could not get to because of part shortage??"* This highlights a troubling inconsistency: Mopar’s authorized dealer network is unable to supply parts that consumers can easily purchase online. It makes no sense that the official supply chain is cut off while direct-to-consumer sales remain active. The component in question is critical to the safe operation of the vehicle. If it fails at high speed, the driver could experience sudden loss of braking or steering control. Such a failure poses an imminent danger of severe accidents, rollovers, or fatalities, both to the vehicle occupants and to others on the roadway. My concern is twofold: (1) why Mopar dealers cannot access parts that clearly exist in Mopar’s system, and (2) how long-term safety is being compromised if consumers must resort to inconsistent third-party availability for essential components. This disconnect directly threatens public safety. I respectfully request NHTSA investigate why Mopar’s dealer network is unable to provide critical safety components, while consumers can obtain the exact same part online, and whether this practice constitutes a systemic safety hazard that warrants recall, investigation, or enforcement action. My HCU has failed I had a car pull into my lane on the freeway and my truck and fifth wheel slid for a long period of time. After the close call I contacted the dealership and they said they have no parts to fix the recall. I also contacted the FCA customer care 1 800 853 1403. After many calls and lost calls the Indian man told me it was totally safe to drive my truck he has no clue what a fifth wheel trailer is. I now have a 12400 mile truck i only use to pull my trailer sitting in limbo waiting to be repaired. Seems like when the truck goes through all the chimes and flashing lights I lose my cruise control and trailer brake function how is this safe?

The parking brake issue per recall was supposedly done based on information from safetycar. Vehicle can not be shut off unless in park. I'm assuming a safety feature. A few times when I attempted to shut off, even though clearly in park. Truck wouldn't do so. I shifted back into gear and then back into park with foot on brake as required. Unless I have a horse trailer hooked up, I usually don't engage parking brake if on relatively flat surface. Last week I came out to find my truck still in park had rolled forward and got caught on a large boulder before potentially rolling all the way down into a creek and pond. The boulder did do undercarriage damage mostly to brackets for bumper and spoiler. When I got in truck IT WAS STILL IN PARK. Truck started without me stepping on brake as required. Then after it started,I couldn't put it into gear. Was like shifter was locked. I tried to shut it off it wouldn't shutoff until I applied brake. I started it again with foot on brake and then I was able to shift into reverse and drive. Something is definitely wrong with the park on truck. It rolls forward now a few inches when parked and shut off in park. It will start sometimes without foot on brake and sometimes not. Since it rolled and hit rock steering feels weird. Prior to vehicle rolling and the bogus drag link fix, I have gone through tires because you can't do a full alignment. Dealership claims there's no new fix. They just won't do it right. Just like park brake issue it's not fixed right. Dealerships also claim they know nothing about a new issue and another fix. There are kids around horse farm truck coming out of gear, even though it said park, could have been a fatal accident. This truck has turned into a death trap waiting to happen and Stellantis and FCA won't acknowledge. I have to pay for a fix when it's their issue. THE 67A update has cost me over $12,000 already. THIS TRUCK SHOULD BE BOUGHT BACK BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED. PARK BRAKE APPLIED ALWAYS.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 3500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to accelerate, the electric power steering was not functioning properly, requiring an increased effort to maneuver the vehicle. The contact was able to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the wiring harness connector due to water intrusion, resulting in damages to the electric power steering control module. The contact was informed that the connector seal had failed to prevent the entrance of water leading to water damage. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 20,000.

Excessive Diesel Exhaust Regeneration. Vehicle in in regeneration about 72% of the time. Check engine light comes on about every 2 weeks with code P2459. The P2459 code indicates an issue with the diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration frequency in diesel vehicles. This code is triggered when the powertrain control module (PCM) detects that the DPF regeneration process has not occurred as expected. Have to take to dealership for a manual regeneration and to clear the code. Dealership says this is a known issue for Ram Diesel engines from 2018-2024. Dealership says Ram has yet to address the issue even though its been 7 years since the issue started in the 2018 model year. Been dealing with this for a year now.

Stellantis is unable to provide a timey remedy for NHTSA Recall Number24V-896. The hydraulic control unit ("HCU") is susceptible to failure or malfunction which may result in a reduction or change of Anti-Lock Brake System ("ABS")/Electronic Stability Control ("ESC") /Traction Control performance. A failing HCU will initially result in the intermittent loss of ABS/Traction control progressing to permanent loss. The loss of ABS/ESC/Traction control may cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. Driving the vehicle is a safety risk to me and the public. The vehicle is garaged at an authorized dealership since 2/13/25 and has resulted in a loss of income totaling $40,000 as the truck was used for transporting heavy loads. Additionally, I have paid $9,000 towards the monthly truck note and insurance for a vehicle that I cannot drive. Stellantis has not provided an adequate solution, and they are ill-equipped to be a manufacturer of vehicles in the United States. Stellantis is actively misrepresenting safety information to the public without any regard for the public’s safety. Out of an abundance of caution, I filed Better Business Bureau complaint case #[XXX] on [XXX] with the Detroit and Eastern Michigan office after Stellantis advised me that the 2018 Ram 3500 was safe to drive even though the recall was not repaired. Stellantis’ response can be viewed by the public at the Better Business Bureau of Detroit and Eastern Michigan’s website. It reads as follows: “We issued this recall out of our commitment to your safety and recommend that you complete the repair as soon as the remedy becomes available. However, please rest assured that you can continue driving your vehicle safely in the meantime." They made 5.5 billion in profit in 2024 and they won't deal fairly regarding a rental vehicle. On 7/17 they told me they would reimburse up to $60 then 8 days later they said up to $50. When I submitted my rental receipts they said their system is down. Vehicle died in a busy intersection coming off the freeway. Light flashed that indicated it was an issue with the electronic throttle control. The safety of myself and others was put at risk due to the posted speed of the road and multiple lanes from 4 directions. I had to remain in my vehicle to make sure I was not hit by another vehicle and due to the vehicle issue, I was impeding traffic. Lithia Dodge of Grants Pass, OR stated they could not make an appt for the vehicle to get looked at for 2 weeks out, scheduled 8/22/25. Dealership seems to think this is not an issue with safety and this issue can occur while the vehicle is in motion which is a huge safety issue. No warning lights flashed before the first one indicating the vehicle would shut down/lose all power.
