Seem to be experiencing sticky steering while vehicle is in motion. The problem really becomes noticeable at about 35 mph. Steering wheel wants to stick in place when making minor adjustments in steering.

As a longtime Honda owner, I've had 6 other Honda vehicles, I purchased this vehicle for my son when he turned 16. As a new driver, he did not recognize the steering problems that I DID the first time I drove the vehicle and this happened :( This is very scary for a parent but I recognize he may not have known different. Soon after I purchased my new vehicle, I noticed the steering seemed "stiff". I would be driving the vehicle and would feel like there was no power steering. I would be 'jerking the wheel' in order to try and correct the steering. I would constantly be gripping the wheel in order to steer the vehicle, even on straight, highway roads. I stopped allowing my son to drive the vehicle because of my safety concerns. I would attempt to set the cruise control so I wouldn't have to be 'fighting the wheel' and after a short amount of time with cruise control on, cruise control would automatically shut off for no apparent reason. This issues happened on multiple occasions. I took the vehicle to my dealer, over 80 miles one way, on multiple occasions. I showed them video of the steering issues that the passenger took when this would occur. They couldn't get the problem to duplicate. Finally after the third trip to the dealership, they submitted for warranty request to replace the steering column. On the fourth trip, the steering column was replaced. This is obviously a major safety concern!

Fuel injectors failed before 50k miles. Dealer states this is a common issue seen with these vehicles and is replaced often. Car has unsteady acceleration and jumps with acceleration. Vehicle has had stalling issues when accelerating forward as well. There are no warning messages that appeared on the dash and the car did not cue any codes. This is an extreme driving hazard as it is causing fuel injection issues and a fire hazard while operating the vehicle.

My 2016 Honda civic has been having air conditioning issues and this should be repaired by the manufacturer. The issue is with Evaporator Core and the condenser. The Honda dealership inspected the car and made the determination; however, he says that there have not been any recalls issued by Honda for the Evaporator Core. We live in Arizona and it is dangerous to drive a car without a working air conditioner. Please help fix this as I am sure there are a lot more other owners who are having similar A/C issues!

My "Check Air Bags" light came on last week. It now stays on. I am unsure as to why. I have never had my air bag deploy. Is this due to the mileage on my vehicle, which is at 81,300+ miles?

Steering wheel seems to “stick” in a certain direction at highway speeds. Additional force is needed to correct the steering.

UNKOWN - Power Steering is starting to go out. It gets stuck in certain positions and needs more force to make turns and to keep the car straight. It can cause overcorrection and can cause an accident. The manufacturer has not released a statement regarding the issue, but there is an ongoing lawsuit against the car brand. It has not. No warning lamps/messages have appeared on the dash.

Steering starts sticking every few seconds after about a 20 minute drive, and veering sideways. I lost a sideview mirror due to this and its very dangerous to drive. Probably has killed peapel already!! This happens every single time I drive this!

I started to wash my car and the paint on the roof between the windshield and sunroof started peel quite significantly. I showed my local Honda dealership and they told me to call American Honda Motor and they told me there is nothing they can do. I went to 5 different body shops in my area and they all have said that Honda should be covering the repair due to it being a manufacturing issue.

On August 30, while driving the power steering warning activated and the steering wheel become extremely hard to move. Stopped the car and followed the troubleshoot procedure; however, the failure persisted and had to request a tow truck. When the tow truck showed up several hours later, the steering operated normally and warning lights were gone. The car was towed to the Honda dealership Klein Honda 10611 Evergreen Way south, Everett, WA 98204. As the car was offloaded the tow truck, the steering operated normally and without any warnings. After few minutes at the dealership, I started the car and got the steering warning and the steering was extremely hard to move. The next day I got a call from the dealer and was told that the Electric Power Steering module was filled with water and was completely burned. The Service Manager provided the DTC fault codes 33-01 and 33-06. The dealership brought an expert to trace the water source on Friday Sept 8. The water expert investigated the water leak source. The water leak was caused by deteriorating insulation material on the right-hand side of the car and ended up in the Electric Power Steering module, causing the loss of steering. This raises significant concerns as a customer and as a person sharing the road with other Honda cars for the following facts: The car has low miles, less than 78000, The car is 9 years old, The car has been in mild climate/weather, Honda does not require inspection/removal and replacement of such components, There have been a significant number of events like this for this model. I'd like to request your department to open an investigation to this matter. This potentially impacts any vehicle sharing the road with Honda. In simple terms: Loss of steering = Loss of lives. Due to pure luck this did not ended in a fatal accident. 1/2 down the road it would have! Attached are pictures from the determination of the expert on how the water entered into the Electric Power Steering module.

Recently my steering wheel started feeling sticky. When going straight, the steering wheel sticks and I have to use more force to make the steering wheel turn. It does this turning the wheel left or right. This is especially noticeable at freeway speeds. It makes the car not comfortable to drive on the freeway. It makes the car feel less safe when on the freeway. This issue began about a month ago. I will take the car to a dealership and hope they can fix it. I hope Honda can come up with a fix for this issue. Thank you

When driving above 50 mph my car steering wheel almost feels sticky when trying to first turn it. On the highway, I have had it get to the point where it almost feels like it will be stuck when trying to turn it initially, it had a decent amount of restriction that almost lead to over correction. No warnings or errors were flashing on the dashboard and no noises were recognized when it occurred. This is a car with only 28,000 miles, something has to be wrong with either the chip system or something in the steering column/rack as I have done nothing wrong to the car itself. The car will be getting inspected this coming week at the Honda dealership as it is still under both warranties. The resistance is more than what it would be if you tried to cross lanes without a turn signal with lane assist on. The resistance in steering will make for very VERY dangerous conditions driving in the rain or snow… this should be recalled immediately!!

The steering wheel starts sticking when going highway speed around 60-70mph causing me to overcompensate to adjust it to keep following the road, when done so, the car jerks along with the overcompensation. This is causing alot of strain on my arms due to me having to constantly force the wheels to turn to follow the road, took it to the dealership, quoted $4000+ for a steering rack replacement. I hope something gets done about this issue as I’m seeing many similar cases here.

At 63k miles the Honda Civic steering wheel started sticking /jerking when changing lanes on the interstate. The steering rack EPS needs to be replaced. Only happens when you are driving for over an hour. This is not something you will notice commuting for 10-15 minutes to work. No warning on the dash. Warranty can't help us since we are second owners. We purchased it for our teenager 60 days ago and it's not safe for her to drive.

After the car has been drive for 20 minutes on the highway, I have a problem with my steering when keeping the car on center, the steering gets sticky and a jerking feeling when adjusting the steering that causes me to overreact in the opposite direction, this occurs with the slightest adjustment of the steering wheel, obvious only when driving on the highway.
