I purchased my 2025 RAM 1500 Rebel new on XXX. Since purchasing the vehicle, I have experienced repeated malfunctions of the digital instrument cluster (gauge cluster) located directly behind the steering wheel. The instrument cluster screen unexpectedly goes black, shuts off, restarts, and cycles power without warning, including while the vehicle is being driven. Additionally, when the instrument cluster malfunctions and cycles power, amber-colored warning lights located on both exterior mirrors, including the mirror surfaces and housings, flash simultaneously. I believe these are associated with the vehicle's blind-spot monitoring system. Both sides illuminate in conjunction with the instrument cluster malfunction, suggesting that the issue may involve more than the instrument cluster display alone. The vehicle has been taken to authorized RAM dealerships approximately six times in an effort to correct this recurring defect. Most repair attempts were performed at Midway Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in [XXX], with an additional visit to Anderson Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in [XXX]. Despite these repeated repair attempts, the defect remains unresolved. Most recently, on XXX at approximately 10:04 PM, the instrument cluster again went black and cycled power while I was driving. This malfunction presents a serious safety concern because the instrument cluster provides essential driving information, including vehicle speed, warning indicators, and other vehicle operating information. When the display goes black, this information may become temporarily unavailable. The simultaneous flashing of the exterior mirror warning lights also raises concerns about possible interference with the vehicle's driver-assistance systems. The manufacturer has been formally notified of this recurring defect. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate these repeated electrical malfunctions as a potential vehicle safety defect. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? PCM, Auto Start-Stop System (based on what I was told by the RAM dealership and paperwork) How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? When coming to a complete stop at an intersection, the vehicle stalled and shut down entirely, and the vehicle automatically shifted to park. Vehicle was able to be restarted only after pressing the brake, pressing the ignition button, and manually shifting into drive. This could have caused a collision if I was in stop-and-go traffic in a busier area, because I did not know how to respond to the vehicle randomly stalling to begin with. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. RAM dealership was able to replicate. Service advisor told me there was a Technical Service Bulletin released on 10/6/26 that addressed vehicle stalling due to the PCM and auto start-stop system. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No. This has only been inspected by Academy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Tipton, IN Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to failure. After the third time the vehicle stalled, the check engine light illuminated. This vehicle was then towed to the dealership for inspection.

The contact owns a 2020 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving on the freeway at approximately 65 MPH, the turn signals activated without driver input and would not turn off. Additionally, an unidentified audible alert sounded during the failure. The failure recurred multiple times. The contact researched the failure and identified similar complaints involving other 2020 Ram 1500 vehicles. A local dealer was contacted and informed the contact no recalls applied to the vehicle, while advising of diagnostic fees. The failure mileage was approximately 61,000.

- #11772120October 19, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, VISIBILITY:GLASS, SIDE/REAR
Original incident occurred in March 2026. While traveling at highway speeds my 2021 Ram 1500 lost all power and engine shutoff. I was able to get the truck to the side of the interstate due to it's momentum. Once I come to a stop, the e-brake is automatically applied and the vehicle will not restart or respond to any inputs from the keyfob. Vehicle is towed to nearest dealer, am told that the issue is related to an open recall that they have fixed and is now operating as normal. Less than one week later, the exact same thing occurs again, once again while traveling at highway speeds. Is towed into another dealer for service, and it is identified that the RF Module/Hub will need replaced due to a water leak. Repair is completed and vehicle returns to normal operation. 10/16/26 I attempt to start the vehicle with no success. After evaluating for a dead battery the vehicle is once again towed to a dealer (the same one that serviced it the first time). It is again identified that the RF Module/Hub will need replaced again due to a water leak around the back glass. I point out the Warranty Bulletin D-23-17 that would cover my vehicle and pertains to back glass water leaks. Am told by the dealer and Ram customer care that it does not in fact apply to my vehicle based on manufacturing date, despite it directly conflicting with the dates reflected on the notice. The TSB and the Warranty Bulletin appear to have conflicting dates for manufacture on them. This is incredibly deceptive behavior by Ram and should be looked into further. I have identified at least 8 previous complaints submitted to the NHTSA pertaining to the water leak/RF Module issue within the last 18 months along with acknowledgement from multiple service advisors at the dealerships that it is a known issue, yet no recall has been issued for it. Due to the potential and documented history of this leading to sudden power loss, it is merely a matter of time before this results in severe injury or loss of life.

Three times in the past month, I have been turning left and had the vehicle turn off. Twice the emergency brake automatically applied and the truck auto-shifted to park, the 3rd time my steering and engine turned off. The 1st time I thought perhaps I had accidentally hit the start button, the 2nd time I was fairly sure I hadn't, and the 3rd time both hands were on the wheel so I could not have. This 3rd time, I continued to roll thru the intersection until I rolled to a stop and the gear selector remained in drive. I am taking the truck to the dealership today. Luckily, there was no other vehicle near me when any of these instances happened but im worried that will not be the case in the future.

I have a 2018 ram 1500 express my electricinic power steering is binding and causing my truck to jerk when I correct it while driving. I have noticed that there are recalls for the same issue on previous years(2015-2017) and on years after (2019-2021) models. Please investigate why 2018 isnt showing an open or active recall.

Ram has a recall for this vehicle for the fuel tank strap attachment point on the frame. It is their x75 recall. The part on my truck is completely rotted out exactly why the recall was made. My truck is 8 months outside of the recall period so Ram will not replace the part. The frame has obviously been rotting for a long time and who knows how long the fuel tank has only been supported with one strap. This is a huge safety concern and one that Ram is refusing to repair because it is outside of the time line. I can provide photos of the rotted out area as well as strap that is rotting as well. A known issue like this should not have a time line and should be replaced at no cost. Original in service date for the vehicle was February 18, 2014

VEHICLE SAFETY COMPLAINT AND REPAIR CHRONOLOGY Vehicle: 2025 Ram 1500 eTorque Repair Facility: Champion Dealership Manufacturer: Ram / Stellantis 1. Initial Vehicle Failures — July 12 and August 25–26, 2026 The vehicle experienced repeated failures on July 12 and again on the morning and evening of August 25 and the morning of August 26 towed to Champion. I provided photographs documenting the vehicle’s warning messages and descriptions of the problems that occurred. 2. September 4, 2026 — Problem Identified and Rental Approved On September 4, the dealership informed me that a specialist was coming to inspect the vehicle. Following this evaluation, I was told they had finally identified the problem and would proceed with the repair after the holiday. 3. September 23, 2026 — Additional Testing Requested On September 23, I contacted the dealership to determine whether the vehicle had been repaired. Allowed to pick up September 26th after additional testing completed. October 13, 2026 — Dangerous Failure While Driving On October 13, the truck experienced another serious failure while traveling approximately 75 mph on the highway. The engine shut down while the vehicle was in motion. Once it came back on, warning lights illuminated across the dashboard, and the vehicle entered limp mode. We managed to get the truck home, where it had to be towed. After arriving home, the truck would not shut off normally. It eventually shut down on its own. When we attempted to restart it, the previous warning messages and electronic faults returned, including messages indicating that the vehicle was already in Drive when it was not on at all. This is the initial issues that had occurred. This incident created a serious safety concern because the engine shut down while the vehicle was traveling at highway speed. The truck had been returned to us as repaired approximately 17 days earlier.
