The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V710000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), 25V741000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), and 25V766000 (ENGINE). However, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle jerked. No warning lights were illuminated. Most recently, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The contact stated that the message "Auxiliary Switches Temporarily Unavailable - Battery Charging" was displayed on the instrument panel. The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

I am submitting this supplemental statement regarding my previously filed complaint involving a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. On November 8, 2025, I was involved in a crash that resulted in bodily injury, including head, neck, and back pain, and required post-accident inspection and towing. Despite the nature of the impact and the injuries sustained, the frontal airbag system did not deploy. The manufacturer, Stellantis, conducted an inspection through a third-party contractor and advised via email that the airbag system did not deploy because the deceleration threshold was allegedly not met. However, I have not been provided with the Event Data Recorder (EDR) data, crash pulse analysis, sensor performance evaluation, or the technical criteria relied upon to reach this conclusion. Given the vehicle damage, injuries sustained, and non-deployment of the frontal airbags, I am concerned that the airbag system may not have functioned as intended or that the deployment thresholds, sensor inputs, or system calibration may be defective or unreasonable. I respectfully request that NHTSA review this incident for potential safety defects related to airbag non-deployment, crash detection thresholds, sensor performance, or system logic in the 2022 Jeep Wrangler.

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure.

On multiple occasions, the Auto Start/Stop system has triggered a failure message on the Driver Notification Screen on the Center Console. As a result, less than two to five minutes after the failure warning, the entire vehicle loses power and electrical continuity. The vehicle loses all electrical systems, accessories, and critical driving elements (including speedometer and other instruments). This requires full roadside towing and assistance. The vehicle was taken to two Jeep/Dodge/Ram service centers for diagnostics and service, and both centers were unable to replicate the customer concern, although one noted that the battery terminal was "disconnected", even though the engine bay and battery section was never accessed by the driver from when it was purchased, including roadside assistance never accessing the engine bay and battery section, they simply towed the vehicle by disengaging the parking brake and engaging it when towed. This poses an abrupt and severe safety concern, as sudden loss of power and electrical systems results in loss of control, loss of lighting (external lights (headlights, taillights, hazard lights, etc.), and causes panic. This vehicle cannot be trusted as the safety is compromised.

After a bad OTA update in October, in November before the stop charge recall was issued I noticed on Nov 21, when in "ELECTRIC" mode, after 10 or so minutes of driving the vehicle loses the ability to accelerate past half application of the accelerator. This lack of power continues until the accelerator is FULLY pushed on the floor forcing the gas engine on and causing immediate and dangerous acceleration. After this incident on the 11/21, I didn't charge again until I had the 68C recall performed where the dealer told me they think it's fixed. On my way home from the dealer it happened again. From here I emailed the dealer over the holiday and sent them videos of the problem. I opened a case with Jeep and brought it in. I was then told they replicated my issue but that it's normal now since all the updates. They refused to go for a quick ride along and closed my Jeep case with no resolution or help. This problem that did not exist before the OTA update. I don't know if it's related to the OTA update or related to the A7C recall, wither way I don't feel safe driving this with any amount of charge in it, even though the dealer gave an OK to charge. The dealer wants nothing to do with addressing this because I think they can't fix it since there is no CEL or codes in the computer. I don't know what to do from here. You will find attached the email chain and see YouTube addresses. I can share these directly if needed or produce much better ones. This is completely repeatable and consistent.

The contact stated that after several attempts, the vehicle started, and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The dealer informed the contact that an error code was reset and was a communication error. In addition, the contact was informed that the check engine warning light was off. The contact had received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System) and 25V766000 (Engine); however, the parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The contact was informed that the recall repair for NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System) was performed and that the battery did not need to be replaced. In addition, the contact was informed that the vehicle was safe to drive. The contact was concerned about the potential fire risk regarding the repair. The contact requested a signed document including the statement; however, the dealer declined. The contact was informed that the signed document was not part of the policy. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000. The VIN was unavailable.

SERVICE BRAKES
The ABS module was determined to be faulty via a code scan in July 2025 by the dealership. I took the vehicle to another mechanic for confirmation and this was determined to be accurate. A new module has been ordered but is on backorder and may not become available for months as many other owners are dealing with the same problem. I was told that it was still drivable and this is a daily driver vehicle. This now appears to be causing the vehicle to go into "limp" mode, not allowing the vehicle to accelerate at times when pulling into traffic.

