On November 13, 2025 at approximately 9:00 A.M. my wife was driving my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe on the Massachusetts Turnpike. Prior to making the trip to my wife's cancer appointment, the vehicle was fully charged and had a full tank of gas. Traffic was extremely heavy and was stop and go, in the area of Newton Massachusetts. My wife notified me that a alert came across the dashboard that the vehicle needed to be plugged in. At the time the vehicle had over a half tank of gas and there was no ability to pull over and charge the vehicle. There were no rest stops in the area to even try to address this issue. Without warning the vehicle shut down in the middle of the Massachusetts Turnpike at the height of rush hour morning traffic. My wife, [XXX] daughter, and I were terrified as a 18 wheeler hit his horn and nearly rear-ended us just as the vehicle shut down. The vehicle would not respond to anything. Vehicles continued to blow their horn and we were nearly struck several times. My wife called 911 immediately requesting assistance. The Massachusetts State Police responded to aid, but it was 15 terrifying minutes of angry drivers blowing their horns and we were nearly struck on several occasions. We were stuck for over 30 minutes until the tow truck arrived. I have been a police officer for 19 years and this was more terrifying than any call I responded to in my career. I feared my family was going to be killed. The vehicle was towed to Mc Govern Jeep in Newton Mass. They reported that the battery needed to be replaced and the charging system. Jeep tried to blame this on two recalls, which they do not have a remedy for. McGovern Jeep and my dealership advised me that this was not caused by anything I did as the owner. I religiously serviced this vehicle through my dealership with oil changes and tire rotations. My vehicle had been inspected and was cared for meticulously. Jeep has refused to buy back the vehicle as I refuse to put my family back in that vehicle INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFO

This is a safety recall dispute — the vehicle is under NHTSA recall 25V741000 with a fire-risk-when-parked warning and no available remedy. I’m requesting arbitration for a manufacturer repurchase OR that the leasing bank be directed to terminate the lease early without penalty.

Vehicle: 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Mileage: Approx. 67,000 Case Number with Jeep/Stellantis: 94808242 I am reporting a recurring and dangerous “death wobble” safety defect in my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. I have experienced more than 30 separate incidents of violent front-end shaking while driving, often at highway speeds. The wobble happens suddenly without warning and causes the vehicle to become difficult to control, creating a serious risk of losing control, swerving into other lanes, or causing a crash. I have three children who regularly ride in this vehicle, and these episodes have occurred while they were present. The problem has occurred under multiple road and weather conditions. I have attempted repairs including new tires and new shocks, and the issue still persists. The vehicle has been evaluated by Jeep dealership service departments and the problem has not been resolved. I have documented each event with video recordings and logs including date, time, speed, tire pressure, and temperature. The manufacturer has opened Case #94808242, but the defect remains unresolved. This is an ongoing safety hazard and the vehicle is unsafe to operate. I am requesting an investigation and formal record of this recurring safety defect.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? My 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe (VIN [XXX] ) has experienced repeated failures in the high-voltage hybrid electrical system, including “Service Hybrid System” warnings, failure to hold charge, and loss of EV function. It has also experienced a dangerous front steering damper failure at highway speed. All components remain available for inspection upon request, and the vehicle is still in my possession. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The hybrid system failures have caused repeated drivability issues, unpredictable power delivery, and warnings advising me not to operate or charge the vehicle due to potential battery-related safety risks. More critically, the steering damper failed abruptly at approximately 75 mph, causing severe front-end instability, vibration, and momentary difficulty maintaining directional control. This failure created an immediate risk of a loss-of-control crash on the highway. Being instructed not to charge the vehicle for months due to safety recalls also indicates a high-voltage battery safety risk that could endanger me, my passengers, and others. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. Multiple dealerships have documented hybrid-system faults, charging restrictions, and recall-related battery concerns. The “Service Hybrid System” fault has been observed and documented by authorized Jeep/Chrysler service centers. The steering damper failure was documented during service shortly after the highway incident, and the dealer confirmed the part had failed unexpectedly despite passing inspection less than 1,000 miles earlier. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? The defects have been repeatedly inspected and documented by Jeep/Stellantis dealerships. Stellantis has been notified directly INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION

