When using the backseat armrest and cup holders, if you have a hot coffee, to go, from let’s say Starbucks, no matter the size, it will come out of the cup holder in certain turns, when the car is moving. It’s spilled multiple times on my kids and a friend, who had scalding on their hands. This is very unsafe and the cup holders need to be deeper, they are very shallow, to hold to go cups, even sodas from McDonald’s will come out of the cup holders when the car is turning at medium speeds around corners, 30 MPH or so.

While driving on Rt.119 through Uniontown PA, I was going 60-65 mph on a four lane road passing a cat on the right. I was about 3/4 of the way passing the car when three emergency braking kicked in and applied full braking. The road was straight, there was no vehicle or other obstruction in the road. This happened at approximately 3:30 P.M on 11/14/2025 with overcast sky and dry conditions. This caused the full sized tractor trailer behind me to lock up his brakes to attempt to not hit me. The only thing I can think of that kept me from getting hit, was I was able to hit the gas pedal.

- #11699127November 13, 2025TIRES
Continental ProContact RX 235/40 R18 91W DOT 1A3 OFBK7W 25 Honda Civic Touring Hybrid 4 mths old, 2300 miles brand new car On Sun Oct 19 approx 11:30am traveling on I95 N at SC/NC border this Conti tire mounted on LR blew out suddenly causing the 25 Honda to fishtail on the hwy. I gained control of vehicle and safely pulled to the side of I95. Honda Roadside refused to tow the vehicle because local Honda dealers were closed on Sunday. I called AAA and towed to car to local Walmart in Dillon SC who mounted a different brand but correct size tire. I completed my tiip to Arlington VA. The Walmart service manager showed me the tire where the inside sidewall had completely detached from the main tire tread but was in one piece separated from but but still on the rim. Based on this incident these tires are UNSAFE AND SHOULD BE RECALLED ---HONDA SHOULD BE SANCTIONED FOR ALLOWING THEM TO BE INSTALLED ON THEIR NEW CARS

Vehicle: 2025 Honda Civic Touring Hybrid - Continental ProContact tires On Sun Oct 19 11:30am while driving N on I95 at SC/NC border at hwy speeds in heavy traffic the LR tire/rim exploded causing the car to spin out and nearly cause a serious accident. I was able to bring the car under control and pull to the side of the road. The car was nearly new 4 mths old w/2300 miles. The tires/rims were in new condition. Honda roadside service refused to tow the car under their roadside policy. I called Triple A and paid out of pocket to have the car towed to Walmart who installed an off brand tire of the same size that I was able to continue to Virginia. While examining the tire/rim at Walmart service they showed me how the complete inside sidewall of the tire completly separated in 1 piece from the rest of the tire/rim. THESE CONTINENTAL PROCONTACT TIRES ARE A DANGEROUS SAFETY HAZARD AND HONDA SHOULD RECALL THE VEHICLES AND REPLACE THEM WITH A DIFFERENT BRAND, PREFERABLY MICHELIN. I've contacted Honda USA customer relations and so far they have refused to take any action or cover my tow & temp tire replacement cost nor accept responsibility to replace the dangerous Continental tires. I currently have the bad tire in my possession for Honda/NHTSA inspection.

- #11698508November 10, 2025ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The contact owns a 2026 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would not independently stop as intended or detect other nearby vehicles. A message "System Not working - See Dealer" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed; however, the cause of the failure was not identified. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, Honda of Indian Trail (4918 W Hwy 74Indian Trail, NC 28079) for a second opinion, where it was determined that the Collision Mitigation Braking System had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 300.

Car won’t go into gear. Unable to drive. Smoke smell inside cabin. Dealer states likely a clutch/clutch plate issue. Apparently, reported on previous year model with a tsb but not on the 2022 one. Need to tow car to dealership now

