Good day, I am writing to formally raise and escalate a serious concern regarding the vehicle I recently purchased Autosource company. I purchased a car through auto source company that assists international professionals in leasing or purchasing vehicles in the United States. However, upon independently checking the vehicle’s VIN, it has come to my attention that the car has an unresolved safety recall involving the electric throttle body. This issue was not disclosed to us at any point during the purchasing process, which is very concerning. As this vehicle is intended for daily family use, including transporting my children, safety is our top priority. The presence of an unresolved recall raises significant concerns about the vehicle’s reliability and overall safety. Additionally, I have made multiple attempts to contact the assigned agent regarding this matter, but unfortunately, I have not received any response to my messages or emails. This lack of communication is deeply disappointing. Given that the vehicle is scheduled for delivery on [XXX] I respectfully request the following: Immediate clarification regarding the recall status Confirmation that all necessary repairs will be fully completed prior to delivery. Official documentation proving that the recall has been resolved. Assistance from a supervisor or appropriate representative to handle this escalation. Please treat this matter with urgency. I would appreciate a prompt response to ensure that this issue is resolved before the scheduled delivery date. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I opened the trunk with the button on the dash and while the hatch was open a few minutes i heard a loud pop and realized the rear glass blew out and shards of glass came rolling down from the upper right hand side of the rear window and it had also spider cracked throughout the window. This happened at night 10:30 pm it was 42 degrees and light rain. I had just driven the truck for a half hour before and there was no warning lights or sounds prior. The vehicle was stopped and off and all that proceeded the spontaneous explosion was me opening the trunk and within 3 minutes of opening the trunk the glass exploded on its own. I never had a problem before this event and never had it checked out by the dealership or mechanic as I was unaware this was a common issue and had to find out after this happened. I had taken this car several times for several recalls but was never informed of any recalls or issues regarding the rear glass spontaneously blowing out. This is a serious issue and a safety issue and would like answers as to why this wasn't brought to my attention or part of the previous recalls even though it's been a known issue for this make and model for some time.

My 2022 Nissan Rogue experienced a sudden engine failure related to an active recall. The vehicle became undrivable and was taken to the dealership. The vehicle has now been out of service for over two weeks with no estimated repair completion date. This failure creates a serious safety risk, as engine failure can occur while driving and could lead to loss of power, stalling, or inability to safely operate the vehicle. The dealership has confirmed the issue but has not provided a timeline for repair. Nissan has only offered rental reimbursement, requiring out-of-pocket payment, and has not provided a loaner or direct rental despite the recall-related failure. I am currently without reliable transportation due to this failure and cannot afford to pay upfront for a rental. This has created a financial hardship. This issue should be investigated, as it involves engine failure tied to a recall and lack of adequate support while the vehicle is out of service.

While driving at approximately 70 mph on I-76 , a “CVT HOT” warning appeared on the dashboard. Immediately after, the vehicle lost power and would not accelerate normally, creating a safety hazard in traffic. I was forced to pull over multiple times. This issue began after a recall repair was performed on the vehicle. The condition resolved temporarily after shutting the vehicle off, but the failure was sudden and dangerous. While driving, multiple warning messages appeared including AWD system errors and check engine light. The vehicle’s performance became unstable and unreliable. This created concern about loss of control and drivability. The vehicle had recently undergone recall service, after which these issues began occurring intermittently. The vehicle was brought to an authorized Nissan dealership multiple for diagnosis of the CVT warning, AWD errors, and loss of power. The dealership kept the vehicle for several hours on multiple occasions but stated they were unable to replicate the issue. No repair was performed any of the times. The safety concern remains unresolved. This continually happens and they yell at me saying there's nothing they could do. To be direct: I am aware that “unable to replicate” is often used to avoid opening warranty claims or authorizing costly repairs. However, this does not resolve the issue, nor does it eliminate the safety risk. The vehicle is demonstrably unsafe when the failure occurs, and the burden should not be shifted onto the customer simply because the issue is intermittent.

