The transmission slipped out of gear while entering an intersection. Several slipping issues with transmission and Ford dealers refused to look into issue. They have recalled the 10 speed automatic transmissions for several years but not the mine?

The faulty panoramic sunroof is a known issue by Ford Motor Company. Yet they have done nothing to resolve it. The panoramic sunroof on the 2016 Ford F-150 is known to develop operational and structural problems, including sticking, binding, excessive wind noise, water leaks, and failure of the glass panels or sunroof mechanism to open and close properly. In some cases, the sunroof can become misaligned or the tracks and components can fail, resulting in expensive repairs and potential water intrusion into the vehicle. This recurring issue has been reported by numerous F-150 owners and can significantly affect the vehicle’s reliability, usability, and resale value.

- #11757079August 14, 2026FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
On June 20, 2026, my 2021 Ford F-150 5.0L V8 suddenly lost engine power while I was driving on the freeway. The vehicle became disabled and had to be towed. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Ford dealership on June 23, 2026, where it remains. The dealership inspected the vehicle and confirmed that it is affected by Ford Recall 25S75 / NHTSA Recall 25V455 and advised that there is currently no available repair or remedy for the fuel pump issue. Ford Customer Service has also opened a case regarding the vehicle and provided a loaner vehicle, but no repair or estimated date for a remedy has been provided. The sudden loss of engine power while traveling on the freeway created a significant safety hazard. The vehicle could no longer maintain normal speed or acceleration, creating a risk of being struck by other vehicles traveling at highway speeds and a risk to surrounding motorists. Ford's recall identifies this fuel pump issue as capable of causing an engine stall while driving. The vehicle remains at the Ford dealership and is available for inspection upon request. To my knowledge, it has not been inspected by police or an insurance representative. There were no known warning symptoms prior to the failure; the vehicle was operating normally until it suddenly lost engine power on June 20, 2026. The failure is particularly concerning because the recalled component appears to have failed in the exact manner described in the recall, leaving the vehicle disabled while driving. Ford currently has no available remedy, and the vehicle remains unrepaired at the dealership.

- #11757075August 14, 2026ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, POWER TRAIN
My 2022 Ford F-150 has experienced intermittent delayed starting, uneven idle, and hesitation during acceleration. At times, the engine sounds and feels as though it may shut off. I began noticing these symptoms several months ago, and the most recent occurrence was approximately August 2026. I do not recall seeing any warning lamps or warning messages when these symptoms occurred. The vehicle has not yet been inspected or diagnosed by a Ford dealer or independent repair facility for these specific symptoms, and the cause has not been confirmed. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. I am concerned because my vehicle is affected by Ford Recall 25S75 / NHTSA Recall 25V455 involving potential fuel pump failure and loss of fuel pressure, which may result in poor engine performance and engine stalling. I am concerned that the symptoms I am experiencing could create a safety risk if the engine loses power or shuts off while driving.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the transmission downshifted and upshifted erratically. The power train and check engine warning lights were illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V237000 (Power Train), and the vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the PCM software update was performed; however, the failure persisted. The contact later received a notification that the molded leadframe would be replaced as necessary under an extended coverage program. The vehicle was returned to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the leadframe had failed and needed to be replaced; however, the contact was informed that the repair was not covered under the program because the diagnostic trouble codes did not meet the required specifications. The contact stated that the manufacturer failed to honor the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the repair would be at the owner's expense, and the contact was advised to retain the receipts. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 168,000.

Transmission shudders until it gets warm, then it slips when accelerating after it's warmed up. Sometimes it goes completely out of gear. I've had the recall update done on the TCM and it made it worse. It has been confirmed by a service center. There are no messages or warning lights and it started slipping 6-8 months ago and has gotten worse. I cannot drive it currently.

The contact's parents own a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving 40 MPH, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted from sixth gear to second gear, causing the vehicle to jolt and the wheels to lock up. The brake pedal was depressed, but the wheels remained locked, causing the vehicle to crash into the rear of another vehicle, which then struck a second vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. The air bags failed to deploy, and no injuries were reported; however, emergency personnel responded to the scene and evaluated an infant occupant of the second vehicle. A Police report was filed. All three vehicles were driven away from the scene. The contact received notification for NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V237000 (Power Train); and contacted the dealer. The contact was referred to the manufacturer to determine whether the crash was caused by the recall. The manufacturer was unreachable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 71,700.

While driving, the automatic transmission started to act up. The truck would attempt to go into 3rd gear but would bypass it to 4th, similar action around 7/8th gear. When pressing the accelerator at times, the truck would not switch gears or increase speed. A warning light did appear on the dashboard, indicating a problem. A code reader indicated two possible issues related to the transmission. These issues made the truck unsafe to drive in any traffic since I wasn't sure the truck was going to continue moving and was concerned about being either being stranded or being rear-ended. The truck was taken to a repair shop that my extended warranty works with. The shop was able to reproduce the issue. The shop indicated that there was an issue with the transmission. A warranty company technician came to the shop to run a diagnostic on the truck. After review of the technicians analysis, the warranty company approved the transmission repair and shop is waiting on parts.

My 2021 Ford F-150 PowerBoost, VIN [XXX], is included in Ford recall 25S75 / NHTSA recall 25V455. The vehicle has stalled more than five times and is experiencing the same dangerous condition described in the recall. The Ford dealer told me I can bring the truck in, and they will diagnose the problem and repair it if they can. However, I must pay all costs upfront and then request reimbursement after Ford releases the official recall remedy. I should not be required to pay out of pocket for the diagnosis and repair of a known safety defect covered by an active recall. There is also no clear timeline for when a remedy will become available or when I would be reimbursed. I cannot reasonably be expected to pay now and potentially wait years to recover my money. This vehicle repeatedly stalls and creates a serious crash risk. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate Ford’s delay and require Ford to provide an immediate, no-cost diagnosis and repair or provide safe alternative transportation until the recall remedy is available.
