Engine has a crack block on the front. It is a known issue but it is past the warranty that honda offered. I think they should extend the warranty more.

Sticky steering due to faulty eps gearbox. Recall is for 2022-2025 but many 2021 are affected. Steering is stiff and difficult, constant corrections being made just trying to steer straight, steering wheel does not want to return to zero position after taking a curve. Steering gets worse when it's cold out or after some rain due to the moisture.

Transmission failure. Known problem on these vehicles. Why did they only recall a certain number from this year? And now my transmission has failed just like many others

The steering system in my 2021 Honda Civic appears to be malfunctioning, causing the steering wheel to feel "sticky" when making small adjustments while driving on the highway. This issue is most noticeable at speeds between 45-70 mph, where the steering momentarily resists movement before suddenly adjusting, making it difficult to maintain smooth lane control. The steering system appears to be the affected component. The Issue seems to be with the EPS not having enough grease which there is a recall for 2022-2025 models. This problem puts my safety and the safety of others at risk because it reduces my ability to make precise steering corrections, especially at highway speeds. The delayed response in the steering makes the vehicle feel unstable, increasing the potential for unintended lane deviations or overcorrections. There were no warning lights, messages, or prior symptoms before this issue began occurring.

At the start of the summer in 2023, I noticed that my AC was only blowing hot air (during >110 degF Phoenix summer). I took it to a Brakes Plus on 4/7/2023 and had an evac and recharge service performed along with a leak test. The test detected a leak from the condenser, and I had the Brakes Plus shop replace that part. At the start of the summer of 2024 I was back at Brakes Plus with the same issue, my AC had gradually reverted to blowing only hot air. At that time, I did another evac and recharge service along with a leak test that was not able to detect any issues. Most recently, on 2/28/2025, I took my car to Brakes Plus again due to the same issue with my car AC only blowing hot air. This time, the technicians performed a leak test and saw signs of a leak near the compressor shaft in the form of dye found splattered around that area. So, that prompted us to find the warranty extension for the AC compressor shaft seal. So, I figured this time I would stop and take it to the Bell Honda Service Center to confirm that finding. I then set up an appointment with the Bell Honda Service Center in Phoenix on 3/1/2025. I was told that the only way to check for any leaks in my system would of course be to do an evac and recharge of the system and add some of the dye needed to detect any leak. That cost me ~$320. The diagnosis from the Bell Honda Service Center did NOT find any signs of leakage near the compressor shaft seal and I was not allowed the same courtesy of showing me that in person (or even via a picture) as I had been offered at Brakes Plus. Instead, the diagnosis suggested that my new issue was excessive build up of freon in the evaporator, resulting in a leak, which I was also not visually demonstrated. I asked if there was any warranty eligibility for the evaporator and was able to confirm at the dealership that there was no warranty extension or recall for the evaporator at the moment. However, I did hear of numerous reports of similar evaporator issues.

I received a recall notice for my vehicle in November 2024, and immediately called Honda to schedule an appointment for repair. My original date for the recall repair was scheduled for 12/7/24. Days before the repair was scheduled to take place, Honda called me to cancel my appointment and claimed that they did not have the available parts needed to complete the job. I asked to reschedule my appointment and the dealer refused, claiming that parts were back-ordered. I was told that they would call me during the first week of January 2025 to reschedule. When the dealer did not reach out to me, I called them several times and left messages. My calls were not returned. Finally, I was able to get someone from the Parts Department on the phone, who claimed that there was a national back-order on the necessary parts for the repair. I expressed concern for my safety as my steering wheel has been locking up for the past several months, but was told that there was nothing I could do but wait. It is now March 2025, 4 months after I received the recall notice, and I am still without an appointment. Despite my repeated appeals for help, Honda continues to endanger my family and me by refusing to repair my vehicle in a timely manner.

Steering feels like it is sticking slightly left of center. Noticing it more as weather is becoming warmer. It happens at slower speeds, but is more noticeable when I’m driving at faster speeds. When making small adjustments while driving, the steering wheel seems to stick/not operate smoothly. When it gets past the sticking point, it causes oversteer, making me have to overcorrect in the opposite direction. It feels very unsafe to drive, especially at higher speeds. Upon researching, I see this is a common problem and that there are recalls within my year model for this exact issue, but, upon searching my VIN, it doesn’t seem my car is included in the recall. I’m terribly concerned that this defect in the steering is going to lead to an accident. Hopefully, since I’m seeing many of this issue reported in cars not currently included in the recall, the recall will be expanded to include all of our vehicles.

When driving at highway speed the steering will get stiff and stick. This causes me to put more pressure on the wheel resulting in over correction. It has gotten to the point where it’s unsafe to drive. I’ve read about this issue online. Problem w worm gear in steering rack.

- #11645462February 28, 2025VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
The adaptive cruise control is the safety issue. It creates danger for both me and for others. Traveling at speeds approximately 65-70 mph the car suddenly brakes very hard. Causes me and my passengers to be jolted extremely hard. Its happened 3 times, I was fortunate enough to not have anybody traveling behind me. If a car was to be traveling behind me at a safe distance the sudden braking would cause them to rear end me. I can only imagine how horrible the injuries could be. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by dealership. I have an appt. scheduled March 4.2025 at the local Honda dealership. There was no warning lamps that came on. There was no messages also no symptoms prior to these incident.happens for unknown reason. This issue has occurred on 3 separate occasions. The most recent one was on Feb.17, 2025.

Steering wheel seems to stick when car has been running for 30-40 miles. When going straight and making slight adjustments it sticks then jerks causing oversteering. Because of the mileage required to get this to occur the independent mechanic has been unable to replicate. I no longer feel safe taking this vehicle on the freeway or on any road trip.

Not sure what component is causing the issue but steering is sticky. For subtle movements or corrections there will be resistance. This is causing jerky movements while driving which could cause an accident in the future.

Purchased a brand new 2025 Honda Civic a few months ago. Vehicle was impacted by the high pressure full pump in December. I had to get my vehicle towed to a dealership, and after further diagnostic, they concluded it was related to the active recall on my car. Vehicle has been sitting untouched for 2 months now, and no remedy to fix my car. Extremely disappointed in Honda as I’m paying for a car that I can’t even drive.

Electric Rack n Pinion had to be replaced due to it binding while driving greater than 40 mph. Was a safety issue as the steering wound get 'stuck' trying to make adjustments to stay in the lane. Causing over steering. It started in January and continuely worsened. I believe there is a recall for later models with the same issue, why not 2016's? Cost me approximately $4,000 to replace.