My Jeep Wrangler 4xe displayed a ‘Service Charging System’ warning immediately after unplugging from charging. I began to drive and noticed the warning right away. I then parked and attempted to restart the vehicle, but it would not start and became completely inoperable. The vehicle had to be towed. The dealer confirmed this issue is related to the current hybrid safety recall, but Stellantis has stated that no repair is available, and it may not be available until the end of the year or the first quarter of next year. The vehicle is undrivable, and I cannot safely use or move it. Stellantis is only offering reimbursement for a rental, which I cannot access because I cannot afford to pay for a rental vehicle upfront. Reimbursement for what could be an unlimited or months-long period of rental fees is not a reasonable or accessible remedy. This leaves me without any safe or practical transportation option. I have now been without transportation for over 48 hours, and the manufacturer is not providing a reasonable remedy or safe transportation while the recall repair remains unavailable. I am filing this complaint so NHTSA can document the delay, the lack of an accessible remedy, and the manufacturer’s failure to provide a safe, timely solution for an undrivable recall-affected vehicle. I was driving on a very busy road and the vehicle lost power. I consider that my life was in danger because of me the traffic piled up and other drivers were furious with me. No matter what I tried, the car simply would not stop. AAA came and was unable to make the car start. It was towed to a dealership. Prior to this I already had two service visits related to the Start Stop warning light coming on in my dashboard. The first time, the service department claimed that they could not figure out what caused it, but they replaced the auxiliary battery that powers the start stop feature. Basically one day later, the start stop warning light came on again. I had to take it back to the dealership and they kept the vehicle for two days and I don't think anything was done. After the vehicle was returned to me, within days the warning light came on and then would go off and come back on sporadically. On the date of the complete power loss, the warning light came on in my dashboard about one hour before the power loss. So far, Jeep has said that they won't even be able to look at my vehicle for a week and it will probably take at least two weeks because they are short-staffed. I think I have a lemon.

2 major safety recalls on the vehicle. Manufacturer advised not to drive the vehicle. No solution provided. No loaner vehicle offered. This is my only vehicle, not driving it is not an option, I need transportation to and from work. I have a family. I am terrified to drive the vehicle, let alone put my kids in it. I have reached out to the dealership, Stellantis and OEM in regards to rectifying the situation with either a loaner vehicle or release me from the lease due to the vehicle not being safe to drive.

My 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe has two open safety recalls affecting the high-voltage battery and related electrical systems. The manufacturer’s instructions require that I: • park the vehicle outdoors only, • avoid parking near structures or other vehicles, and • not charge the high-voltage battery. These restrictions make normal use of the vehicle unsafe and impractical. I cannot reliably find isolated outdoor parking at home, work, or public locations. I also cannot use the electric/hybrid portion of the vehicle at all because charging is prohibited. This creates ongoing safety concerns related to potential fire risk and places limitations that prevent normal daily operation. The dealership has confirmed that both recalls are active and that no remedy is available. Stellantis/Jeep Customer Care has also confirmed that there is no repair timeline and instructed me to follow the safety restrictions. Because the vehicle cannot be repaired and the manufacturer offers no solution, I am left with a vehicle that cannot be safely charged, parked, or used in many routine situations. No dashboard warning lights appeared before I received the recall notices; the recall instructions themselves constitute the warning. The vehicle remains in my possession and is available for inspection. I am filing this complaint because the unresolved safety defects, the lack of an available remedy, and the restrictions placed on parking and charging create a significant and ongoing safety risk for myself and others. I am requesting NHTSA’s review due to the manufacturer’s inability to provide a safe, usable, and repairable vehicle.

The vehicle is subject to Safety Recall 68C involving the high-voltage battery. The manufacturer instructs owners to stop charging the vehicle and to park it outdoors, away from structures or other vehicles, due to a potential internal battery defect that may cause thermal runaway, fire, or sudden loss of propulsion. The manufacturer has stated that parts are not available and provided no timeline for repair. It is not possible to comply with the requirement to park the vehicle away from structures because the residential community where the vehicle is located prohibits street parking and does not allow parking off the driveway. As a result, there is no safe or legal way to store the vehicle that satisfies the recall instructions. This creates an ongoing fire risk to nearby structures and poses a significant safety concern for the owner, neighboring homes, and the community. The recall has effectively made the vehicle unusable, unchargeable, and unsafe to store, with no remedy currently available. I am requesting that NHTSA review this issue, as the vehicle cannot be operated or parked in accordance with the recall guidance and no remedy exists at this time.

