The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact stated while driving approximately 25 MPH, the vehicle experienced an electrical failure and stalled. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the HV Battery had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the part was on back order. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 34,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

SERVICE BRAKES
I have a 2021 jeep wrangler and the brake hose went on the driver front side. Mopar product ID is 68307451AH. I have called numerous dealerships and Mopar themselves. They informed me this hose is on backorder for over 841 jeeps, and they are unable to get this across the US. Knowing how many jeeps are needing this hose, is it possible to get a recall on it due to the fact it is imperative to fix right away? I've been trying to find a replacement or an alternate but no luck. This is my only mode of transportation and don't want to keep driving my jeep as it continues to veer to the right due to the faulty hose I'm experiencing.

On 7/13/25, my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with approximately 50,000 miles on it spontaneously caught fire as I was driving down the highway. The fire appeared to start in the engine compartment and very quickly moved to the entire front end of the vehicle. I pulled over on the side of the road and managed to safely exit the vehicle without physical injury. In minutes, the entire vehicle was consumed in flames. The fire department arrived within 10 minutes. When I departed the scene of the incident, fire fighters were still spraying water on the vehicle. After leaving the scene, I went to the hospital for psychological injury related to the incident. The investigation into the fire is currently underway. I do not have additional information about the cause or specific location of the fire. The vehicle is currently at a tow yard and is a total loss. It is nearly unrecognizable aside from the frame and a few components in the far rear. I am in the process of documenting all upgrades and modifications. Since it was fully built for off-roading and overlanding, it is a long and challenging task to take inventory of every part. Approximately 3 months before the incident, the vehicle was towed to a local CDJR dealership for a factory recall, where the entire fuel system was replaced. There were no other issues with the vehicle.

At approximately 36,600 miles, my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara began experiencing a critical and recurring electrical malfunction. Upon attempting to start the vehicle: •All dashboard electronics power on, but the engine does not crank or start. •The brake pedal remains fully depressed and will not release. •The vehicle cannot be shut off by the ignition; the only way to power it down is by disconnecting the battery and fuse and waiting ~15 minutes. This issue renders the vehicle completely inoperable and has occurred multiple times. It began just 600 miles after the factory warranty expired (36,000 miles), and two dealership repair attempts have failed to resolve the issue. I’ve reviewed public NHTSA complaints and discovered that similar issues are being reported in 2023 Wranglers, including full power loss and no-start conditions. This issue is consistent with symptoms reported in the NHTSA’s July 2024 investigation into 2023–2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe models for electrical system failures. I believe this is part of a systemic electrical defect and poses a serious safety risk due to its sudden onset and inability to shut the vehicle down normally.

I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ) that has experienced multiple hybrid system failures since the week of purchase. Despite several major repairs, the issues persist — raising significant safety and reliability concerns. Timeline of Major Issues: •[XXX]: Just two days after purchase, the vehicle was brought into the shop for hybrid system failure, requiring replacement of the high-voltage wiring harness and electric cooling heater. •Shortly after, the check engine light returned (per service staff, likely another hybrid fault). I was unable to bring it in at the time, and the light later turned off on its own. •[XXX}: After overnight charging, the battery was dead and the vehicle wouldn’t start. My wife (a medical provider) had to leave work to assist, causing major disruptions to patient care, financial loss, and missed school for my son. •[XXX]: After another overnight charge, the vehicle again failed to start, with more difficulty getting it to run than before. •[XXX}: The vehicle was returned to the shop and required replacement of the hybrid powertrain chip and additional high-voltage wiring. These failures mirror the symptoms and component issues currently under investigation in Recall 95B, yet my VIN does not show any open recalls, and I was never notified of any hybrid system defect. My vehicle has experienced the same hazardous failures and received the same repairs as affected vehicles. I am submitting this complaint because I believe my vehicle was improperly excluded from safety-related notifications and may be affected by a known, systemic hybrid defect. It started with the engine sounding louder then normal. Then a bad smell in the cab of the vehicle. Later found out it was a exhaust leak that was getting into the vehicle causing headaches and other symptoms of carbon monoxide. Also note the burn marks around the broken bracket that could cause a fire if not mechanically inclined to notice. Not check engine light for this. But when I spoke to the dealership it wasn't new to them. Apparently this has happened to alot of the ecodiesel jeep and gladiators. A common problem that should be resolved before and life threatening injuries result in loss of consciousness or fire.

