ENGINE
My jeep liberty's check engine light has come on I've done every thing my obd2 scanner has said is wrong but this piece of [XXX] will not come outta limp mode so there for the rpms will not go over 2500 rpms and id like to know [XXX] is causing it to do that I've seen videos on YouTube that says it Bent valves and I need to replace with an upgraded version but I just bought this [XXX] thing and only have it maybe 2 months before it started doing this [XXX] and just paid God [XXX] $3,500 for this [XXX] God [XXX] piece of [XXX]some one please help before I put a rag in the gas tank and light that [XXX] on fire I'm [XXX] sick and tired of always getting the [XXX] end of the stick when it comes to me getting vehicles. MISFIRERS REPLACED ENGINE ONE YEAR LATER SAME PROBLEM MISFIRES TOOK TO MECHANIC REPLACED SPARK PLUGS AND COILS . DROVE 30 MILE. S CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHING, PULLED OVER TURNED ENGINE OFF.CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT SOLID FOR ANOTHER 10 MILES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARTED FLASHING AGAIN. I HAD TO PULL OVER 30 TIMES TO MAKE IT HOME. TOOK BACK TO MECHANIC REPLACED FUEL PUMP. STILL MISFIRE. THERE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH JEEPS . PLEASE RECALL .I HAVE PAIDED SO MUCH MONEY IN REPAIRS. STILL NOT FIXED.

Many Jeep vehicles have gas blow back during refueling. This problem has existed for a number of years and Jeep has issued recalls. Please read the following: If each Jeep user spills .1 gallon during refueling and they refuel the Jeep 12 times per year they spill 1.2 gallons per year. This is a very low estimate. If there are 100,000 Jeeps experiencing this problem that is 120,000 gallons of gas per year. Does anyone at NHTSA care?

The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH, the vehicle lurched to the right out of the lane. The contact stated that the vehicle lost power steering functionality and excessive force was needed to steer the vehicle back into the lane. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated the failure had become constant and had stopped driving the vehicle. The contact towed the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the rack and pinon, power steering kit, and brakes needed to be replaced. The vehicle had been repaired. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred after retrieving the vehicle from the dealer. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 109,000.

SEATS
While driving on a long trip, a burning smell was noticed. The heated seats had not been turned on, as they are rarely used & the indicator light for the heated seats was not on. When the driver stopped to inspect, the back of the seat had burned through the lumbar support pillow. The seat is severely charred and damaged through the inner foam layer of the seat. The seat will need to be replaced. The driver could have been seriously injured if the seat had caught fire. Jeep was notified, but expressed absolutely no concern & offered no assistance. An online review revealed that this is a known problem for Chrysler/Jeep (in particular Jeep Liberty) and there have been severe injuries. How many instances must occur before a safety recall occurs? We had no idea that this safety concern existed prior to our own experience.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the air bags needed to be replaced. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed of the cost to replace the air bags. The contact was informed to call the manufacturer for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that he was not the original owner and the manufacturer denied repair. Lower ball joints gave out on driver’s side while turning, snapping the wheel/tire from the car and dropping vehicle down abruptly. Dealership who fixed the lower control arm and hitch recalls, did not fix and said there was no Lower Ball Joint recall- which was a confirmed recall and lead to vehicle damage and safety hazard

The air bags didn't deploy at all. I slide on an icy bridge at 35 mph and slammed into the concrete bridge barrier. None of the airbags deployed. The Jeep was put on a scope 2 1/2 weeks before the accident with no codes read. I have severe whip lash and muscle strains in my back, neck, shoulders, and arms from the impact. I could have died. No, the problem wasn't reproduced or confirmed. The police have looked at and insurance company will be looking at the vehicle. There were no warnings at any kind prior to the failure.

The contact's husband owns a 2003 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the front driver's side suspension of the vehicle inadvertently lowered, and the tire became flat. The contact veered to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the front driver's side lower ball joint had fractured and needed to be replaced. The airbag deployed while driving down the road. Was unaware of the recall. Dealer said they can not fix because the airbag already deployed. Had minor physical injury to the left arm but definitely mental distress. Air bag light came on which it had before then 30-60 seconds later airbag deployed without warning.
