The contact stated that her husband had observed several unknown warning lights illuminated on the instrument cluster. The contact stated that her husband had the vehicle towed to a local dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that the High-Pressure Fuel Pump had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V763000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 170,000.

The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that the recall part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Additionally, an appointment was scheduled with the dealer for the recall repair of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V763000 (Fuel system Gasoline). The contact stated that the message "Warning - Range in Fuel" was later displayed. The contact stated that there was approximately 3 quarts of fuel in the vehicle. Upon attempting to use my air conditioner for the 1st time this year I found that it would only blow out hot air. Contacted the dealer who said they would charge me $160 to look at it. I ended up contacting another car repair shop who took it in and did a full check and found that the compressor had no damage but was leaking freon that they had to add because my car had NONE. The car is only 2 years old. Upon further research I found that several hundred thousand 10th gen Hondas were given extended warranties to 100,000 miles because of the same exact issue. I called the dealer back about this and they said that my car is 11th gen so not part of this extended warranty. It appears obvious to me that this problem continues with this new 11th gen. People should be warned. This is a huge expense and it's simply unacceptable for a 2 year old car.

STEERING
The steering feels like it's sticking slightly to the left of center, and I've been noticing it more as the weather gets warmer. It primarily occurs at slower speeds but becomes more pronounced at higher speeds. When making small adjustments while driving, the steering wheel doesn’t move smoothly and seems to stick. Once it passes the sticking point, it causes oversteer, forcing me to overcorrect in the opposite direction. This makes driving, especially at higher speeds, feel very unsafe. Through my research, I’ve found that this is a common issue, and there are recalls for this exact problem in my vehicle’s model year. However, after checking my VIN, it appears my car is not included in the recall. I'm deeply concerned that this steering defect could lead to an accident. Given the numerous reports of the same issue in vehicles not currently covered by the recall, I hope the recall will be expanded to include all affected cars.

Car was purchased new on Jan 16,2025. On Feb 25,2025 the car spontaneously burst into flames while driving on the highway during rush hour traffic. Car was pulled over to the center median and exited while flames were engulfing the passenger seat. Fire department responded and put out the fire, but car is a total loss. Could have caused significant injury or death to the driver or other motorists. Insurance representative inspected the car and suspects failure of the high pressure fuel pump. There was a recall on this model on October 14, 2024 for this problem, and a stop sale order on Jan 17, 2025 but we were not notified. There is no reported VIN range on either recall.

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Civic. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 24V744000 (STEERING) and 23V704000 (STEERING); however, the parts to do the recall repair were not yet available. The contact stated while driving at 35 MPH, the steering wheel failed to respond. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact merged to the side of the road as the steering wheel kept veering to the left. On a separate occasion, the contact was driving at 35 MPH, when the vehicle veered too much into the left, causing the contact to crash into a barrier. No police report was filed. The two left wheels were damaged, and the vehicle was taken to a body shop. The two left wheels were repaired and the vehicle was painted however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed with steering rack assembled incorrectly and left wheel failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 32,000.

There are two recalls for my vehicles numbers 24V-763, and 24V-744. The dealerships has had me on a waitlist. Im concered about the safety pf driving my vehicle, especially since i have a baby. Is my vehicle safe to operate? The dealership told me the recall isnt important and they dont have availability on parts to fix the issues. I need a vehicle that is safe to operate. Iv also had other issues with the car that i have filed a separate complaint about.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
When traveling with cruise control enable the vehicle random slams on the brakes by itself even when their is no vehicle present in front. This has happened mutiple times on the highway and interstate. It has almost gotten me rearened from a vehicle deiving behind me. This is extremely dangerous. I made the dealership aware of the issue and they refused to address it.

I received notice of the recall for my car more than six months ago, and since then, I have been trying to schedule an appointment at the Honda dealership in Paramus, NJ. However, they always tell me that the replacement part is unavailable and that they will call me back. It has now been at least six months, and my car is losing power and consuming more fuel than usual. For my safety and the safety of others, I request that this issue be resolved as soon as possible. Thank you.

Received a recall letter that the part was finally available for repair back in October 2024 and every time I contact my local Honda dealer, they generally give me the answer to call back next month to schedule when it’s in their physical stock. Called today, now March and the Service rep said they’ll call me when the part becomes available. It’s been well over 60 days and haven’t been able to drive my car distance for safety concerns since most travel is on the NJ parkway.

The contact owns a 2016 Honda Civic. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. In addition, the contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed a strong fuel odor around the exterior of the vehicle. In addition, the contact noticed a strong fuel odor on the interior of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with fuel pump failure. The contact was informed that the fuel pump assembly and filter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact was unclear if the failure was due to a fuel leak. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 82,379.

The contact owned a 2021 Honda Civic. The contact stated that his wife was driving at 30-35 MPH, when another vehicle suddenly merged in front of the vehicle causing a T-bone collision. The vehicle was pushed into the middle of the road from the impact where it came to a stop. All air bags deployed. However, the front passenger-side air bag deployed backward onto the front windshield instead of deploying forward. The contact was unsure whether there was a warning light illuminated. A police report was not filed. EMS was called however, refused to take the contact and his wife to the hospital. The contact's wife sustained unknown injuries and was pending an MRI. The contact sustained whiplash and no medical attention was sought. The insurance company towed the vehicle to a storage location and deemed the vehicle a total loss. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 78,000.

STEERING
Steering sticks in certain position to the left and has to be forcefully reentered (there's also a clunking noise that the steering makes when this problem occurs). Problem began about a year ago and I have taken vehicle in to be repaired multiple times. I believed it was a tire issue at first, however, after a few weeks ago I was assured that the tires was not the problem. This feature is incredibly dangerous as when wheel is forcefully recentered sometimes you haev to overadjust and you might almost hit someone near you. Extremely dangerous and I hope you guys take this issue seriously. I have visited many other threads and I see that in the state of florida alone theres about 10 other people who have the SAME EXACT issue.