I've had the Electric Coolant Heater Module (ECH) replaced three times in under three months, and had to pay $853 the last time for a wiring harness connector that the dealership & Jeep said was not covered under the warranty. I couldn't continue to safely drive the vehicle with a Check Engine Light on given the other reported problems with the 4xe Hybrid Battery system so I had no choice but to pay for the part out of pocket, even though the item the connector was attached to was deemed to be covered by the 100,000 miles hybrid system warranty.

Vehicle abruptly lost all power while driving, multiple panel lights, turtle mode. Twice now, first time at an intersection (April 10, 2025), second time on street in front of my house after pulling out of driveway. Loss of power steering, insufficient power to get back up driveway to garage. Towed both times. First time spent 18 days at dealer, "multiple DTC codes", no definitive diagnosis. Back at dealer now for past 11 days, no diagnosis yet. Could easily have been life-threatening situation if occured while driving on freeway or at speed. Apparently known problem with these Jeep HEVs.

From the moment I drove off the lot, I encountered problems. The battery light came on immediately, requiring a replacement within weeks. I returned to the original CarMax location for this service. However, this was only the beginning. Over time, I discovered the following: The driver seatbelt was not functioning properly The right rear passenger seatbelt buckle was completely missing The filters were filthy and had not been cleaned or replaced in well over a year, according to a trusted mechanic The engine may now require replacement at just 38,000 miles When I called CarMax to report the missing seatbelt buckle, I was incorrectly told that my vehicle was not under warranty. This was untrue — I was well within the warranty period at the time. Despite this, I was ignored, and the safety concern received no follow-up or correction. This points to either a falsified or negligent vehicle inspection at the time of sale. Your "125+ point inspection" failed to catch multiple clear safety hazards and wear issues — or worse, they were deliberately overlooked. What’s most disturbing is that I only discovered the missing seatbelt after my sister drove the vehicle with my [XXX] and [XXX] nephews in the backseat. One child had to sit in the middle because the rear right buckle was completely missing. That realization — that I unknowingly placed children at risk in a vehicle that your team labeled "safe" — is devastating. Now I’m being told that the engine may be failing — and it hasn’t even hit 40,000 miles. I was recently asked by the Southlake service team to provide oil change records, which I am willing to share. But let’s be clear: An oil change receipt does not explain why a newer engine is failing at this mileage — unless something much deeper is wrong. I am writing to formally notify you of a serious issue I am experiencing with my recently purchased 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X , purchased on 17 June 2025 from your dealership. Just two weeks after taking delivery of the vehicle, I encountered a major electrical malfunction that rendered the car unsafe and undrivable. While driving, I received an alarming safety message on the dashboard stating: "For safety reasons, please park the vehicle. It will shut off automatically." Shortly after, multiple critical warnings appeared, including: Check Engine light illuminated Gear indicator began blinking Transmission failed to shift properly Loss of acceleration control and other electronic functions This sudden failure occurred without any prior warning and has caused significant inconvenience, as well as concern regarding the vehicle’s reliability and safety—especially considering it is a brand-new car with only approximately [insert mileage] miles on it. The hybrid-electric system, including the high-voltage battery, battery pack control module (BPCM), and associated cooling systems, repeatedly malfunctioned. These failures caused loss of power while driving, electrical odors, and error messages. The vehicle is currently at the dealership for service and is available for inspection upon request. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle has lost power multiple times while in motion, including on city streets and highways. These unexpected power losses significantly increased the risk of rear-end collisions and limited my ability to safely accelerate or steer in traffic. I have had to take anxiety medication when driving the vehicle due to fear of these events recurring, and I am deeply concerned about the safety of my family, including a newborn passenger. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The issues have been confirmed by an authorized Jeep dealership on multiple occasions. Despite several recall campaigns and attempted repairs, the same power loss and electrical system problems have recurred. Service advisors and technicians acknowledged the problems and attempted component replacements and reprogramming, but the malfunctions persist. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? The vehicle has been inspected and serviced exclusively by an authorized Jeep/Chrysler dealership (Autonation CDJR in Roseville, CA). Vehicle check engine light illuminated along with multiple other lights on the dashboard. It had a difficult time accelerating on its own, very sluggish. At the next light the gas pedal was just tapped and the vehicle began to over accelerate increasing to over 30 MPH in a turning lane while crossing an intersection. Avoided a car accident and pulled into the nearest parking lot. That was the second time that type of incident occurred. The first time, the vehicle was self accelerating during 5 o’clock traffic in Los Angeles. We had to constantly press on the brakes only to avoid accidents until we could exit the freeway.

