There are 3 recalls on the 2024 Jeep Wranglers 4XE. They include a fire risk. We are not supposed to charge our vehicles and not park them near structures. This defeats the entire purpose of getting a electric vehicle. This car can not function for the reason it is purchased. Not being able to park in a garage as well? This is crazy! According to your website and Jeep, it has been 2 months since the first recall and there is no remedy available. I'm not sure what we are exepted to deem a "reasonable" amount of time for a remedy, but two months of nothing is plenty long in my book. Plus, when there is a remedy it will take time to book appointments then taking time off work to get this fixed. There are been many recalls concerning the jeep batteries on past models. Shouldn't this have been taken care of before the sold more? Another issue is resale value. How will I be able to get full value of my car's worth with recalls and worries of future ones?

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
While attempting to make a right turn, the accelerator would not move. This happened again when attempting to merge on the highway. This almost caused a car to run into my side when turning, and a car had to avoid me on the highway when merging. I was trying to press the gas pedal, and it would not move. This is not a mechanical issue. It is a design flaw. The gas pedal allows you to depress on the pivot point, which does not move the throttle cable. I have this video recorded and can demonstrate to any FCA/Stellantis OEM Product Safety Officer or ODI Representative.

I have experienced at least five times in which my vehicle does not start and a "service charging system" error message shows on the dash resulting in the vehicle having to be towed to Newport Jeep in Middletown RI for service. Every recall that has been issue has been "fixed"- my hybrid battery has been replaced, my high voltage wire has been replaced. I tried to pursue a buyback request and was rejected in March 2025. I am aware of the 68C safety recall and that there is no repair at this time. Again on 12/9/25 my vehicle would not start, the "service charging system" error message was on the dash and my vehicle has had to be towed back to the dealership. They are not able to diagnose the issue. I want to pursue a buyback as this vehicle is defective and unsafe.

This vehicle has a serious recall (the car can start itself on fire) and there is no fix. The value of the car tanked, and nobody wants the vehicle. I dont feel safe in the vehicle, but I am stuck in it due to unfixable recall and dealerships being unwilling to trade for it.

October 2024. While driving in city traffic, the vehicle suddenly lost propulsion. The car did not power off completely but weakened severely, making it difficult to continue driving. After approximately half a mile, propulsion recovered and the vehicle returned to normal operation. This incident occurred only once and has not repeated since.

The contact leased a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the engine overheated on several occasions while driving approximately 25-50 MPH. The driver was able to pull over safely. The temperature gauge warning light was displayed. The message “Engine Overheated – Pull Over” was displayed. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System). The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where the engine was replaced under warranty. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The recall was not repaired because parts were not available. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 22,357.

There is a major safety recall on the vehicle. It is warning customers to park away from other vehicles and structures. I park in a garage every night and also park in a large, busy parking lot every day at work. This recall is affecting the features of my vehicle. I am not able to use the hybrid which is the main reason I purchased the vehicle. I am also getting horrific gas mileage which is creating a major expense in my life that I did not have before. I have NOT received anything about this recall on my vehicle. I have had to do my own research which is pure negligence by Stellantis. I have looked into trading my vehicle in but because of this recall, it has devalued my vehicle majorly. I cannot even afford to get rid of it. I have yet to receive any notification or warning about this recall. This is incredibly unsafe for customers to be driving these vehicles with supposedly no fix.

The vehicle is affected by two unresolved safety recalls involving a high-voltage battery fire risk and potential engine contamination that may cause sudden loss of propulsion or catastrophic engine failure. The manufacturer has instructed owners not to charge the vehicle and to park it away from structures or other vehicles due to the fire hazard. No repair or remedy is currently available for either recall, and the vehicle remains in this unsafe condition. In addition to the recall issues, the vehicle has an ongoing electrical malfunction involving the infotainment display and backup camera. During normal driving, the screen frequently turns bright green, emits a loud screeching noise, and cannot be muted or controlled. The screen and backup camera also freeze intermittently while reversing, creating visibility and distraction hazards. This issue has occurred repeatedly over the past year. The problems place the safety of the occupants and the public at risk. The inability to charge the vehicle, the possibility of sudden engine failure, and the risk of fire make the vehicle unsafe to operate or park near homes, workplaces, or other vehicles. The infotainment and camera failures also impair navigation and rear visibility. The problems have been reported to the dealer, who previously acknowledged the infotainment issue and indicated the system would be replaced, but no repair was completed. Recent attempts to obtain service or a loaner vehicle have been unsuccessful. The dealer has confirmed that no remedy is available for the safety recalls. Warning symptoms include sudden screen discoloration, loud audio distortion, frozen rear-camera image, and intermittent loss of display functions. The recall-related safety hazards occur without warning. The issues have resulted in significant loss of use of the vehicle, and the manufacturer has not provided a timeline for repairs. Jeep has a design defect in vehicles equipped with the 2.0L turbocharged engine where the coolant reservoir is positioned directly adjacent to the turbocharger and turbo heat source with insufficient heat shielding. Due to the constant high heat exposure, the plastic coolant reservoir and/or connecting plastic fittings degrade, warp, and become brittle over time, eventually leading to coolant leaks, erratic coolant temperature readings, and/or sudden coolant loss. This failure often occurs without warning, and many vehicles do not initially trigger a check engine light. In my case, the vehicle exhibited intermittent coolant temperature readings, abnormal fan operation, and heating inconsistencies before the leak was discovered. Multiple repair attempts are frequently made before the root cause is identified. Mechanics often replace components such as the thermostat housing, coolant temperature sensors, or related assemblies, not realizing the coolant reservoir heat damage is the underlying cause. This results in unnecessary repairs, significant consumer expense, and extended vehicle downtime.This defect poses a serious safety risk, as coolant loss can result in: •Engine overheating •Sudden loss of power •Potential engine failure while driving •Increased risk of breakdown in traffic or unsafe driving conditions Numerous owners report similar failures, indicating this is not an isolated incident but a widespread design flaw affecting Jeep vehicles equipped with the 2.0L turbo engine.Jeep has not issued a Technical Service Bulletin or recall addressing the placement of the coolant reservoir or providing guidance to technicians to inspect for heat-related degradation in this area.I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this design defect and require Jeep to issue a Technical Service Bulletin or recall addressing this. The vehicle was properly maintained and not modified and The issue occurred at relatively low mileage.

