FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
The front fuel tank strap fell off and tank is now hanging. When looking at strap, I noticed the frame mount that holds strap was corroded/rusted and had snapped, causing strap to let go. This was a recall back in 2009-2012 on this same vehicle. This should be looked at ASAP and recalled. This is a safety issue. Thankfully I found this before tank dropped out while driving.

SERVICE BRAKES
The ABS warning light has appeared and the dealership inspected the vehicle and stated the ABS needs to be replaced. Research shows multiple RAM 1500 trucks from 2016-2019 have had a recall on this system, but as far as I know, no recall was issued on mine. I do not know where to look to view all recalls that were issued on a particular vehicle.

As we were driving and pulling a 32 foot trailer battery died, luckily we were able to stop safety and charge battery and bought a new battery to get us home. The Mopar 48‑volt motor‑generator unit (MGU)—often referred to as the “eTorque alternator died. There is a back order of currently 4800+ and months to get this part in order to fix a truck that doesn’t start without it. How is this not a recall? This is highly unsafe if we hadn’t been watching the battery voltage as we were driving and noticed it was getting dangerously low potentially causing a huge pile up accident on the freeway with our trailer.

The contact owns a 2014 Ram 1500. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the message "Service Power Steering" was displayed, and the contact disconnected and reconnected the battery and restart the vehicle; however, upon restarting the vehicle the power steering feature was inoperable. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 146,000.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS, BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING
The uconnect 8.4 radio screen started delaminating. The delamination caused the screen to randomly turn things on/off, call random people including the emergency number, radio switching channels and changing volume, park assist warning buzzer to stop working, back-up camera ceased working and numerous other symptoms. Any, or all of these symptoms, will distract a driver to the point where an accident could occur. This has not only happened to me but thousands of other owners who own uconnect radios in their vehicles. The company, in my case FCA, has ignored this problem and has refused to repair or replace the radio. Clearly this is a faulty part that needs to be replaced before someone gets seriously injured or killed.

I was driving on the highway when my power steering assist stopped functioning and almost caused a major traffic collision. I was able to limp the vehicle to a dodge dealership who informed me that the problem was in fact the EPS module that controls the power steering. Dealership nor Dodge will pay for the issue knowing it is an issue that almost caused a major accident. Made complaint with Mopar and customer service and they said nothing they will do. I find this disheartening that they know this major problem exists and offer no solution or assistance. I see your office still has an open investigation into this issue. Please help me get this fixed as I shouldn't have to put out over 4k to fix a known faulty part. Thank you.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
On July 2, 2021 my 2015 ecodiesel was given a software flash due to recall W58. This recall deals with the delamination of the tone wheel/CSPS and makes the vehicle rapidly lose acceleration. Instead of being an actual fix, the software simply put a band aid on the issue, by rerouting the tone wheel and sending to a different sensor. On [XXX] it was raining and when I tried to accelerate while in heavy city traffic, the truck lost acceleration rapidly and flashed service electronic throttle control and went into limp mode. I narrowly avoided being in a collision and limped the truck to a medical center parking lot (Koke Mill Medical in Springfield, IL). The truck wouldn't stay running and it wouldn't restart without great difficulty. I was able to limp it to a repair shop (Ruggless Automotive 3417 Constitution Dr, Springfield IL 62711 (217) 787-5484) I have a scanner and I scanned the truck and got code P0336 crankshaft position sensor. Ruggless Automotive ALSO got that code and got code P26AB (yet another recall issue with the EGR cooler recall VB1) Ruggless advised waiting for parts. Talked to Green Dodge about the issues, they didn't want to fix because out of warranty. I contacted FCA/Stellantis. I was given a case [XXX] and told to take to dealership for diagnostics and if diagnostics showed it was to do with the recall issues, that FCA would pay for repairs. Truck was towed BY ME to dealership July 3rd. Green Dodge called me and said they couldn't do any diagnostics because supposedly the battery was dead/bad/unable to be jump started. They tried to make me purchase a new battery from them or else they wouldn't do the diagnostics I need for FCA. Anti-Lock Brake Module Internal Failure, error code C2200--49. This ABS failure also takes out the following safety features, anti-lock braking, traction control, trailer towing brake controller, and cruise control. As a result I do not have these safety features, and I tow a 10,000 lb rated trailer that required that the OEM factory brake controller works. A new module is $1200 plus, however there are NONE to be found. It has been on National Back Order for several years, and affects many year models. Failure at first was intermittent and worked during cold weather, but once up to 70 degrees or above it failed consistently, then finally failed permanently. l Intermittent Failure was real risk when towing, as you could not depend on system working in case of emergency.

Hi guys, I live in Central America, bought my truck new at the dealer in Guatemala that is Grupo Q, the dealer does not service recalls, nor does any warranty work. AS you can see with my vin recalls are still not done. I have gotten in touch with ram recently to check on this, also because the local dealer will not do any warranty work on my seat bottoms that have started to rip at 44,000km they started to rip at 5,000km. three months ago my ac compressor dyed. again no warranty, I got in touch with ram because my truck states 5 year 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. Ram US told me to get in touch with RAM Mexico and they dont even pick the phone and when a miracle happens they pick up the phone just to hung it up. I got in touch again with RAM us they escalated my case to a senior tech two months ago and no one has gotten in touch with me. Its obvius RAM sells outside US and does nothing for their clients.

We were driving down the interstate and my truck went into limp mode. This almost caused an accident. We were able to get off the road and into a parking lot but the whole truck locked up. The dash started saying "Service Throttle Positioning System" and the gear shift locked into park. The truck got stuck in first gear and I was able to get out of the way before we were rear ended. We had the truck towed to a truck shop and the codes had gone away. They drove it and while they were testing it it did the same thing to them. Based on research this part was on recall on the Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0L Eco Diesel for causing this same issue with the crank shaft tone wheel (reluctor wheel) but to this date there has been none on my truck. We are now out $3400 for the repair with Stellantis knowing they have had issues with this part on the other models with the same engine.

Digital cluster freezes, beeps, goes blank except for check engine lights, and then resets. Turns back on for a few seconds and then repeats the process. Digital cluster will do this non stop. I only have a few brief seconds to see my speed and fuel level before it freezes and goes blank. This is extremely dangerous.

My truck's electric power steering is failing and should be added to the current investigation RQ 23-003. I am hopeful that you will make a decision to order FCA to replace, at no charge, all of the affected electric power steering units on Ram 1500 trucks, including mine.
