While driving, my vehicles automatic braking system sometimes beeps and begin to brake when there are no objects or other vehicles in front of me. This is could potentially put me at risk because it causes my car to suddenly brake and stall while driving. I do not know if the problem has been confirmed by a dealer and I have not taken it to the dealer to be inspected. It originally started as a beeping when nothing was there but now the car is actually braking when nothing is there

- #11739091May 20, 2026ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000(Engine and Engine Cooling). The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the dealer reprogrammed the engine control module (ECM) software and test drove the vehicle and found no failures. Despite the dealer's claims that they test drove the vehicle, the contact stated that her mileage had not changed upon picking up the vehicle. The contact then stated that while driving at 55 MPH, an audible ding sound emitted from the vehicle as both an "Engine Malfunction" and "Power Reduced Service Now" warning messages appeared on the instrument panel. The vehicle began to slow down upon depression of the accelerator pedal. While at a stop light, the vehicle failed to accelerate above 5 MPH as the contact coasted the vehicle into a parking lot. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to another dealer where after the dealer spoke with the manufacturer; they agreed to repair the vehicle under the initial recall. The contact had yet to notify the manufacturer directly about the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000

- #11738695May 19, 2026STRUCTURE:BODY, LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
The backup camera stopped working. Vehicle taken to Buckeye Nissan in Ohio and rear hatch cover removed and a significant amount of water discovered in the rear hatch exposing the camera to this water has short circuited the camera disabling it. Tech checked the wire leading to the camera and reports that it has no power. Only option from 2 Nissan dealers is to replace the entire rear hatch at a cost of over $5000. Water penetration is coming in from the rear wiper which has a rubber gromet around it that is not water tight allowing a significant amount of water to short out the cameras on the 2021 Nissan Rogues. Common problem according to all of the Nissan forums online.

- #11738248May 16, 2026SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The vehicle experienced multiple incidents of unintended/sudden braking without an obvious hazard present. Approximately six weeks ago, while traveling eastbound through downtown [XXX] , with children in the vehicle and traffic behind me, the vehicle abruptly engaged braking on its own, causing a sudden slowdown and creating a potential rear-end collision hazard. A second similar incident occurred a few weeks later while slowly pulling into a Target Drive-Up parking space, where the vehicle again unexpectedly braked without driver command. The issue appears possibly related to the automatic emergency braking/forward collision avoidance system, although the exact cause is currently UNKNOWN. No collision occurred, but the unexpected braking created a significant safety concern for vehicle occupants and surrounding traffic. The vehicle has also experienced ongoing electrical-related issues, including repeated “No Key Detected” warnings despite prior dealership reprogramming/rekeying attempts involving both the keys and vehicle system. The Bluetooth/radio system has also repeatedly malfunctioned despite dealership updates and/or repairs. To date, the issues appear intermittent and progressively worsening. The vehicle has been serviced previously by dealership personnel for some of the electrical/key-related concerns. The exact root cause has not yet been identified or confirmed. World car Nissan states the issues with the vehicle are not recall related. They blame the defects on a faulty oil temp sensor and engine mount. When the incident occurred signaling for us to take it into the shop, the vehicle slowed down very suddenly and the engine force was limited by the system. Even waiting for the car to cool down, it did not start and work properly. Even a day after the incident, the accelerator was not working.

- #11737495May 13, 2026POWER TRAIN
Hello: I own a 2018 Nissan Rogue. While on the internet I found an NHTSA announcement that said there were problems with the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The vehicle has 80,800 miles on it. The recall states that the warranty covers 7 years/ 84,000 miles. I looked on your website and found there’s no recall for that transmission. Is that correct? I have included the link below. Thank you. [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

While driving, the CVT stalls. The vehicle becomes sluggish and slows to a crawl. During this time, the driver is forced to turn on the hazard lights, place the car in park and restart the engine. Once restarted, the car can be placed into drive mode. This can occur several times while driving. This problems occurs more frequently when traveling in traffic requiring speed changes.

- #11737507May 13, 2026SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Vehicle could not brake. The abs brakes did not function and forward collission warning did not go on causing a collission with another car that cut in front of car. This caused collission, airbags to deploy and car is totaled. Driver and passenger were injured due to crash and air bag deployment. On the day of crash I received a warning in my app requesting I have my abs checked at dealer because abs brakes might not function properly from Nissan.
