On 19 November 2024, immediately after dealer performed an oil change and accomplished recall 24V-653 and 24V729, on drive home vehicle engine shut off at a red light as normal (auto start/stop), but did not auto re-start. Had to power cycle in order to move truck. On 20 November 2024, vehicle engine shut off at a red light as normal (auto start/stop), but this time the SafeHold system engaged the parking brake and shifted the truck into park. The parking brake warning lamp illuminated. Truck would not move until the SafeHold system was manually bypassed. Surrounding traffic became impatient and took unnecessary risks to go around my truck that would not move. Immediately took truck to dealer for diagnosis and repair. On 22 November 2024, picked up truck from dealer with problem not repeatable, no repair performed. On 24 November 2024, exact same problem happened (vehicle engine shut off at a red light as normal (auto start/stop), SafeHold system engaged the parking brake and shifted the truck into park. The parking brake warning lamp illuminated. Truck would not move until the SafeHold system was manually bypassed). Surrounding traffic became impatient and took unnecessary risks to go around my truck that would not move

Gas filler line (exterior of car to gas tank) exhibits blowback when filling gas tank resulting in backup of gasoline /fuel often spilling on to pavement and clothing/shoes. This is a personal safety and environmental impact item. Multiple instances reported in on line forums and verbally acknowledged as a frequent problem in RAM 1500 vehicles. No lights/warnings were noted. Problem started at greater than 65000 miles. Problem is not intermittent.

I am writing to formally express my concern and dissatisfaction regarding the safety recall repair on the tailgate latch of my 2022 Ram 1500, which was completed on January 8, 2023. Despite the repair being marked as “completed,” I have continued to experience issues with the tailgate latch, indicating that the recall was not fully effective. Given that this recall was issued for a critical safety issue, I am concerned about the ongoing risk it poses and the failure of the repair to resolve the problem. I would like to request that the issue be addressed as soon as possible, and that the vehicle be inspected to ensure that the recall repair is truly complete and functional. Please provide me with guidance on the next steps to ensure that this safety concern is fully resolved. I look forward to your prompt response and a satisfactory resolution to this matter. Thank you for your attention to this urgent issue.

I keep getting a check engine light because of voltage issues related to the etorque system. Also receive a battery icon and volt gauge shows 11v. The code says everything from overcharge to under charge and all kinds of electrical codes. I have been to dealer multiple times. At first they did nothing but last visit they did a control module software update. Code did not appear for a few weeks and last weekend it came back.

- #11626878November 22, 2024STRUCTURE:INTERIOR PANELS:SUN VISOR
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the driver’s side sun visor was lowered; however, the sun visor lowered more than normal, blocking the view of the highway. The contact used force to place the sun visor back into the up position. The contact stated that the force needed to put the sun visor in place caused concern that the sun visor attachment point to the roof might become fractured. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

My check engine light came on after 200 miles of owning my vehicle, this started in July of 2024. Code scanner revealed it is several misfire codes. This issue seems to be very common for the 2025 ram with the new twin turbo V6 engine where many people in vehicle groups for this truck all know about it. Ram has acknowledged the issue but doesn’t have a fix almost 6 months later. I call the dealer monthly and they always say there is no fix. There is nothing they can do. Due to the misfire code and the check engine light is on I cannot use things like my remote vehicle starter or utilize my app that I paid for. Misfire codes also present a problem with the engine, they can cause engine damage along with a reduction in power. Since the issue started so early in owning the vehicle it is hard to tell if any power reduction issues are present. I am obviously worried about my state inspection that is due in another 6 months and if this a potential fail I am also worried about potential long term issues with no fix from Ram. This problem has been happening since the release of this resigned model which now around 7-8 months with no fix.

2023 RAM 1500 v8 with e-torque system stalls while driving. The vehicle will not start after stalling. The emergency brake is engaged and other lights are on the dash. I have had this problem happen three times and each time I had the vehicle brought to the local Dodge dealer service center. The problem was reported to the dealer service center and they have been unable to reproduce the problem. They also say the computer has no codes indicating a problem. The problem was also reported to Sellantis North America and their reply has been that, since the dealer cannot reproduce the problem, there is no case they can keep open. There were no warning lights prior to the vehicle stalling. After the stall, several warning lights were showing, including emergency brake, anti-traction off.

On November 19, 2024 I was driving my kids to school this morning. It was a clear morning and the roads were dry and clear as well. I was still in our subdivision. I put my blinker on to make a right hand turn and slowed down to a stop. After confirming there were no cars coming, I intended to make my right turn and my engine stalled. I pressed the gas pedal to confirm and the vehicle engine did not respond at all, it just coasted. The message on the dash instructed me to put the truck in "park." As there was another vehicle behind me wanting to turn as well and to avoid any accidents, I put on my hazards to allow the car behind me know I was not moving so they could go around. I then pressed the brake, put the truck back in park. And then I had to restart it again. This is a very scary issue and the dealership's advice was that since there was no actual recall "yet" they would charge us about $200 to do a diagnostic first and then see what the issue was. Our vehicle is a 2022 Ram. I only drive this vehicle to do school drops off/pick ups and I work from home. We've already had to replace the starter assembly at 39.093 miles. And now the engine is stalling while the vehicle is in motion at only 43,000 miles right now.

On [XXX] I turned on a [XXX] in Amelia Co Va when I pressed the gas to get up to speed, all of the sudden the headlights, dashboard lights, interior lights go dark. Warning lights on the dashboard were flashing. I put on my hazards and pulled safely into a convenience store parking lot and shut my truck off. I waited a few minutes and turned it back on and everything came on along with the check engine light. I got back to Richmond safely and checked to see the code was for the check engine light which was a P0336. On [XXX] I went back to check the code and it was stored and the check engine light was off. On my way back home I was on [XXX] just north of Lexington VA and went to pass a slower car and the same thing happen. I was able to pull off to the right side shoulder and I turned the truck off and waited a few and turned it back on. Check engine light was on. I drove it to Roanoke and stop to get gas and check the code for the check engine light which U1401. After filling up the check engine light went off. I took it to Shelor Motor Mile on Monday 11-04-2024. They put their diagnostic tool on it and it spit out 24 different codes. They had a backlog of appointments and could not even start to address the issue for 2 weeks. I took it to the dealership that I bought it from on Monday 11-11-2024. Nobody can tell me why or what happen. One time I understand it might have been a glitch a second time it happens I consider it a safety issue that needs to be addressed. I cannot get the factory engineers to help find out whats going on with the truck. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

First off the recall for the tailgate issued was supposedly checked and OK. We pulled up to a light on [XXX], Pelham, AL 35124. When turning right onto [XXX] , the tailgate popped open and a $750.00 Drill and about $1,500.00 in concrete drills and chisels fell out in a case in the roadway. They were picked up and stolen before we could turn around and return to the scene to get them. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Ram continues to refuse to implement a fix for Recall 24V-653. The ABS disabling the Electronic Stability Control is extremely dangerous and renders my truck unfit for its intended purpose. Additionally the failure to implement a fix has made it impossible to sell or trade in my truck fir it's full market value.