⸻ Title: Loss of Power While Driving on Freeway – Dangerous Malfunction Similar to Recall 23V-116 Complaint Description: I am reporting a serious and dangerous malfunction with my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon EcoDiesel. While driving on a high-speed freeway (70–80 MPH), all warning lights on the dashboard illuminated—including the check engine light—and the vehicle suddenly went into limp mode, resulting in a loss of power. This occurred in fast-moving traffic, putting me at immediate risk of a crash. This started happening again every time I got on the freeway for 10 minutes. I’ve owned this Jeep for about a year, have never taken it off-road, and have kept it properly maintained. All electrical components, fuses, and systems have been inspected, and no clear cause has been found. The problem persists and is clearly not due to driver use or negligence. This issue strongly resembles Recall Number 23V-116, which states that affected vehicles may experience a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. That recall was for 2021 Jeep Wrangler vehicles, the same model and year as mine. However, my VIN was not included, despite the fact that I’m experiencing the exact same symptoms described in the recall notice: “A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.” This issue began occurring shortly after that recall was issued, and it has happened multiple times, mostly during highway driving—making the vehicle extremely unsafe. I believe my vehicle should have been included in Recall 23V-116, as this is clearly a safety-related defect involving the powertrain or control module software. This is an urgent safety issue, and I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate why this VIN was excluded from the recall and consider expanding the recall to cover additional affected vehicles before someone gets seriously injured or worse. While operating the 2021 Jeep Wrangler under normal driving conditions, I experienced repeated overheating issues. A high-pitched noise was consistently heard coming from under the hood during operation. Simultaneously, the engine temperature gauge would spike to high, and the infotainment system displayed an engine overheating warning. When the vehicle is started from a cold start - the high pitch is constant. To prevent damage or risk of fire, I immediately pulled the vehicle over and allowed the engine to cool. Upon restarting, the overheating issue persisted, with the temperature gauge rising and falling erratically—up to four times during a 15-minute drive. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Jeep dealership service center for inspection. The following findings were documented: Coolant System: High-temperature coolant reservoir found completely empty. Low-temperature reservoir found low on coolant. Evidence of coolant leakage at multiple coolant line fittings. Engine Block: External head gasket leak observed. Pressure test confirmed leaks in coolant lines. Internal Engine Inspection: Spark plugs were removed and coolant residue was found in the combustion chambers. Cylinder walls showed damage consistent with overheating. Slightly burned valves noted during inspection. Based on the findings above, the engine has suffered critical failure due to overheating and internal coolant leakage. The combination of external gasket leaks, coolant residue in the cylinders, damaged cylinder walls, and burned valves presents a serious mechanical and safety concern. Full engine replacement is required.
