My Jeep Wrangler 4xe is affected by two open NHTSA safety recalls: 25V-766 (engine casting sand contamination) and 25V-741 (HV battery separator damage). Both recalls involve serious safety risks including fire, sudden loss of propulsion, and catastrophic engine failure. In the official Jeep Owner Portal, both recalls show “remedy not available” and “parts not available.” Jeep also instructs owners not to recharge the vehicle and to park away from buildings, indicating an active fire hazard. The vehicle cannot be repaired because no remedy exists. The dealer confirmed that repairs cannot be performed. I also experienced abnormal vibrations while driving, which Jeep documented under a separate case number. This issue remains unresolved as well. These defects place occupants and others at risk because the vehicle may lose power without warning or catch fire. Stellantis/FCA has not provided any repair option or timeline. I am requesting NHTSA oversight due to the ongoing safety hazard and the lack of an available remedy.

My Jeep 4xe is currently under 2 urgent fire recalls. 68C for the battery and 78C for the potential sand in the engine during production. There is currently no remedy available for either recall and the manufacturer is refusing to replace the parts or remedy the problem. Jeep is saying to take it to the dealership and the dealership is saying there is no test they can run and is pointing back at Jeep because Jeep hasn't given them a fix. I do have videos of the engine running extremely loud and clicking and instances where the cooling fan won't shut off for hours. I have not been parking in my garage and not charging the vehicle to reduce the risk as much as possible. I have had two instances where the propulsion suddenly stopped while driving, which is one of the warnings of the 78C recall. This is a safety risk for myself and my two young children who are in the car daily due to necessity, and Jeep is not offering any solutions to the problem at hand and my safety concerns.

The contact's mother owns a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal knocking sound coming from the engine. The accelerator pedal was depressed, and the contact stated that the vehicle was wobbling. The contact stated that the wobbling started at 50 MPH. No warning lights were illuminated. In addition, the contact stated that several times the vehicle shut off and needed to be jump-started. The contact stated that the vehicle became undriveable. The vehicle was taken to two separate dealers and was diagnosed with engine failure. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact's mother received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V111000 (Visibility), 24V720000 (Electrical System), and 25V741000 (Electrical System); however, the parts were not yet available for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and several cases were filed. The failure mileage was approximately 57,000.

I am submitting this complaint regarding multiple open safety recalls on my Jeep, including two fire-risk recalls that currently have no available repair. Jeep/Stellantis has informed me that they cannot confirm whether my vehicle is safe to drive, and they instructed me to park the vehicle away from buildings, trees, and other vehicles due to the potential fire hazard. I am unable to comply with these instructions because I live in an apartment complex where all parking spaces are close to other vehicles and surrounded by trees. At work, I must park inside a parking garage with no alternate options. I have small children, and if the vehicle were to catch fire, they cannot exit the vehicle independently, which significantly increases the danger. I have contacted the dealership, who confirmed they cannot authorize a rental or loaner for this recall. They instructed me to escalate directly to Jeep Corporate. I have attempted to contact the Jeep recall department by phone and received a “closed” message during normal business hours. I have also sent written documentation to Jeep Corporate and my leasing company (Ally Financial) outlining the safety concerns, my inability to safely comply with the parking instructions, and my request for a rental or loaner. Ally has opened a case to document the issue. At this time, Jeep has not provided a fix or a safe transportation alternative, and I have no safe way to operate or park the vehicle. I am filing this complaint to document the safety risk and request assistance in obtaining a safe transportation solution until Jeep provides a remedy for the fire-related recalls.

Component/System That Failed: The airbag system, forward-collision sensors, and collision-warning/braking system failed. Despite a severe frontal crash, no airbags deployed and no warning or automatic braking occurred. The Bosch Crash Data Report shows abnormal sensor spikes (up to +52g), inconsistent Delta-V readings, and failures in object detection (“No Object” recorded before impact). The components remain available for inspection through the body shop and insurer. Safety Risk: My family and I were injured because the vehicle provided no warning, no crash avoidance, and no airbag deployment during a major impact requiring a full frame replacement. This failure places all Jeep 4XE drivers at risk of severe injury or death in similar conditions. Has the Problem Been Reproduced? The problem occurred unexpectedly during the crash and cannot be safely reproduced. However, Stellantis’s inspection did not explain the sensor irregularities or system failures. Vehicle Inspections: The vehicle has been inspected by Stellantis (File 94277361), my insurance company, and the collision repair center. Stellantis claimed “insufficient deceleration,” which contradicts the severity of damage, sensor data irregularities, and the fact that the other vehicle’s airbags deployed. Warning Lamps/Symptoms Before Failure: For weeks before the crash, the Jeep produced false crash warnings, beeping, and forward-collision alerts with no obstacles present. During the actual impact, all warnings stopped, and the system failed completely. This sudden shift from false alarms to total silence suggests a sensor or module defect. Urgency: Multiple active recalls already affect this vehicle line. I fear this Jeep is unsafe to drive even after repairs. I am requesting NHTSA’s urgent assistance and investigation into this failure to prevent further injuries.