Subject: Formal Safety Complaint – Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN ending XXX) To Whom It May Concern, My name is [XXX] , and I am filing a formal safety complaint regarding my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, leased through Stellantis Financial Services. The vehicle is currently under multiple active recalls, including a high‑voltage battery fire-risk recall (68C) and Recall 78C, with no available remedy. I have been instructed not to park the vehicle near homes or structures and not to use the EV/hybrid system, which indicates a known fire hazard. This renders the vehicle unsafe to operate or store and results in a full loss of normal use. Despite repeated attempts (9) through Jeep Customer Care, the recall center, and Stellantis Financial Services, I have received no assistance, safe alternative, loaner, or resolution. I respectfully request NHTSA intervention to require Stellantis to provide a remedy, a goodwill lease termination, a loaner vehicle, or a manufacturer-crafted safe alternative until repairs can be completed. POWER TRAIN
The referenced vehicle "jerks/jolts" while driving. It was doing this when test driven on 7/31/25 and I was told by the salesman that this was normal even though he did not ask any questions about the jerking. On 8/1/25 I picked the vehicle up (leased). Because it had a cracked windshield, I again asked about the jerking and if it had any issues at all, and, again, I was told it was fine and nothing was wrong with it. The Jeep dealer serviced the vehicle x5 between 8/5-9/26/25 and was last in their service department from 9/3-9/26/25. The engine light has never been on and during the different service visits, an alignment was done, the valve cover gasket, oxygen sensor and valve body were replaced. No car accidents have occurred, however, because the "jerking/jolting" continued after the valve body was replaced, a lemon law case was requested and has been accepted.

The Jeep has been to the dealer at least 5 times for issues with the hybrid system. Problems include low battery life, vehicle going into "limp mode" on the interstate, unable to get the vehicle over 25mph, warning lights on the instrument panel about the battery, heat and cooling system shutting off to divert coolant to the battery system due to overheating, bad odors similar to wires burning or electric motors running hot.

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle experienced the "Death Wobble". The contact stated that the front end and the steering wheel of the vehicle were shuddering violently. The contact stated that the failure had recurred several times while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where an unknown steering part was replaced. The vehicle was repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that upon opening the trunk of the vehicle, the contact noticed that there were some screws in the trunk. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the soft top frame screws had fallen out. The dealer replaced the screws. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

Fire risk. Recalls for software update. I’ve done the software update once already after my jeep wouldn’t start and had to be towed to the dealership. My engine light came on again along with a stabilizer bar warning light. The dealership said they need to do another software update again, but that there’s still no real fix for the issue. I’m dropping it off again tonight. The fact that I have to do this and to be told there’s still no real fix is ridiculous. I’d really like to get rid of my jeep at this point, but I feel stuck because who’s going to buy it with all these unresolved issues?

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. In addition, the contact noticed an abnormal burning odor inside the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failure related to the battery. The contact was informed that the unknown part needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the burning odor was still present; however, the burning odor was intermittent. The contact stated that the burning odor was like the smell of a burning firecracker. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the contact was informed that parts were not yet available. The contact was referred to an online site, which advised the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.

The jeep goes into a death wobble when it encounters small bumps at speeds above 55mph. It begins shaking violently and forces you to brake quickly. This make it very dangerous to drive on highways or interstates.

I was pulling into a parking spot outside of a Costco and suddenly the car began to accelerate uncontrollably, and I couldn't stop the car. It ended up hitting the car in front of me, pushing it out of the spot and then hit the car next to us. Fortunately, there was no one in any of the cars hit but the entire experience was completely terrifying, and someone could have been seriously injured. The police were called and there was a police report filed. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer or insurance company since it just occurred yesterday and the police said that the report wouldn't be ready for 3-5 business days. We also contacted the dealership where we purchased the vehicle, and they advised us to contact Jeep's customer service.
