Flash: Electronic Shift Module (ESM) System Improvements This bulletin involves updating the ESM software and if necessary replacing the lower shifter or ?PRNDM?. The customer may experience the following:Shifter lever is locked in park (occurs intermittently upon start up). After 2.5 minutes shifter becomes responsive and functions as designed. Service shifter warning indicator in cluster is illuminated. ?PRNDM? display on the shifter does not illuminate. If PRNDM is not illuminated, the memory has been corrupted to the point that this flash will NOT repair the PRNDM and it would need replacement. Replace the PRNDM in the shifter bezel. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT>TechCONNECT under: Service Info>21 - Transmission and Transfer Case/Automatic - 8HP70/Shifter, Transmission/Removal/Installation.Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find one or more of the following stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) set:U1465-00 - Implausible Driver Shift Request Signal Received. U1466-00 - Implausible Driver Shift Request Signal Received On DPT CAN. U1267-00 - No Valid Data From Esm On CAN-C or CAN-DPT.

Pentastar Oil Filter Adapter All vehicles equipped with a 3.2L or 3.6L engine; If replacing the Oil Filter Adapter (OFA) due to a leak detected between OFA and block, an O-ring kit (68191356AA) is now available to repair OFA/Block Interface leaks. Using dye will assist in determining source of leak. Ensure OFA Cap Oring is seated in the proper groove in the cap and not damaged or cut. Engineering is seeking information regarding OFA leaks. RG3 RG4 RJ3 RJ4 Radio Enhancements This bulletin involves inspecting and if required, updating the radio software. A small number of customers may experience one or more of the following:Navigation failed message is displayed (WK and KL with RG3 and RG4). The clock not automatically updating to local time (WK and KL with RG3 and RG4). Poor or no connection to cellular network (WK and KL with RG3 and RG4). HVAC temperature out of sync with radio display (KL with RG3 and RG4). Some Uconnect App remote commands do not execute with the vehicle. Display goes blank/black (WK and KL with RG3 and RG4). Cyrillic keyboard is missing in phone book (WK and KL with RG3 or RG4). Wrong speed limit on NAV speed camera indication (WK and KL with RG3 or RG4). Blind Spot module beep or chime sound may be heard continuously (KL Only). Radio may keep the CAN bus network awake, causing a battery drain. Voice Recognition (VR) to set temperature, will indicate wrong setting to rear seat temperature. Not possible to set temperature in degrees Celsius using the VR (UK vehicles only). Teleprompter does not appear when pressing the VR button. VR operation cancels while in media mode. Radio may display camera?s previous image before displaying the current image. Navigation lost vehicle position during route calculation. Navigation displays are missing after vehicle heading changes. Navigation giving incorrect guidance to exit the highway. FM audio may switch to AM after ignition cycle. Text messages appear as sender?s phone number, not their name. VR phone button may not work at times. Audio muted after AUX device is disconnected. VR ?Listen? to text will only play 1st message. Drive Mode: Eco, Sport or Normal setting may not be saved after key cycle (LA, LD, LX and ZD Only). Drive Mode: Shift light On/Off, out of sync (LA, LD, LX and ZD Only). Speed adjusted volume may not work. AM/FM seek or tuner soft keys may be missing.

Radio display screen is black or blank. Battery drain due to radio staying on.** Rearview Camera image appears jittery (UF vehicles only). Inability to establish a WiFi connection when security feature is enabled (UF vehicles only). Audio distortion/popping heard while playing Apple devices through the USB port (UF vehicles only). Remote Uconnect Apps functions (i.e. door locks, remote start) inoperative while the engine is running (UF vehicles only). HVAC temperature out of sync with radio display (KL vehicles). Flash: Transmission Diagnostic and Shift Enhancements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Transmission Control Module (TCM) with the latest available software. Some customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation, a technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) stored in the TCM memory:P1DCD-00 - TCM Monitoring Processor Performance Multiple Clutches Locked Up. In addition, customers may also experience the following condition:During an engine limp mode condition, the transmission remains in a fixed gear. This update allows transmission gear shifting while in limp-in mode, rather than a fixed gear. Bumps on 2-1 and 6-5 down-shift while braking. This software update also includes an enhancement:Improved 5-4 down-shift.

Upon further investigation, a technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) stored in the TCM memory:P1DCD-00 - TCM Monitoring Processor Performance Multiple Clutches Locked Up. In addition, customers may also experience the following condition:During an engine limp mode condition, the transmission remains in a fixed gear. This update allows transmission gear shifting while in limp-in mode, rather than a fixed gear. Bumps on 2-1 and 6-5 down-shift while braking. This software update also includes an enhancement:Improved 5-4 down-shift.
