SummaryClunking when going over bumps, potholes, or turns. During diagnosis dealers may find rubber separating from the bushing on the handling link (SOL S2102000004 Rev C. for reference). This is normal and most likely is not attributed to the noise. Please follow normal diagnosis and ensure all tie-rod and ball joints are properly torqued and if worn, replace. If diagnosis leads to lower control arm replacement, the tension link(s) should be replaced first then test driven to ensure noise has disappeared before any handling link replacements.

SummaryBefore replacing the steering column control module (SCCM) due to wipers inop, wipers not turning off, wipers not returning to position, heated steering wheel not working and/or steering controls inop, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) light on, please follow these steps: 1.- Review if there is any active DTC. Refer to service library procedure and follow diagnosis steps. 2.- If failure still present, make sure all the switches', horn's, heated steering wheel, airbag's harness are properly connected and there is no corrosion or pinching, disconnect the switches & reconnect them, and reverify the issue. 3.- Verify if failure is still present, review if there is lack of communication between SCCM and BCM. For example, activate turn signals or wipers. 4.- Read at the BCM diagnosis session if BCM is receiving information from SCCM. Through diagnosis review if activation from horn, wipers or turn signal is requested and are working. 5.- Disconnect the SCCM fuse for around 30s,and repeat the previous steps to see if failure still present. 6.- Do a hard reset to BCM and evaluate if any DTC is set. Retest if failure still present. Review the active DTCs. 7.- Before replacing the SCCM disconnect it and reconnect it again. Note: Wipers position is not controlled by SCCM, verify motor wiper status if issue continues. If request from SCCM is sent to BCM, then verify if the communication to wipers is not working properly. If there are no DTC's active, physical defects, steering controls inop, wipers inop, heated steering wheel inop, then SCCM does not need to be replaced. Note: WL / WS SCCMs do not contain a Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) The Steering Angle is computed within the Electronic Power Steering (EPS) module. See Electronic Power Steering (EPS) module for diagnosis and repair procedures.

SummaryIssue: complaint of rattle from exhaust Before replacement: Check for loose exhaust Aluminum isolator brackets (check if the bracket is movable by hand/bolts not fully fastened to the vehicle). If loose, tighten and check to see if the rattle is still present. Check clearances between exhaust components and isolators brackets, as well as other parts of the vehicle. If the hanger braces (additional rods welded to the hanger rod for strengthening) are bottomed out on the isolator, loosen the clamps joining the catalytic-side and muffler-side systems and slide the muffler side exhaust back 5mm. Take care not to damage the system, do not use a hammer to break the muffler side free. Re-tighten and check for rattles again. If the rattle is still present, replace the system.