Recall Numbers: 25V-741 (Battery Fire Risk), 25V-766 (Engine Casting Contamination) Summary of Issue: I am filing this complaint because my vehicle is subject to two urgent safety recalls, including risk of fire when parked and catastrophic engine failure. Despite contact with Jeep and my dealership, remedies have not been provided in a timely manner. The recalls remain incomplete, and been advised only to park away from structures and refrain from charging — which is not a practical or safe long-term solution. Safety Risk: The vehicle poses a fire hazard even when stationary. Engine contamination may lead to sudden propulsion loss, creating crash risk. These defects endanger both occupants and bystanders. Manufacturer Response: FCA US has acknowledged the recalls but has not provided remedies. Repairs not until 2026 Impact on Daily Life: I am a caregiver for elderly parents [XXX] , [XXX] old) and rely on safe, reliable transportation. The inability to use this vehicle safely has disrupted caregiving responsibilities and created significant hardship. NO longer driving Jeep , due to safety concerns for parents and family Requested Action: I ask NHTSA to investigate Jeep’s failure to provide timely remedies for these recalls and to ensure FCA US complies with federal safety obligations. I also request that NHTSA track and escalate this issue given the urgent fire risk and potential for catastrophic engine failure Jeep currently at dealership (Nov 17, 2025)for Recalls 68C/78C , plus Jeep dying while driving and jolting and taking off and exerting forward down the road. Previous repairs last year 2024 for Engine light remaining on which dealership replaced Charging Module , then Engine Element , Jeep heated up garage for high temperature while charging and extremely hot to touch , these previous issues could all be related to these 2 recalls , so very concerned about my safety . We leased this vehicle in 2022. About 6 months into the lease the vehicle started acting like it was overheating. My stepdaughter took the car to a mechanic and they said the coolant system shows no signs of a leak. Periodically in the time she had the vehicle these symptoms would occur. Now in the summer of this year the engine seized. She was taking the vehicle to get oil changes on time except for one time she went over the mileage due. Anyway I’ve been trying to work with the dealer about the cost of repairs and who is responsible, but in the meantime I spoke with someone who had the exact same thing happen with his jeep wrangler similar year. Now this guy works at a car auction. Been working around cars. It seems this is pretty common with Jeep Wranglers. Her Jeep has been inoperable for months now.

My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is currently subject to an active fire-risk battery recall with instructions to “park outside” and “do not charge.” There is no remedy available for my VIN at this time. The manufacturer states there is a risk of the high-voltage battery catching fire. In addition to the recall, the vehicle has exhibited violent, unsafe jolting movements during acceleration and normal driving, which is consistent with high-voltage battery or hybrid drivetrain malfunction. These unexpected surges and jolts make the vehicle feel unstable and dangerous to operate for me and my family of four. Because of the fire risk AND these sudden jolts, I do not feel safe driving this vehicle. I have attempted multiple times to work with Jeep Customer Care to initiate a Safety Recall Compensation case, but Stellantis/Jeep has repeatedly refused to open a case and continues redirecting me between departments. On 11/17 at approximately 3:20 PM, a Customer Care agent named Louie transferred me to a local dealership when I requested a supervisor, even though the dealership confirmed they cannot initiate compensation or buyback requests. Jeep Customer Care has failed to: Open a recall compensation case Escalate the safety concerns Address the violent jolting behavior Provide written communication Follow proper recall procedures At this time, I have a vehicle that is unsafe to drive, unsafe to charge, and exhibiting dangerous mechanical behavior with no available repair. I am requesting NHTSA assistance to compel Stellantis/Jeep to follow recall safety protocols and provide a remedy, compensation, or replacement for this unresolved safety defect.

While driving at highway speeds, the wheel started to wobble uncontrollably for 20-30 seconds. I lost fine control of steering had maneuver to the shoulder as I reduced speed the wobble immediately stopped. This is extremely disconcerting and dangerous. I noticed this happening months ago but wasn't sure if it was rough patches in the road or speed bumps. But almost losing control confirmed it was the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the driver’s and passenger’s side sun visors unexpectedly detached. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the sun visors had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 14,900.

I'm writing to you today concerning the Jeep 4Xe and the dangerous fire prone hybrid batteries. I'm urging you to look further into this problem and possibly consider forcing a full buyback of all 4Xe's. Jeep has issued the 3rd recall regarding fire prone batteries that may have a dangerous hardware defect. The recall again is just a software patch to attempt to identify faulty batteries. The first two recalls did not work as fires continue to happen. The fact is that Stellantis has no idea of what or how many batteries are subject to fire. It is my opinion that they have severely under estimated the true number of defective batteries. They have now stated for the past few years of the fire danger, but have yet to get control of the failures, and still continue to build them with defective batteries. Because of the obvious lack of responsibility on the part of Stellantis, the fact that they continue to knowingly and willingly sell defective Jeeps, I beg you to take a closer look and to consider forcing a buyback of all 4Xe vehicles. Stellantis is dragging their feet at the risk of death to the general public. Stellantis again says to stop charging the vehicle, which is possible, but not everyone will do it, and that also places me and others in an unsafe position due to other's actions. Parking outside and away from structures and other vehicles is not a possibility. Between my 4Xe's and my neighbors, there are four 4Xe's all within range to burn the neighborhood to the ground. How can I trust that others are taking the recommended steps to keep me safe? My 4Xe is now nothing more than a useless brick. When will this end? Please consider my request.
