I have a 2007 GMC yukon denali xl that have the stabilitrac, check suspension, traction control lights and messages come on the car looses power and being in traffic I was almost t-boned this is a problem that has cost me alot of time and money please help please it is going to cause a wreck this is not a Isolated incident a recall needs to happen

The contact owns a 2019 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH, the sunroof inadvertently shattered. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but had not been diagnosed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was offered a payment but declined. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000. The VIN was unavailable.

ENGINE, POWER TRAIN
GM has consistently failed to deliver safe and reliable vehicles to the american public. I purchased a 2021 GMC Yukon Denali XL and the transmission needs to be replaced completely after the valve body was already replaced once. This issue proves to me that GM is not a reliable and trustworthy brand, with poor business ethics and a track record of having to be bailed out by our very own government for low quality vehicles. I am asking for the Federal department to investigate thoroughly and recall all transmissions that could negatively impact american families. These vehicles are not affordable for the average household and the quality of workmanship does not match the price point. Please find attached a document from GM directly that covers all recalls and previous repairs done to my vehicle. I am now fighting to get my down payment refunded as well as the payments that I have made on my vehicle.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
My GMC YukonXL Denali has faulty fuel gauges therefore there is no way I can determine if I'm are out of gas or not. Sometimes it displays that my tank is on empty and sometimes it display that I am full. I found online that over time, the contacts in the fuel-level sensor could wear and cause an incorrect reading on the gas gauge. In 2011 GM said that they would pay to repair.

The contact owns a 2021 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated while stopped in traffic, the contact felt the vehicle shaking. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled and lost motive power. After several attempts, the contact was able to restart the vehicle and shifted into neutral(N) to move the vehicle to the side of the roadway to safety. The contact stated that the vehicle was running rough before losing motive power and stalling. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and fuel pump was replaced. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 15,658.

The drivers seat broke and front airbags did not deploy. The seat broke during rear end collision which pushed the seat back so I was no longer able to reach steering wheel or brakes to stop. Went thru on coming traffic to end up on wrong side of road in ditch. Police inspection, insurance inspections, auto repair inspection No warnings.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The taillights, which included both the brake lights and running lights, quit working or only worked intermittently. Safety was put at risk because anytime we drove the vehicle in the dark (which is often!) the rear of the vehicle could not be seen, and the brake lights would not be activated when braking would occur, either day or night. This made us more likely to be in an accident, in my opinion, though thankfully we were not. Our regular mechanic did confirm that the lights were only working only intermittently, thought he did not have a solution but for replacing them, which would cost $800 a piece. There was no warning for this problem, the issue first appeared a year ago and we've been dealing with it since. I was finally able to purchase remanufactured taillights.

SEAT BELTS
When attempting to install car seats on the 3rd row, the seat belts do not remain locked after pulled all the way out. Pulling all the way out should activate the ALR, but it does not. I am unable to seat belt install on my 3rd row which is required when a child is over 40lbs.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
UNKNOWN 4 times in the past 6 months, while parking the vehicle (turning into a spot, left or right) or slowly turning to pull up to a security code box, the car completely begins to lose power in drive, and has lost power while in drive twice. The dash begins to flicker to the point that you can't decipher which error codes are showing up. Most recently, the Trailer Brake Service message was on before it died. We were not towing anything, did not have tow mode on, or anything like that. The parking sensors were on for all these instances...regardless if we were parking or not. I can't confirm if that is the issue or not. It was pretty dangerous when I was pulling into my parents driveway along a busy road when the car did this before I was completely off the road...with my 3 young children in the back 2 rows. I know the battery is new. I did have the dealer look at the brakes about a month ago, because I felt they were soft. They said they were fine. They and myself checked the reservoir for brake fluid low. Was in normal range. Starter was replaced in March time frame. I feel this is related to the factory trailering system wiring harness or something.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
I received a letter from GMC dated December 2019 warning of brake lights intermittenly not illuminating. I have periodically checked the lights for failure over the last 3 years. On September 8, 2022, a motorist pulled beside me and informed me that my brake lights were not working. I confirmed that the lights were not working and called GMC regarding the letter I had received in 2019 and was told that a recall had not been issued and that my vehicle was outside the 6 year eligibility period. This defect is Extremely Dangerous to myself and others due to the inherent unpredicability and unreliabilty of an important safety necessity, i.e., knowing that others will see that I am stopping/slowing down. I believe that due to the intermittent nature of the failure of a highly necessary safety feature, GMC should issue a recall to repair at no cost ALL vehicles.

STEERING
My Wife was driving at a low speed completing a right hand turn through an intersection and as she completed the turn the vehicle completely lost all steering. The vehicle ran up onto a curb but she was able to stop before she hit a poll. The vehicle was towed home and I found that there was no power to the steering wheel controls, the horn didn't work and there were Electronic Steering warnings. I also found that the steering wheel could spin freely like a top without any movement of the wheels. Upon examination in the engine compartment I found that the bottom of the steering shaft was completely disconnected and the single bolt that holds the 2 pieces together was missing. I took the vehicle to the local GMC dealership and they conformed that the bolt was missing and the shafts came apart which lead to the steering failure. The free movement of the steering wheel caused the internal malfunction of the steering wheel electronics. Prior to the steering failure there was no indications of any steering issues. The steering warning lights didn't come on until the steering failure. My Wife and children were about to get on the freeway when the failure occurred and could have led to a fatal accident if this failure occurred while she was driving on the freeway. I contacted GM and opened a case but was informed that they would not provide any assistance with the repair which is about $2900. I don't understand how GM would design a steering shaft that has a single point failure that could lead to a catastrophic failure. The vehicle has 120K miles and has never been in any accidents. I expect a basic safety feature such as the steering to never fail during operation. I will never purchase another GM vehicle and will tell as many people as I can about the potential failure. While driving down the freeway, I received a warning that the charging system was not working and had a red battery light come on on the dash. I exited the freeway trying to get to a safe place, the dash and infotainment system begun to flash on and off. We heard a loud pop, smelt something burning, saw smoke coming into the cabin and then flames from under the hood near where the battery is located.

The contact owns a 2017 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated that while reversing, the brake pedal became hard and unresponsive. As a result, the contact crashed into a guardrail. There were no reported injuries. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake assist pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and a ticket was submitted. The contact stated the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V645000 ( Service Brakes, Hydraulic). EXTERIOR LIGHTING
r rear taillight and brake light does not work and no indicator light to warn me. Do not know how long its been out. Afraid to drive. Had it checked and found special policy n182180270 . I contacted dealer and they said it would be $69.00 to just verify issue. contacted manufacture and was told it was out of coverage by less than 100 days. The vehicle has less than 40,000 miles and stays in garage. Case # 9-8269822 they said it had to be inspected by dealer that is a 40 mile round trip though traffic with no brake light , not safe especially when the instructions on the policy states just to turn light on and verify if it works ,if not replace unit.