ABS issues lights came on due to malfunctioning part. The part is unavailable and appears to no longer be available. Failure appeared a year ago and have been trying to find someone to replace. After taking to multiple shops, the last one finally told us the part is no longer available. With this being part of the braking system, it is very important to have working properly!

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. The contact stated that while driving at 25 MPH and entering the highway, the steering wheel failed to respond as needed. The contact stated that the steering wheel finally loosened, and the contact was able to turn the steering wheel. Another driver swerved to avoid a crash, and rocks cracked the front windshield. While driving, there was an abnormal smoky burning odor was detected. The odor became more prominent. The contact pulled over and turned off the vehicle. After waiting for several minutes, the contact opened the hood and noticed that the hood was burned and stripped, and noticed the issue was inside the engine. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V710000 (Electrical System) and 25V741000 (Electrical System). The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 4,300.

Vehicle Information: Make: Jeep Model: Wrangler Model Year: 2007 VIN: [XXX] Safety Recall Information: NHTSA Campaign ID: 16V-290 Manufacturer Recall Number: S33 Component: Airbag / Clock Spring This recall was previously performed by a dealership in February 2021; however, the vehicle is now experiencing the same symptoms the recall was intended to address, indicating the safety defect has reoccurred or was not permanently remedied. The vehicle is currently experiencing: Illuminated airbag (SRS) warning light Horn failure Traction control / electronic stability program warning light Erratic or abnormal A/C behavior that coincides with the SRS/steering wheel electrical faults These failures are consistent with a defective clock spring and directly impact the Supplemental Restraint System and other active safety systems. I contacted an authorized Jeep dealership to request inspection and repair of this recurring safety defect. The dealership confirmed the recall had been previously completed but refused to diagnose or repair the vehicle, stating in writing: “Due to company policy, we are unable to perform diagnostic or repair services on vehicles that are more than 10 years old.” They further stated that because the recall was marked as completed in 2021, they would not assist further and recommended I seek an independent repair facility. I believe this refusal violates the intent and requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act (49 U.S.C. §§ 30118–30120), which requires manufacturers to remedy safety defects and does not allow age-based or policy-based refusal when a safety defect exists or reoccurs. This defect involves the airbag system and active safety features and presents an ongoing risk to vehicle occupants. I am requesting NHTSA’s assistance in reviewing this matter and ensuring that the manufacturer and/or authorized dealer fulfills their obligation to properly remedy this safety defect. THREE urgent fire risk/catastrophic recalls with no remedy avail. Urged not safe to drive or charge due to fire risk. Urged to park away from buildings due to fire risk. Cannot schedule an appointment for repair as no remedy is avail. Considering, vehicle is not serviceable since September 2025. Requesting a buyback as I need a reliable and safe vehicle ASAP. Currently posing a catastrophic risk to my family, neighbors and employer/co-workers as this is my only means of transportation. Unsafe and hazardous. I purchased this vehicle back in August 2024, currently only has 17,000 miles and all services are UTD minus the recalls considering no remedy avail.

The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that upon pressing the Push to Start button to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the battery was replaced; however, the failure recurred approximately 3 months later. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start; however, the interior lights, the exterior lights, the windshield wipers, and other electrical functions were engaged unintendedly. The gear shifter was locked in park(P). The contact was unable to turn off the vehicle or to lock the vehicle manually or with the key fob. The contact noticed an abnormal relay sound coming from underneath the hood. The contact stated that the failure persisted for 13 hours, from morning to evening, until both batteries were completely drained. The vehicle was towed to Peach Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (528 South Blvd, Brewton, AL 36426) to be diagnosed and repaired, but the diagnostic information was unavailable. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but declined to cover the cost of the repair under the warranty. A case was filed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000.

We have had this recall for over a year and now the dealer is saying that the vehicle can't be driven and there is no timeline for a resolution. We are still required to pay our lease on the vehicle and the Jeep is not able to be driven. We are getting no help from the dealer we purchased it from or Jeep itself.