- #11729620April 7, 2026ENGINE, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, SERVICE BRAKES
I am reporting a recurring safety issue with the vehicle’s auto engine stop/start system. When the vehicle comes to a stop, the engine sometimes shuts off normally (other time only the auto-brakes engage, but engine stays on), but then the system behaves unpredictably. The engine attempts to restart with a violent jolt, causing the entire vehicle to shake. This occurs even when I am fully stopped with my foot on the brake. It feels like the vehicle is trying to lurch forward or restart against resistance. The issue is repeatable, happens in normal driving conditions, and creates a safety concern because the sudden jolt can startle the driver, cause unintended movement, or lead to loss of control in traffic. I believe this may indicate a defect in the auto‑engine‑stop system, engine mounts, starter system, or related control modules. Please investigate, as other owners may be experiencing the same unsafe behavior.

The contact's fiancé owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that after the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V080000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); the vehicle experienced rough idling, and the vehicle lost motive power while driving with the RPM elevated. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The contact stated that while driving 50 MPH, the vehicle went into LIMP Mode and started sputtering. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to drive to the residence nearby. There was a significant amount of smoke coming from the tailpipe while driving into the driveway. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to tow the vehicle to the dealer and to obtain rental assistance at the owner’s expense. The dealer was notified of the failure, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the recall repair failed to fix the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.

Incident Date: 04/05/2026 Vehicle Speed: 65–70 MPH Location: [XXX] Component: Engine / Power Train / Fuel System Summary of Safety Defect: While traveling at highway speeds (65–70 MPH) with four passengers (including two children), the vehicle suffered a sudden, catastrophic engine failure without any prior warning or symptomatic noise. The Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) began flashing rapidly, immediately followed by a total loss of motive power. Despite throttle input, the vehicle failed to maintain speed or accelerate, creating an immediate hazard in high-speed traffic. Hazardous Conditions encountered: Upon the loss of power, I observed white smoke trailing from the exhaust and a strong burning odor entering the cabin from the engine compartment. To avoid a high-speed rear-end collision, I was forced to perform an emergency maneuver across active lanes of traffic to reach the shoulder. Due to the immediate fear of a vehicle fire (indicated by the smoke and burning smell), my family was forced to evacuate the vehicle and wait outside in a remote location for six hours. Correlation to Known Defects: This incident appears to be a direct manifestation of the defect described in Nissan Recall ID R25E3/R25E4 / NHTSA ID 26V0801 regarding Engine Main Bearing Seizure. The failure resulted in a complete loss of propulsion and a potential fire risk due to fluid ignition or a breached engine block. Post-Incident Status: The vehicle was towed to Nissan of Cumming and is currently awaiting a formal inspection for internal metal debris. The failure of this critical component under highway conditions posed a life-threatening risk to my family and other motorists. Three out of the four door lock actuators have gone bad. It’s the front driver side door, rear driver side door, and rear passenger side door. That’s not normal wear and tear, that’s a defect and it’s a safety issue.

The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle on two occasions, the vehicle failed to start immediately. During the first failure to start, the vehicle started after several minutes with the transmission, check engine, and front radar obstruction warning lights illuminated, and the message "Forward Driving Aid Temporarily Disabled", and the message "Front Sensor Blocked - See Owner’s Manual" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that during the second failure, while attempting to start the vehicle, the engine turned over, but the vehicle failed to start for approximately two hours. The master, transmission, check engine, and front radar obstruction warning lights were illuminated and the " Forward Driving Aid Temporarily Disabled", and "Front Sensor Blocked - See Owner’s Manual" messages were displayed. The contact stated that the vehicle was driven to the residence; however, while the vehicle was parked there was blue smoke coming from the tailpipe. While driving approximately 30 MPH, the engine overheated. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and the heater was turned on for approximately three minutes. The vehicle was then towed to a dealer where it was determined that the engine needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. Hi! This is my 2nd input here about my 2022 Nissan Rogue. Recaping that whike driving home, smoke began to emerge from under the hood and multiple warning signs popped up (please see previous input for more information). Cureentky, my vehicle was diagnosed with a converter issue. The recent recall was related to the engine. The converter and my spark plugs (2 spark plugs replaced already) were all damaged by the engine. This makes sense why there are numerous issues. While the extended warranty covers the engine and not the converter, under the law of consequential damage, anything damaged by this engine is covered due to the cause from the engine. I currently have a rental and am leaving my Rogue at the dealership due to it being unsafe to drive and that the dealership has not provided a remedy for this defect, which is covered by law under this recall on the Rogue due to consequential damage. My Rogue will continue to have issues until all related/noncoverd parts are fixed under this. This vehicle is now a lemon due to consistent issue with the engine it damaging other parts. I am hoping for a good will pay and buyback.
