My car is a plug in hybrid and hybrid batteries have molars been replaced prematurely. This car has completely lost all power 3 times while I was driving and I had to have it towed to a Jeep certified dealer and it shat in the shop for 18 weeks. It has been in the shop 6 times and I haven’t even had it a year. It has had multiple recalls on this car and it’s still scary to drive. I don’t feel safe in it at all.

Issue 1: After several recalls - the battery issue still remains. Often not kicking in and leaving a power deficit (loss of motive power). The gap is short, but when low speed on battery and you push the accellerator to merge/turn, etc. and there is a delay - it can cause an accident. Issue 2: The investigation of alerts of pedestrians - happens intermittently. There has never been a fix. Issue 3: The tire pressure monitoring system fails to read intermittently - a warning on the dash indicates it is not working and to get it checked. Dealership has noted problem, but never fixed. Still occurs 3+ years. Issue 4: Radio/infotainment system blanks out or becomes unresponsive. When relying on this device for navigation, that becomes a problem.

Despite having the EGR replaced under recall the unit still exploded while driving on wed 4 Mar 2026. Fluids were leaking and had indicated issues with the electric shifter. The local dealerships states the egr cooler needs replaced, coolant tank, DPF and oil change (despite just being done the Saturday before). Refusing to acknowledge any connection to previous recall or associated damages. Contacted FCA customer support and ignored my concerns and said just pay the dealer the $6000+.

known software glich known as "the Italian Bug" Car switches to Italian and disables FCW, paddle shifting and changes many features to metric, farenheit to celsius, psi to kpa, mph to kilometers, many features can be reset but not FCW and Paddle Shifting. It's unknown what other features get disabled but this all causes significant driver distraction trying to reset everything while driving as they are encountered. Jeep has multiple TSBs on this with no known permanent fix.

See attached document for complaint. Safety Recall 68C / NHTSA 25V-741- High-Voltage Battery Fire Risk On or about November 6, 2025, FCA issued Safety Recall 68C / NHTSA 25V-741, advising owners of a high-voltage battery fire risk. The recall notice explicitly states: • "A vehicle fire can result in increased risk of occupant injury and injury to persons outside the vehicle." • "Owners are advised to refrain from recharging." • "FC~ US is advising owners to park away from structures or other vehicles until the remedy is obtained." • "The remedy for this condition is not currently available." These instructions effectively prohibit safe and normal use of a plug-in hybrid vehicle and raise serious concerns regarding public safety and property risk. Page 1 of 4 Dealer Visit and Lack of Remedy On December 3, 2025, I presented t he vehicle to an authorized Jeep dealer: Bob Johnson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram - Watertown 18712 US-11, Watertown, NY 13601 Phone: (315) 965-8072 Contact: John (Service Manager) The dealer confirmed that no repair remedy existed at that time. I requested a formal repair order documenting the visit and recall status; however, the dealer refused to provide a repair order, instead offering only a coverage report indicating the recall as active with "Parts not available." Despite my explanation that documentation was required under New York State law, the dealer declined to issue a repair order. Manufacturer Contact Issues On December 3, 2025, I attempted to contact Jeep Cares to open a warranty or recall case. On two occasions, my calls were disconnected. A case was event ua lly opened: • Jeep Case Number: [XXX] I was later notified around December 24, 2025 t hat a potential remedy might be available involving a software reflash and possible high-voltage battery replacement. On December 29, 2025, I contacted t he dealer to schedule service. The earl iest available appointment was January 14, 2026, despite explaining the seriousness of the fire risk and safety warnings. The contact owns a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 MPH, the vehicle suddenly jolted, lost power, and went into LIMP Mode, almost causing a rear-end crash. The message "Service Electronic Throttle Control" was displayed. The vehicle was pulled over to the shoulder and inspected, but no cause was immediately determined. The vehicle was driven to the residence in LIMP Mode. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where codes associated with the crankshaft position sensor and intake manifold runner were retrieved, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V475000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 256,000.

- #11722336March 5, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, ENGINE
On September 15–16, 2025, my vehicle was serviced at AutoNation CDJR North Columbus, where the technician documented: “Oil filter housing failed internally.” •No repair, replacement, or warning was provided to me about the risk of catastrophic engine failure. •I was not presented a signed repair decline form. •Internal failure was documented but not escalated. On February 13, 2026, the engine failed completely, rendering the vehicle inoperable. The dealership quoted ~$13,094.83 for engine replacement but did not authorize repair. During this time, oil and coolant leaks were observed, indicating continued mechanical risk and potential safety hazards.

Vehicle recently had recall 68c completed. Was driving in electric mode on the highway at approximately 55mph. Upon pressing accelerator further to increase speed to pass another vehicle, I lost all electric power and the vehicle lost speed down to 40mph, despite accelerator pedal being pressed to the floor. Approx 3-5 seconds later, gas engine started, revved high, vehicle lunged forward to 65mph, continued to accelerate after releasing accelerator pedal, and was able to be slowed by pressing brake. This same situation was replicated 9 hours later on the same highway. Dealer claims this is "normal operation."

- #11722276March 5, 2026SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE
On February 28, 2026, while preparing to leave our home with our two children in the vehicle, we experienced a critical vehicle malfunction. Upon attempting to start the car, all dashboard warning lights illuminated, including transmission error, “service needed,” and “automatic emergency braking system needs service.” The battery warning light was also on. The vehicle would not start initially. After eventually starting the car, we temporarily placed it in neutral and pushed it out of the garage, during which the brakes functioned normally. The vehicle was briefly driven and appeared operational, but due to ongoing safety concerns and multiple recalls, we parked it at the top of our driveway. On the following day, the vehicle would not start again. We arranged for it to be towed to the dealership. On March 2, 2026, when the tow truck arrived, the car’s position prevented loading onto the truck. Multiple jump-start attempts failed initially, then briefly started the vehicle, but it immediately shut off again. We placed the vehicle in neutral using the manual override and tested the brakes, which initially showed stiffness but were operational. While attempting to move the vehicle to allow tow truck access, the brakes suddenly failed. Despite pressing the brake pedal fully and brake lights being illuminated, the vehicle did not stop and rolled uncontrollably into our garage. Consequences: •Garage property damage: approximately $11,000 •Personal injury: my father-in-law fell while the vehicle rolled out of control •Vehicle remains at dealership with an open case, but the situation remains unresolved Safety Concern: This incident raises serious safety concerns regarding the reliability of the braking system and vehicle electronics. The vehicle became uncontrollable while brakes were applied, posing a direct risk of injury or death to occupants and others. We fear that similar failures could occur under normal driving conditions, including highway speeds.