Over the last 45 days, my Jeep has suffered repeated breakdowns that required towing to the Jeep dealership—It is now the fourth tow in this short window for the same issue. On November 10th, I was informed it was a wiring harness issue. On November 17th, they completed the work with the wiring harness and mentioned that now shifter assembly now has internal failure. Respectfully, this situation is unacceptable. Particularly for a critical component that renders the vehicle inoperable and raises significant safety concerns. This issue is especially troubling given that I have young children and rely on this vehicle for our daily transportation, and has stopped me in the middle of the road multiple times. Timeline: October 7th, 2025: Service Electronic Stability Control signal - Vehicle disabled on road; Towed to my home October 8th, 2025: Second Service Electronic Stability Control signal- Vehicle is again inoperable - Towed to Jeep Dealer October 9th, 2025: Third Service Electronic Stability Control signal pops up and disappears. October 15th, 2025: Fourth Service Electronic Stability Control signal - Vehicle is again inoperable - Towed to Jeep Dealership November 8th, 2025: Fifth Service Electronic Stability Control signal - Vehicle picked up by Jeep Dealership November 17th 2025: Notified by the service advisor that Service Shifter came on after completing work with the wiring harness. This is a huge safety concern that needs immediate investigation, and the manufacture needs to be help liable for these rescue ring issues.

My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe High Altitude currently has two open recalls with no repair remedy available. One of the recalls includes fire risk with instructions to not park the vehicle indoors or near structures. I work in a hospital where I am required to park in a multi-story parking garage with hundreds of other vehicles, so I am unable to comply with Jeep/Stellantis' safety instructions. This puts me, my coworkers, and the facility at risk. Stellantis opened two case numbers for me, one for a potential buyback and one for a rental care request. After multiple calls, I was told to continue to wait and drive the vehicle. Now I am forced to drive a recalled vehicle and park the recalled vehicle daily despite the fire warnings. Stellantis has provided no. safe alternative transportation, no timeline, and no solution. I am being told to continue operating a vehicle that they have acknowledged presents a potential fire hazard, while giving me no ability to follow their own safety guidelines. I am requesting NHTSA assistance because this situation represents a serious safety issue, and Stellantis has not ordered any remedy or safe option while the recall remains open.

Last week the cat went in for the open recalls. However the electrical and propulsion problems are still going on so I think it’s more than software. The car jerks and come close to stalling almost like a standard transmission with the clutch not catching properly. Additionally, and this is separate and does not occur with the problem described above. The dashboard lights randomly go off. It has no correlation to anything just randomly shut off then come back on.

The 1st time it happened I was getting on highway and went over a Crack in road and my jeep started vibrating violently. Totally scared me but once I slowed down it stopped so I figured it was a fluke thing. My hubby drove it to Seattle and going 70 he went over grooved pavement and the shaking happened again. Third times a charm at 65 and didn't go over anything and it scared the crap out of me so bad I slowed down to 30 in a 60 in order for it to stop. Immediately contacted dealership and was told it would be hundreds of dollars and it isn't covered under warranty. I bought this Jeep brand new, only has 41,000miles and dont beat her up on off road because she is my daily driver. This violently shaking is scary and this could really do a new driver some harm and needs to be addressed and fixed in ALL Jeep vehicles.

I am experiencing a severe and dangerous front-end vibration at freeway speeds between 60–65 mph, commonly known as “Death Wobble.” The wobble is violent enough that I feel I could lose control of the vehicle. It makes the Jeep extremely unsafe to drive on the freeway. This is happening on a vehicle that is practically new with only 38,000 miles, which is unacceptable for a safety-related issue. I brought the vehicle to the dealership three times before my warranty expired, and the problem was never fixed. Now that the warranty period has passed, the dealership is telling me I must pay out of pocket for the repairs, even though this issue started and was reported while the vehicle was still under warranty.

The vehicle suddenly has a check engine light appear on the dash with a display message “performance limited, service fuel system”. This issue effectively caused the vehicle to enter a “limp mode” while driving it and limited its speed while driving. This reduced the speed of the car while driving at highway speed. The dealer has stated the issue is a high pressure fuel pump issue and a control module issue.

SUSPENSION
Due to the track bar, steering damper and struts failing after less than 28k miles, the jeep is now exhibiting the previously investigated "Death wobble" causing a dangerous driving condition when exceeding 55mph. While driving, the vehicle began to shake so violently causing me to almost lose control and drive into oncoming traffic. The only way to stop the shaking was to have to stop suddenly on a 2 lane road and pull off on to a very dangerous shoulder. After taking the vehicle to the selling dealership, I was informed that although I am within the warranty limits for mileage I have passed the time frame for them to be able to cover the repair costs. The service advisor did agree that it is a known issue with Jeeps and that I was just "unlucky enough to get a bad jeep". There were no warning lights, symptoms or any other possible warnings prior to the first occurrence in June of 2025.
