I experienced an extreme coolant leak caused by the coolant inlet tube fasteners backing out and becoming loose. This is consistent with MOPAR recall CSN ZD8 for 2021-2022 Jeep Wrangler. My vin does not seem to be covered by this recall but experienced the same issue. I request that the VINs be extended to include my VIN. - #11682915August 25, 2025SERVICE BRAKES
On August 12, 2025, the brakes on my 2022 Jeep Wrangler failed and resulted in a low speed collision. Brakes were being applied to stop for a traffic light and when I realized the vehicle was not stopping I pushed pedal to floor twice to try and stop vehicle. After the accident the vehicle was towed to Tate Jeep dealership who could not duplicate the incident or identify why pressure in brake line dropped. Air bags did not deploy.

The contact stated that there was an abnormal clicking sound coming from the battery system, approximately every 20 seconds. Several attempts were made to restart the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to restart. Due to the failure, the contact called for a tow truck; however, while waiting for the tow truck, the vehicle restarted, and the contact drove the vehicle back to the residence. The following day, the contact called the dealer and made an appointment to service the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. While driving on a couple occasions the traction control light kicked in and wouldn’t allow me to turn I had to come to almost a complete stop, I thought it had gone away and a few days later I had a death wobble that occurred on a very busy hwy and had to pull into the middle lane to prevent an accident. I could not let go completely of the wheel but I also couldn’t really control the vehicle I had to stop it. I was not turning when this one happened I was going straight I had already turned and drove straight for a few minutes before it happened. I was able to drive a quarter of a mile to the auto repair shop where it is sitting. He told me himself it is very dangerous to drive it when that occurs.

ubject: Urgent Safety Concern – Jeep 4xe Battery Recall Repair Failure Hello, A few months ago, my Jeep 4xe was brought in for the battery recall. The dealer informed me that the issue was resolved, but did not provide any clear details on what exactly was done. On [XXX], while leaving the U.S. Bank and making a left turn, my Jeep suddenly stopped in the middle of the road with a warning message: “Hybrid battery failed, cannot maintain speed.” The vehicle then crawled forward at a snail’s pace, even though the engine was still running and my foot was fully on the throttle. Fortunately, there was no speeding car coming from my left—otherwise this could have caused a serious accident, injury, or even death. Eventually, I was able to pull over to the right side, but the Jeep completely stopped again, creating a major traffic backup with constant honking. I was in a panic trying to call for roadside assistance. After about 5–10 minutes, I restarted the Jeep, pressed the brakes, and it finally began moving again. This was an extremely dangerous and life-threatening situation. If it had occurred on the highway, the outcome could have been catastrophic. I am urgently requesting that you contact the dealer immediately to investigate what went wrong with the recall repair, and why the issue was not properly resolved. Please instruct them to take immediate action to permanently fix this problem—whether that requires replacing the faulty battery or addressing any other underlying issue. I need assurance that I can drive this vehicle with peace of mind, without fearing for my safety or the safety of others. Thank you for your prompt attention. I look forward to your quick response and resolution. Sincerely, [XXX] VIN No: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The vehicle has been under recall since September 2024. They have been unable to repair it. I requested a refund or replacement since it has been nearly a year now without repair. The company offered me $9,000 and $9,000 to the lawyer I had contact them. This is not acceptable since they cannot repair the vehicle they need to refund my money or give me a new car.

Instrument Cluster Panel failure while driving. There was a recall for this part in many other jeeps in 2024, it’s time to throw another recall for this one as well. There are so many failures that the part is on backorder, my Jeep has been sitting at the dealership waiting for this part for 5 months now and there is still no expected date. My Jeep has been sitting on the lot waiting to be fixed for longer than I ever got to drive it after purchasing. Cant take it elsewhere because the odometer doesn’t function.

Failure: Possibly related to Drive train Problem: Happens everyday in the morning on a cold start, have seen it also happen after parking for a longer duration on a cold day. When the vehicle is put in Drive and moves forward and changes gear from 1st to 2nd, the vehicle lunges/jumps forward. It’s an extremely aggressive shift and literally jumps forward. This problem started happening after nearly a year. The first year was fine with no issues. It’s a scary feeling sitting in the driving seat not sure if its going to hit someone or the transmission is going to fall apart. Inspection: This was inspected by 2 different service centers. One of them reported that they were not able to see the issue. The 2nd service center says that it’s a hard shift which I can ignore.. but the Jeep is not supposed to drive that manner. Warnings & Signs: None. The problem started after nearly a year of ownership.

This jeep is not safe I only have 7,800 miles on it brand new and Im going back to the dealer on 8/11/2025 to have them update my system? I feel like this is just a bandaide and this car should be recalled or bought back jeep

Started Jeep dash lights did not function. Restarted Jeep and while driving noticed no compass reading & clock was incorrect. Both began to show proper readings in app 2 minutes. Checked all battery connections positive & ground on main battery. Second battery not accessible.Next day started Jeep clock off by several hours again. Corrected itself in a few minutes again. This occurred again a few days later. Fearful of short or battery issue that could shut down vehicle power while in motion or cause fire. Dealer replaced both batteries app 1 year ago & serviced Jeep with multi point inspection app 5 days before issues started.

About one in 10 starts of my vehicle, the radio/infotainment screen will lock up, make a make a static sound, go black, and restart in a one minute cycle. Sometimes when I am in reverse, it will keep a picture of the back up camera, it’s a locked up picture (that is, not the camera view in motion) and which I think is dangerous, because it could give driver a false perception that there’s nothing behind the vehicle, and then the infotainment will reboot.

Subject: Urgent Safety Complaint Regarding Jeep with Death Wobble – Purchased from Maxon Buick GMC, Union, NJ Dear NHTSA, I am writing to report a serious safety issue involving a Jeep SUV I purchased for my son on [XXX], from Maxon Buick GMC located in Union, New Jersey. The vehicle was purchased for over $30,000, and within the first day of driving, my son began experiencing what is commonly referred to as the "Death Wobble." This violent shaking occurs unexpectedly while driving and has been happening every day since the vehicle was purchased. After doing some research, we learned that the “Death Wobble” is a known issue with certain Jeep models, and the symptoms are consistent with what my son has experienced. It is extremely frightening and dangerous, and I am deeply concerned for his safety and the safety of others on the road. I do not understand how a dealership is allowed to sell a vehicle in this condition. Selling a vehicle with such a potentially deadly defect is both irresponsible and unethical. This issue must be investigated and addressed immediately to prevent further risk to drivers and passengers. Please consider this an urgent request to look into this matter. I would appreciate confirmation of this complaint and any information on what steps will be taken to hold the dealership and manufacturer accountable. I HAVE VIDEO WHILE IT'S HAPPENING BUT UNABLE TO UPLOAD FOR SOME REASON Thank you for your time and attention to this critical safety issue. Sincerely, [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