Numerous defects in my 2024 Honda Civic Sport. I leased this vehicle in January 2024 for 36 months (with a $4,675 down payment and $284.62 monthly payments). From early in the lease, the car has been plagued with serious problems. Below is a chronological list of the issues my vehicle has experienced: Gearbox replacement – Feb 3, 2025 (12,792 miles): The vehicle’s transmission/gearbox failed catastrophically and was replaced under warranty. Axle boots replacement – Feb 19, 2025 (13,384 miles): Soon after, the front axle boots were found to be defective (leaking) and were replaced. Climate control panel failure (moisture damage) – Mar 6, 2025 (13,892 miles): The climate control and infotainment panel stopped functioning due to moisture intrusion and had to be replaced. Refusal to diagnose vibration issue – June 27, 2025 (18,116 miles): I reported a persistent and concerning vibration during driving (which could indicate an unresolved powertrain or suspension issue), but the dealership refused to perform a diagnostic or address it, returning the car to me without resolution. Steering wheel damage & falsified report – June 30, 2025: During a service visit, dealership personnel damaged the steering wheel and then provided a false report that inaccurately stated the damage was pre-existing, instead of taking responsibility. Ongoing audio system malfunctions – (continuing issue): The car’s audio system suffers from frequent USB/Bluetooth disconnections, which have persisted despite multiple service visits. The car's lane assist is triggered at random during drives almost causing several auto accidents. Every one of these issues is documented through repair orders and correspondence. I have maintained a file with all relevant service records, emails with the dealer (Honda of Van Nuys), and photographic evidence (such as photos of the steering wheel after the damage on June 30, 2025). These docs are available

I have received 2 recalls regarding my steering rack. I did have the gear box worm wheel spring replaced but that did not solve the problem my steering was sticking, hard to turn , clunking it would veer off to the right. I took it back to Honda dealer and was told it was dangerous to drive my whole power steering rack needed to be be replaced but Honda said it was not part of the recall I had to pay for the repair. They did give me a discount but my car experienced all the system under the recall to replace the power steering. My Honda is a 2023 and I had to pay over $2000 to have fixed. I would like to know why my car is not included in this recall.

The vehicle has 42,070 miles on it. It was being driven and suddenly the clutch started to slip. Then, when trying to pull away after a stop, the vehicle only was able to travel at 8 miles/hour in first gear. No messages were received before the clutch failed. Vehicle was towed to a local repair shop and we were given a quote to replace clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate. We then had it towed to a Honda repair center to seek assistance from Honda on the repair because the clutch failed at such low mileage and they diagnosed the cause as premature wear and tear. We know that a bulletin was put out in September 2022 regarding clutch failures with certain Honda Civic Sport models from 2020 and 2021, so we asked Honda for support. They declined because the 2022 model was not covered by the bulletin, even though our Honda had already been produced before that bulletin was released. We believe that our issue is related to the issues with the 2020 and 2021 models and have found that other 2022 and 2023 owners have experienced similar failures. We have included our request letter and escalation request, as well as the repair quote from Zeigler Honda Racine, WI.

Brakes I wasn't able to stop when I got to the intersection. My emergency brake system never turned on and stop me from hitting the rear of the ambulance. I had called my sales man that I buy my cars from about a week after buying the car and advised him that something popped up on my dash and he adviced me to take the car back to the dealer to have it checked out so I did and they said there was nothing wrong with it. So I left and about 2 or 3 weeks later it came back on and before I could take it back to dealer I had the accident. Also what popped up on my dash was that my view was being obscured but it was day light perfectly clear. I do have a picture of what popped up on my phone.

On August 5, 2025, my 2023 Honda Civic Sport (VIN: [XXX] ) was involved in a minor collision at approximately 5–10 mph. The vehicle sustained only cosmetic damage—no intrusion into the engine bay, and no damage to wheels, tires, or suspension. However, the Honda dealership diagnosed the brake master cylinder and brake booster as “broken due to impact.” These components were replaced, and the repair cost was billed to my insurance company. This diagnosis is highly questionable given the nature of the impact and the lack of visible or structural damage to braking components. I have since learned that 2020–2022 Honda Civic models were subject to a recall related to premature failure of the brake master cylinder and booster. Although my car is a 2023 model, the failure of these components under such minor impact conditions suggests that the same or similar defective parts may have been used. If this is the case, it presents a significant safety risk. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether: 1. The 2023 model brake components are affected by similar defects as earlier model years. 2. This incident is part of a broader pattern that warrants further manufacturer investigation or recall. Please investigate this issue for the safety of other Honda Civic owners. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
