I am submitting this complaint regarding Recall 78C (NHTSA Recall 25V-766) affecting my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. The recall states that engine block casting contamination may result in catastrophic engine failure, loss of propulsion, and possible engine fire. This recall has now been open for approximately 120 days without a remedy available. Stellantis has confirmed that engineers are still working to develop a repair and that customers will be notified when a remedy becomes available. Since purchasing this vehicle in May 2024, it has been subject to five recalls within approximately 18 months of ownership: Recall 78C – NHTSA Recall 25V-766 Recall 68C – NHTSA Recall 25V-741 Recall 73C – NHTSA Recall 25V-576 Recall 28C – NHTSA Recall 25V-472 Recall D5B – NHTSA Recall 24V-944 Due to the severity of the defect described in Recall 78C and the number of recalls affecting this vehicle, my family has lost confidence in the safety and reliability of the vehicle. My wife is currently unwilling to ride in the vehicle because of the risk described in the recall. With a newborn child arriving next week, this situation has placed significant strain on our household because we are effectively operating with only one vehicle. I am submitting this complaint to document the ongoing safety concern and the extended delay in providing a remedy for this recall.

- #11722121March 4, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I own a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee that is experiencing unintended automatic braking while driving. The crash detection/forward collision warning system shows a constant warning light on the dashboard. While driving under normal conditions with no obstacles present, the vehicle will suddenly brake on its own. This has occurred multiple times and now happens almost daily. The problem first occurred on November 26, 2024, the same day I purchased the vehicle used with approximately 34,158 miles. The issue has continued as the mileage has increased to approximately 51,500 miles. This creates a serious safety risk because the vehicle can suddenly brake in the middle of traffic without warning, which could cause another vehicle to collide with the rear of my vehicle. I am concerned about the risk of a crash or injury. The problem has been reported to the dealership multiple times since purchase. The vehicle has been in the shop for repair attempts, but the issue has not been permanently corrected. The warning light remains on and the unintended braking continues to occur during normal driving. The vehicle is currently available for inspection.

- #11722076March 4, 2026VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, POWER TRAIN, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Powertrain/engine performance (acceleration control): vehicle struggles to accelerate when pressing the gas. Transmission / drivetrain (gear engagement / shift control): vehicle drops from Reverse into Neutral without driver input (unintended gear disengagement). Water intrusion: ongoing water intrusion, power tailgate was already replaced due to water erosion, when it rains or snows water gets into vehicle resulting in a musty/moldy smell and driver side mat soaking wet. Yes — the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The loss of acceleration / hesitation / jolting creates a risk of being unable to merge, cross intersections, or accelerate in traffic when needed. The unintended shift from Reverse into Neutral can cause loss of intended vehicle control/movement while reversing (driveway/parking lot risk), increasing collision risk with nearby vehicles, pedestrians, or property. Reverse → Neutral: Reported to dealer multiple times; confirmation varies by visit (intermittent concern) Stellantis Customer Retention states they spoke with the service manager and confirmed the repair history and dealer visits, not necessarily a physical engineer inspection.

- #11721468March 2, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, STEERING, LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION
The rear trunk opening while the vehicle is in motion The vehicle shutting down while driving at speeds over 40 mph, failing to recognize that it is moving The radio and infotainment system freezing for days at a time The vehicle frequently dying and becoming completely inoperable Situations where the vehicle cannot be jump-started because it sparks, while all doors remain locked, leaving me with no way to access the car The car showing different & random amounts of fuel levels in the vehicle. None of which are accurate. It will show a half full tank with 157 miles left and within 10 minutes it then says I have a full tank with 342 miles left & it continues to change inaccurately.

- #11721454March 2, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE, POWER TRAIN
The vehicle has experienced repeated electrical failures. On multiple occasions the vehicle would not start and lost all electrical power. The main electrical system appears to fail suddenly, causing the vehicle to become inoperable. The vehicle has been to the dealership multiple times for the same issue and was out of service for extended periods. This is a serious safety concern because the vehicle can completely shut down without warning.

