Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2019 Ram 1500 and 2014-2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles equipped with 3.0L Diesel engines. The crankshaft position sensor tone wheel may delaminate, causing the engine to lose its ability to synchronize the fuel injector pulses and cam shaft timing, possibly resulting in an engine stall.
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and 2014-2019 Ram 1500 vehicles equipped with 3.0L diesel engines. A high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failure may introduce internal debris into the fuel system, potentially resulting in fuel starvation.
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles equipped with the 3.0L EcoDiesel engines. The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler may crack and allow pre-heated vaporized coolant to enter the EGR system. This mixture may combust inside the intake manifold.
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Ram 1500 and 2014-2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles equipped with 3.0L diesel engines. The crankshaft position sensor tone wheel may delaminate causing the engine to lose its ability to synchronize the fuel injector pulses and cam shaft timing, possibly resulting in an engine stall.
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Dodge Journey, Charger and Durango, RAM 2500, 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis (more than 10,000lb), 4500 Cab Chassis and 5500 Cab Chassis, Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300, 2014-2019 RAM 1500, 2015-2018 Dodge Challenger, 2015-2017 Chrysler 200, 2016-2018 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis (less than 10,000 lb), 2017-2018 Chrysler Pacifica and 2018 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. These vehicles are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.
Saturday night, [XXX], my family went out to dinner and took my elderly father ([XXX]), who sits in the front seat when we go out together. Upon returning to his home, he got out, and we drove back to our home, approximately 2 minutes away. My husband parked the car, turned off the engine and while we were exiting the vehicle, the now empty passenger seat headrest popped open with a loud bang. Had my father still been sitting there, he would have been injured. I contacted customer care this morning with my concerns and was told that although they are aware of the problem, there was nothing they could do about the repair as the extended warranty period had ended. I had no notification of such an issue or related warranty as I purchased the vehicle in July of 2022. The warranty period was still active at the time of purchase. The airbag warning lamp is illuminated on the dashboard of my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Limited 4WD, 3.6L V6). A Jeep dealer (Lee Dodge, Westbrook, Maine) diagnosed the problem as fault code B0020-13, a driver-side frontal airbag squib circuit fault, and stated that the airbags and seatbelt pretensioners may not deploy in a crash. The dealer quoted $3,442.35 for the repair and denied goodwill coverage. I opened a case with Jeep corporate on October 8, 2026 (case number [XXX], case manager Kenneth) and sent follow-up emails on October 10, 12, and 14, and left multiple voicemails; Jeep corporate has not responded. No crash, fire, injury, or fatality has occurred. This is a report of a safety defect, and the manufacturer has been unresponsive. Approximate vehicle mileage: 42,000. The dealer and Corporate Partner are refusing to perform the federally mandated Z46 safety recall (NHTSA 22V406) on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee until they replace the supply line for a $1000, because they said it rotted/rusted. This factory supply line is made of nylon plastic and cannot rust. I suggest it blew out as part of a failing HPFP covered under the recall, and they misdiagnosed it. Furthermore, the technician and service advisor stated that they had not checked for any metal as part of the recall. I have asked for legal documentation for the estimate of parts and labor for the replacement of said supply line and have not received it.
