Headlights are too high, too bright, and 5000K+ color, which has been documented to upset circadian rhythms in most, and causes agitation, or even seizures, in a small percentage of the population

DanvilleVA24543-0062United States1/1/2026"These lights are extremely blinding and have been the specific cause of several near accidents by a friend when I was a passenger. They should be outlawed outright. Period. Jerk drivers nowadays don't bother to dim them either. They should also force manufacturers to put all of them at the same height from the road, most especially those huge pickups that jerks drive to make themselves proud and better than everyone else, that have billion candlepower headlights blasting in your rear view mirrors that blinds everything, the road, your dashboard, your windshield, the interior of your car, as well as in the front of your face. Respectfully submitted, except for the jerk idiots who don't dim their lights even when the low lights are too bright to start with. - #11707954December 31, 2025FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Crank but no start. Found fuse 27 melted. This fuse supplies power to the fuel pump relay which gives the fuel pump power to run. The melted fuse had lost its connectivity. The fuse is a 20 amp. The fuse was not blown. Unable to determine the cause of the heat to melt the fuse. I searched YouTube and found that this is a common problem with the f150 with the range of 2010 to 2014. Also found that several parts dealers offer a F27 fuse relocation kit as a work around for the problem. The incident happened at home where I was able to research the problem. What if I got stranded in the middle of nowhere, no cell service, and 25 below zero? Worse yet, could this hot spot start a fire under the hood? Why there has not been a recall on this fuse is beyond reasoning tthat the repair is more costly than a life!

The feul pump fuse holder melts and the car dies instantly. This is very dangerous if you where merging into traffic or on a major interstate traveling at speed. Also leaving you stranded in the middle of nowhere at freezing temps or scorching temps and you have no cell service. This should be a immediate recall before people are injured or killed.

when i go to accelerate (not every time) (random times) from a near stop during a yielding situation, engine power hesitates to come back on. I've been nearly rear ended twice entering onto highways because of it. i have an appointment Friday with a dealership but they said that they may not be able to do anything for it...im reporting this because that is not acceptable behavior from a dealership. its a safety issue and its under warranty....FIX IT!! when this issue happens i can have the pedal full pressed and it takes several second for the engine to wake up from switching from electric to gas..(im only able to move 1 to 3 MPH)..or if i want it to snap out of it sooner i rapidly press the accelerator in and out multiple times....both ways eventually kicks the engine power back on lunging the truck forward.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal ticking sound coming from the engine. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the intake valve covers and the cylinder #5 intake camshaft lobe were damaged. Additionally, the front camshaft and cylinder head had pitted into each other, showing signs of oil starvation. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that while his wife was driving 45-50 MPH on a separate occasion, the vehicle was stopped at a red traffic light. The vehicle failed to accelerate as intended upon depressing the accelerator pedal and stalled. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was pushed to the side of the road. The vehicle failed to restart and was towed to the residence. The vehicle remained at the residence unrepaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 126,273.

12/31/2025 NHTSA, I am writing to formally report a serious safety issue involving my Ford F-150. On [XXX] in rural Alaska, my Ford F-150 experienced a flat tire in extreme winter conditions (approximately –15°F). I was traveling with my [XXX] child. When we attempted to change the tire, the lug nuts could not be removed using the factory tools provided with the vehicle. A tow truck was dispatched from the only available service on a holiday evening, which was 45 minutes away. The tow operator was then unable to remove the lug nuts with any of his professional equipment. We were subsequently informed that this is a known issue with Ford’s chrome-capped, two-piece lug nuts swelling or deforming, making them incompatible with standard sockets. As a result, what should have been a routine roadside tire change became a prolonged and dangerous situation for my child and me in life-threatening cold. We were stranded for 3 hours and nearly ran out of gas keeping the vehicle warm. It took a blowtorch provided by a passing Good Samaritan to complete the tire changeover. This failure created a significant safety hazard. A vehicle that cannot have a flat tire serviced during an emergency—especially in extreme weather—poses an unacceptable risk to occupants. This was not due to misuse, improper maintenance, or lack of tools, but rather an apparent design or materials defect that rendered the lug nuts unusable. Vehicle details: - Year/Model: 2017 Ford F-150 - VIN: [XXX] - Location of incident: Miles outside of Willow, Alaska This situation placed a minor child at risk in extreme winter conditions and should not occur in any Ford vehicle. The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 50 MPH, the vehicle unexpectedly downshifted from 6th gear into a lower gear, and the check engine and transmission warning lights illuminated. As a result of the failure, the vehicle crashed into bushes. The contact also stated that the air bags did not deploy during the incident. The contact sustained a left foot injury; however, no medical attention was sought. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not towed, and the contact was able to restart the vehicle. The contact further stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed on another occasion, the vehicle unexpectedly entered limp mode and remained in 3rd gear. The contact also reported that the vehicle felt sluggish when attempting to accelerate from a stop, with the check engine and transmission warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transmission lead frame had failed and required replacement. The vehicle was not repaired, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not eligible for warranty coverage due to exceeding the warranty limits of 10 years or 150,000 miles. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 152,000.

Loss of engine power when transmission shifts from 3rd gear to 2nd gear. Truck will unexpectedly loose ability to accelerate, typically until shift to 1st or 3rd gear occurs. Return of power can cause vehicle to accelerate rapidly and unexpectedly. Malfunctions typically happens in parking lots and while yielding to make a turn, but also happens in stop and go traffic. Concerned of loss of acceleration while pulling out in traffic. No warning lamps or error codes when failure occurs. I've been working with the dealer to resolve for 1 year with nothing done. After 11 months the dealer acknowledged there is an issue, but is unsure of cause or how to repair. Now recommending an entire transmission replacement and not sure if that will resolve.

Taillight leaks water causing the blindspot sensor to burn up. Once the sensor is burned up the airbags, power door locks, power windows, heat/defrost, and the radio don't work. This is a known problem and Ford has no fix for it. It is several weeks wait to get it into Ford and costs several thousand dollars for a known problem that they are not addressing. Having no heat or defrosters in the winter make this a safety issue for everyone on the road not just the operator. Door locks and windows not working is a safety issue for the vehicle passengers.

Driving along on freeway and vehicle immediately shut down in the middle lane. From my investigation I found out Ford issued a TSB (15-0137) indicating crank no start, loss of RPM. This vehicle shut down and failure had put me at risk on a freeway where everyone is doing 65 miles an hour at night. My findings after pulling the melted fuse out and putting it back in the vehicle started up. My concern is that Fort has a TSB on this however vehicle shutting down on the freeway is a definite safety concern. Dealer wants $300 For this repair because it is not a recall. It is just a TSB. However, the other sad factor is the TSB kit to do the repair is $45 plus $280 for the repair.