- #11721365March 2, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, SERVICE BRAKES, POWER TRAIN
The vehicle has now experienced two complete electronic system failures while driving at approximately 45 miles per hour. During both events, all dashboard warning lights illuminated, and I lost power steering and brake assist. The engine remained running during the failure, but vehicle control systems were disabled. The first repair was documented as a disconnected electrical component, but the same full failure has occurred again. I consider this a serious safety defect, and I do not feel safe operating the vehicle

- #11721329March 2, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, SEATS, SEAT BELTS
I am submitting this complaint because my vehicle’s driver seat has a dangerous and unpredictable defect that creates an immediate safety hazard. While the vehicle is in motion, the driver’s seat will suddenly and randomly move forward without warning, pushing the driver into the steering wheel and crushing the leg and footwell area. This is not a minor adjustment issue—it is a sudden mechanical movement that physically forces the driver into an unsafe position while actively operating the vehicle. This has occurred at highway speeds and in heavy traffic, which makes the situation extremely alarming. When the seat unexpectedly moves forward, the driver is forced closer to the steering wheel, restricting movement and making it difficult to properly steer, brake, or maintain control of the vehicle. In those moments, the driver’s ability to safely operate the vehicle is compromised. The only way we have been able to stop the seat from continuing to move forward is to perform an emergency maneuver, pull the vehicle over, completely shut the vehicle off, and restart it in order to reset the system. Until the vehicle is fully turned off and restarted, the seat will not return to its normal position. The vehicle has been taken to the dealership twice after the check engine light came on. Each time, we were told the light was being triggered by the “comfort seat module.” However, despite the system indicating an issue with the comfort seat module, the dealership stated they could not find any problems with the seat or the module itself. This situation is extremely frightening and dangerous. A driver being physically forced forward into the steering wheel while traveling at highway speeds creates a serious risk of losing control of the vehicle. This defect puts not only the occupants of the vehicle at risk, but also other motorists and pedestrians sharing the roadway. This issue needs to be investigated before someone is seriously injured or worse. No driver should have

All of the inside door handles have broken under normal circumstances. It's almost impossible to open the doors and that to me could become a safety concern for a number of reasons. Especially if involved in an accident. Thank you for your attention to this complaint. God bless.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report a serious safety defect regarding the Active Head Restraint (AHR) system in my vehicle. On 11/28/25 the headrest deployed spontaneously while I was operating the vehicle. Incident Details: • No Collision: There was no impact, collision, or sudden braking event that would trigger a safety deployment. • Safety Risk: The forceful deployment occurred without warning, striking me in the back of the head. • System Failure: The internal plastic bracket responsible for holding the spring-loaded mechanism failed—a documented issue in many similar Stellantis vehicles. I contacted a certified Jeep dealership and Stellantis customer service regarding this failure. They have declined to provide a remedy, repair or reimbursement the component under any "goodwill" or extended warranty program, stating that my specific VIN is not included in existing service bulletins or recalls. Request for Action: The "VIN-specific" limitation is arbitrary when the mechanical failure is identical to those in recalled units. A safety component that deploys violently without an accident is a defect, regardless of whether the manufacturer has acknowledged that specific production batch yet. I request that the NHTSA investigate this failure as part of an expansion of existing inquiries into Stellantis AHR systems. I have attached photos/repair quote of the deployed unit for your records. Sincerely,

- #11721205February 28, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Since I first leased my vehicle in May of 2023, I have received over 7 safety recalls. At least 2 of which are related to the main battery of the hybrid power system. Ever since I got the first one, I was recommended to park my car outside my house for risk of fire while parked. The latest recall, which has not been resolved involved the battery again and after taking the car to the dealer, the battery did not pass the test and the dealer requested I leave the car with them and advised this will take about a month to correct if they can correct it at all.

My 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe (VIN [XXX] ) has been out of service since [XXX] due to Recall 68C involving the high-voltage battery fire risk, as well as Recall 73C (hybrid control processor software). The vehicle was delivered to the dealership on January 6, 2026 and has remained in their possession continuously with no firm repair completion date provided. The primary recall involves a high-voltage battery defect that presents a potential fire hazard. As of today, the vehicle has been out of service for more than 45 days. I have been deprived of use of the vehicle due to an unresolved safety recall and lack of available repair remedy or parts. This complaint is being filed to document the prolonged inability to repair a federally recognized safety defect and the extended out-of-service period.
